I simply have far too much going on to manage this website. Don’t worry all my other social medias are still active.

Working Re-sale: a fashion blogger’s experience:
I had no idea what I was getting into!
I thought resale had already had a big impact on my style, but I had never worked in it before. Working in resale and being a customer in resale are two totally different things, but the two have married and that’s what this job is like. When I am putting clothes “back onto the floor” the items are cloth, but I do stop and admire. And often times when I have admired a top for a week or few, I will use my employee discount.  I don’t just love the employee discount, I love every aspect of the job. And while the pay is pretty nice, my job is really about giving customers a positive experience. Customer service is a  fun and selfless job. My nails show that I touch, hang, and poke myself with clothing all day.
I have learned so much about style and fashion.
Style is way more simple and basic than I thought.  There is colour, fit, and an accessory.
And style is endless, as the avenues of fashion are vast.
I’ve seen some crazy items, that while I may not like, but I appreciate the design. I however do not appreciate the fake Louis Vuitton someone tried to sell us. Yet, another experience (I saw the holes from the stitching, it was pretty awful!)  I see so many different cuts, hems, necklines a day I don’t know how my brain hasn’t exploded. Probably because I have this obsession with fashion. And my opinion on an item only matters when someone asks for my opinion. This is probably one of the hardest lessons I am learning. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and while I may not like the MK bag on the wall, I will still retrieve it for someone who does! Several months ago I wouldn’t have touched a Michael Kors bag, now I am selling them. Not every top is appealing to me, not every customers personal style is either. That’s okay but I am not going to judge them for what they choose to wear. I don’t want anyone doing that to me so… I see some people wearing a Victoria Secret Track suit and wear it better than I wear my best dress. I envy those women. I see people wear clothing I would not let my mother be wearing. Regardless, every customer is important to me. Because they appreciate a good deal too. It is wonderful to create relationships with our regulars, sometimes they end up teaching me something. This job isn’t work, I learn more every day even though I am no longer in training. It has helped my social and style skills in a way that may not end.
When I started this job, my style was less polished and a little “grunge”. And now I am on the hunt for some slim fit high rise chinos. I still love my band shirts but I now pair them with a blazer and some loafers. I actually really like these brown loafers we have in my size… why haven’t I gotten them yet? I’ll call in tomorrow about them. (edit: we sold them so I just ordered some black ones… no shame)
No matter the bag or season, or even current trends. Every person deserves a good shopping experience no matter what their style may be. That has been the biggest lesson I have learned in Resale.
Now when customers do ask for me to shop for them, I NEVER HESITATE.
All in all, I love every aspect of my work. I am a proud workaholic.

Jacket: Express (as per usual)
Shoes: Saks off 5th avenue (online)
Top: Papaya (resale)
My style has been ever evolving and when I graduated High school I thought I would never wear another button up again! Well now I am most comfortable in them and I would like to find some with really interesting designs. Its actually cold where i live so the simplicity and easiness of a button up is really understated.

Shirt: Moschino (second hand from work $12) Jeans: Hollister (second hand from work $13) Shoes: Toms hemp collection Jacket: Express I'm completely obsessed with this top. It's MOSCHINO which is mind blowing to me. And it reminds me of western casinos and the theme of them. Along with the sewing mannequins on them it repeats "no to racism" which makes the top more perfect. Resale is great isn't it?
