What the actual hell am I doing?
I am actually doing this?
.. okay..
Well, my name is Bri.
I am your guide to being a black Zillennial (Gen Z-er + Millennial= Zillennial).  Let’s admit it. Life is h.a.r.d. and it truly takes a village to survive this thing.
Especially when you’re a person of color... and on top of that, a female.
We are already out here trying to make the best grades, land the best jobs, lose weight, not fall for any fuck boys, travel, cure generational traumas/patterns, start a business, get our nails done, be there for our friends, graduate college, remember to call grandma, find a way to stop using our stress as an excuse to binge shop online during a pandemic, and even after ALL of that, we have to sit her and figure out how the fuck TikTok works. Phenomenal app, btw.

Then boom, add being black. Now we are having to explain systematic racism, convince people that reverse racism does not exist, try not to get overwhelmed with social media and the amount of police brutality content it provides without looking unattached to the matter, dodge being the spokesperson for all black people on topics about culture and hair, work twice as hard, and if you are in the LGBTQAI+ community... that is another layer. I want to discuss all of these things.
I am black. I am bisexual. I am a woman.
I strive to be perfect but I FUCK UP and that is okay.
I am here to show you that it is possible to be black, free, fun, educated, sexy, vulnerable, and strong.
Despite the pressures/prejudices the world loves to place on us, we are people and we deserve to carelessly live too.
