Been working on what I think of as "lore scenes". Not really part of a specific story, but events that happen between two of my stories.

Kinda needed as the set up for the later story cause I accidentally made the conflict related to the gods that made the world.

#it was just supposed to be a love story #with a world with dying magic #but the world was dying #and then it was the gods fault #then i had to figure out why it was there fault #my fluff turned into an epic fantasy

I hate the “open floor plan” that everyone is obsessed with in houses now. I want nooks and crannies and bizarre floor plans. I don’t need to be able to see what someone is doing on the other side of the house. I want places to hide and lurk and dwell in the shadows. I am the beast who awaits in the labyrinth

It grates at my soul the way people lie about abortion restrictions and regulations.

There are way too many people willing to believe there is some massive group of people who delight in the death of women.

How do these people actually sit there like "a woman died just as the evil Republicans intended when they wrote this law"

Reading Dragonsteel Prime has me thinking about how well written Kaladin is.

When he tries to save his men by using the bridge as a shield and in doing so he gets just about all the other bridgemen killed while losing the battle for the army. Like, that is such a hard loss. It reveals him to not have the big picture in mind even though his desire is good. He doesn't get how he and his men fit into the bigger schemes of the war and that blindness gets men killed.

Like he is a true hero, but also a human who doesn't always know the best move to make.

I just think it's so much fun to read.
