Plate 7: Entourage and Glass Architecture
My plate title: Peaceful Gherkin
On this plate, this is a monochromatic drawing. I used pen, ink and markers. For market I only used cool grays. I learned so much stuff about this plate and enjoyed. I learned how to blend the marker even it is hard for me but I'm always give my best every plates and that's the reason why I'm always learning. I also applied my learnings on the past plates and lessons.
For the structure or building. I choose the building 30 st Mary Axe (The Gherkin). This is one of the famous building in london. This is designed by famed architect Norman Foster. I'm so inlove with this building, it's so beautiful and peaceful for me. And of course it is at least approximately 70% glass facade. 7,429 panes of glass were used – the equivalent to three football pitches. There are 792 mechanised windows that can open in the lightwells. Each floor rotates 5 degrees from the one below. It was constructed in year 2001 and completed on 2003. It's 591 feet tall.
The Peaceful Gherkin.

Midterm Project: Alter-ego
For my midterm project on ATHEORY, I chose and made the Spartan Helmet or also called "Corinthian helmet". The Spartan bravery is so wonderous and heroic. I want to be more brave and heroic like them, for my country but not only for my country, also for my one and only sister. I'm always ready to defend her and fight for her safety all the time. I'm always here when she needed me.
My spartan helmet procedures/documentations below and also my video presentation final outputs.
⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
This time, I only used glue sticks and white folder. I cut a thick strips of folder and form like a base of my helmet. I measured it to secured that it fits to my head. I also used glue stick to make it sure that it is durable and tough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cutting a small as like triangle shape. I made 4 of these for each triangle holes and put all together to form like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I sketch for my face plate, my protection of my face and cut it then I put it all together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I made the crest as well. I also cut a thin pieces of folder to look like a plume for mohawk part of the helmet.
Tumblr media
Then put all and all together......
And........
🔥🔥This is my final output of my SPARTAN HELMET made on folder. 🔥🔥
Tumblr media
My photo shoot and video presentation.

My first activity on ATHEORY1.
Tumblr media
While I'm doing this activity, I realized that every building or structure are very difficult and so hard to achieve a perfect architecture systems. you may need to try and try until you succeed. You'll need so much experience to perfect things which are the architecture systems.

Plate 1: Freehand Line Exercise
I learned so much stuff because of this plate. Freehand drawing helps develop an appreciation for observation. As well, it inspires to learn about the designed environment.
