Mars and Anger

One of the easiest ways to understand mars and the sign it falls in lies in the notion that anger facilitates action. In other words, what makes one angry is what drives one to make changes and assert oneself - be it through healthy or hurtful means.

Aries Mars: crusades for their ideals. They’re angered when their standards aren’t met, and therefore can seem fickle in their outbursts of frustration at seemingly “normal” occurrences. Their anger helps them fight for their ideals in every aspect of their life.

Taurus Mars: works steadily for their goals. They’re angered when they feel as though they’re carrying more weight than they should, or being pushed past their limits; their anger helps them find more suitable means at achieving their goals, and less strenuous circumstances.

Gemini Mars: thrives on change and self-expression. They’re angered when they feel trapped, or others are overly critical of their adaptability; their anger facilitates the energy to cultivate rapid change, stabilizing their need for variety, and often expresses itself creatively through music, writing, or other forms of self-expression.

Cancer Mars: is self-protective. They’re angered when they feel threatened or attacked, and will act this out passive-aggressively. Their anger helps them either receive the reassurance and appreciation they need by making their feelings apparent (although indirectly), or bring their attention to needs that are being unmet.

Leo Mars: strives for meaning and significance. They’re angered when they feel humiliated or over-looked, and will utilize their anger to look for more meaning - be it through more creative pursuits, different partners/friends, or through outright self-righteous behavior to draw the attention back toward them.

Virgo Mars: are practical and productive. They’re most angered by their own insecurities, which can be in turn projected toward nit-picking others and incessant worry; this anger, however, facilitates them to engage wholly in multiple projects and work toward completing their tasks more efficiently as they combat their own anxiety at imperfection.

Libra Mars: are polite and fair. They’re most angered at injustice or crude behavior - particularly when this behavior directed toward others (they are not immediately concerned with unfair behavior unless it involves someone else, and most likely have “built-up” anger in regard to how others treat them). This anger, however, balances their indecisive nature by forcing them into action against the injustice and pioneer for equality and fairness.

Scorpio Mars: are provocative and driven. They’re most angered at attempts to demean their worth and hinder the completion of their goals; because they love a challenge, their anger drives them to prove their offender wrong (in healthy people, through cultivating their own success; in unhealthy, through revenge), and in turn, prove their power.

Sagittarius Mars: are optimistic and visionary. They’re most angered when someone acts against their philosophies or does not believe in what they do, and will in turn react as a way to assert the worth of their way of thinking/life through either debates, or fiery outbursts.

Capricorn Mars: are disciplined and ambitious. They’re most angered at chaos and irresponsibility, as well as change that comes from sources other than them; this anger allows them to channel energy into shaping their external world into one that pleases them more, and achieving a future that brings them comfort.

Aquarius Mars: thrives on independence. They’re most angered at attempts to box them into anything (routine, labels, etc.); this anger causes them to rebel, which in turn allows them to crusade not only for their own individuality and freedom, but also that of others.

Pisces Mars: are indirect and gentle. While they’re uncomfortable with expressions of their own hurt and anger, their concern with the collective allows them to misdirect their own anger through protection of (or “sticking up” for) those around them; their anger allows them to feel as though they are changing the things that hurt them, and in turn helps them help others.

Luke 22:10 reads: “Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you bearing a pitcher of water … follow him into the house where he entereth in.”

This is the symbol of Aquarius – a man bearing a pitcher of water, the end of the age of Pisces. Pisces, our current age, is symbolized by 2 fish. This is why Jesus befriends 2 fishermen when he begins his ministry. In Matt 4:19 Jesus says to Peter, “I will make you fishers of men.” In Matt 14:17 Jesus feeds them with fish saying “We only have five loaves of bread and 2 fish.” Virgo (the House of Bread) is the fifth sign of the zodiac, giving us five loaves of Virgo and 2 Piscean fish. The Piscean dual-fish symbol is found in many old Christian churches and artwork. This is also why we have the Jesus-fish symbol seen on every born-again Christian’s bumper. The word Nun is Hebrew for fish, and if you look closely, turned horizontally, the Pope’s headdress is actually a big fish-head.
