thinking about the domains of the fear.begone avatars in the Eyepocalypse

Ryan's domain would be about digital surveillance. His victims would be privacy-obsessed folks like Mike, who try desperately to keep from being tracked on the internet but know no matter what they will always have their data stored by someone, somehow. In practical terms it's probably some sort of cyberpunk dystopia, with things like palm scanners being required to buy a hamburger or whatever, and targeted ads for horrifying things following the victims around.

|=|_1/\/(|-|'s domain is interesting to me because the more I think about it, the more I start to think he's actually an avatar of the Stranger first and the Extinction second. So his domain encapsulates the fear of the anonymous, black-hat, online hacker who means only to cause you harm. Things like fear of identity theft or bank scams probably get rolled up into his domain, and his victims live attached to their computers (probably physically fused to them in some way), having their lives picked apart and destroyed by him, knowing nothing about him except his handle and that he, whoever he is, is the one responsible for ruining them.

It was my curiosity that brought me to start playing the game. I'm no stranger to the weird and unexplained - so when I saw people start talking about this mysterious online game, with powers they said couldn't be explained, I was intrigued. Intrigued, but skeptical. I've seen more than my fair share of hoaxes in my time as a paranormal researcher, and this one had all the hallmarks of being one. But I gave it a whirl anyway, since I didn't have anything else to do, and... well. It's legit. All real. But it's not everything they made it out to be. There's dark things lying at the core of this mystery - and while I warn you not to follow me, listeners, I can't resist the urge to dive deeper.

Especially while I'm in the lead.

we're curious about Stranger!Mystery Hunter. :V i know some people are like "wow i can't imagine him and Innocent as the same guy" but that feels like a sorta audience-centric labeling, so we're curious if you have other reasons -a

It's because many of the characters have that same reaction. Being around him, especially if he's pretending to be Innocent, gives you an innate sense that something is wrong. Mike is unsettled by his behavior and motivation during the VOLUNTEER incident. When Jam meets him, they recognize the same comforting Hunter they know, but they also are unsettled by the lack of scar and clearly different demeanor, even as H explains. He's almost always oddly calm, a very Stranger-esque trait. Furthermore, one of his most significant actions in the show is his killing of Mikey during the connectivity strike, a Mikey which did not know him at all; he symbolically represents the fear of an Unknown Person in that moment.
