Warning - Don’t be drinking or eating anything as you read this…. You might spilt it out as you laugh out loud. Best description of the Mormon religion ever. How do you know you're in a cult? When you have to buy your underwear from your church. (Posted by an Ex Mormon). I wish I could take credit for this but I can’t. This was posted by someone commenting on my post about Magic Mormon underwear and I had to laugh out loud. Glad to see Ex Mormons have a healthy sense of humor. Saw my classmate studying his mini bible booklet so I asked him what's he's doing. The shock in my eyes after I read what he's highlighting. Story time Im just minding my own business then I saw my friend (yes he's my friend),that time I didn't know that's it's a Bible he's studying , so i asked him what it is cause I thought its a school work I didn't know about. So then I asked him he said "oh, I'm just studying the Bible" well me I'm fine with that , then I noticed that he's highlighting some words/sentences in it so I took a look.😮the shock in my face when I read it, it's all about anti-homo and your not going to heaven sh1ts ,damn he's weaponizing it. Im so mad I told him to read Leviticus 25:24-26 he said he would later well he didn't talk to me the whole day.(Btw not racist but he's black) Sorry for some grammatical error English isn't my first language. My girlfriend amd I of 5 years are breaking up because of our different religious beliefs. via /r/atheism
My girlfriend amd I of 5 years are breaking up because of our different religious beliefs. I am heartbroken. I am an atheist, and she was agnostic when we first met. I didn't want to pressure her to change for me and did not see a problem with her beliefs, even when she decided to become catholic. I have always accepted her. But she is not able to accept me, and I don't know how to change to a belief that does not make sense to me. She tells me that Jesus is the most important thing in her life now, and she wants a husband who shares her beliefs that she will spend eternity with. She was the most important thing in my life. I guess I am just venting here, I dunno what to do. We still care for each other. She just needs someone who shares her beliefs to be happy. Not sure of I am posting for validation, comfort, or to have someone change my mind. Just needed to vent. Submitted April 26, 2024 at 03:01AM by GingaNinja1427 (From Reddit https://ift.tt/huGzy5d)

My (quite likely) last birthday was last week. My Aunt paid for Catholic Masses to be held for me. via /r/atheism
My (quite likely) last birthday was last week. My Aunt paid for Catholic Masses to be held for me. I need to vent where my family can't see. I have terminal cancer and one possible option. It was likely my last birthday last week. I received a card saying the church was getting money to pray for me. This happens every year, but it really got to me this year. How is that going to help me or anyone but the church? Why not give to cancer research? Why would anyone think that is a gift that would be appreciated? I was so angry, and I had never gotten this angry before. Usually, I shake my head at her ignorance, but I'm very angry this time. I do know the fact I'm closer to dying may be to blame. I do get that I may be getting overly angry about this, instead of other things. But I'm not angry about dying. It happens to every single one of us. I'm not special. I'm not afraid to die. I'm really interested is finding out what is next. I'm sad, mostly for my family and of course myself. But I feel no fear, other than wanting it to be relatively painless. I usually deal well with these things, but this has me pissed off. Any perspective-changing thoughts are welcome. ❤️ Submitted April 26, 2024 at 03:01AM by Dying4aCure (From Reddit https://ift.tt/W1UJay0)

Mormon women are refusing to wear Magic Mormon underwear which has old Mormons men underwear in a bunch. via /r/atheism
Mormon women are refusing to wear Magic Mormon underwear which has old Mormon’s men underwear in a bunch. Mormon church is having a hard time getting younger Mormons, especially young women to wear the Magic underwear as they are supposed to. They are trying to think of ways to get the women (and men) wearing that sacred garment that Joseph Smith said they should wear at all times. My Wife's Grandmother who spent most of her life a participating member of her church admitted at the end that she no longer believed in any it. via /r/atheism
My Wife's Grandmother, who spent most of her life a participating member of her church, admitted at the end that she no longer believed in any it. When my wife's grandmother was on her last leg from cancer, she admitted in private to my wife that she no longer believed "in that stuff," after my wife asked if she was ready to see "Papa" in heaven. My wife said she was earnest and very lucid when she said that; Grandma assured her that she wasn't sad or upset about that and was just grateful for her life being what it was. This struck home for me as well, since my Grandparents on my Dad's side are Atheist, and are some of the most amazing human beings I know. Has anyone else had any other relatives who came out to you as no longer being Christian? Submitted April 25, 2024 at 06:13PM by RockyBass (From Reddit https://ift.tt/97bv1Dh)

Just ripped into my Dad. Feels Awful. via /r/atheism
Just ripped into my Dad. Feels Awful. Sent him this: The big thing I learned from focusing on the history of Christianity in the US over the course of two academic degrees and countless pages of extracurricular reading, writing, and critical thinking, was that this country is the theological descendant of the people that never got it. The people incapable of understanding that God, all of them, is a metaphor for the unknown and unknowable. American Christians inherited a disability in being unable to think abstractly enough for it all to click into place like it has for the rest of the developed world. History will remember how defiantly, proudly, ignorant American Christians put a criminal in the White House and continue to stifle every communal good that doesn't line up with whatever narrative they are sold by the elites driving the bus. The sad thing is most of them will never know that they worked against creating a heaven right here on earth because they were too busy greedily day-dreaming of their mansions full of servants in the sky. I'm a grown ass man. 45 this year. Don't talk to me about politics or religion anymore. I don't wanna hear it. Music and family, that's it. You're too deep in your cult to reason with and too proud to ever admit you don't know anymore than the rest of us about what happens when you die. Nobody knows, my guess is it's the same as before you were born. In the meantime killing each other over old books is foolish, the Bible even says so. IF God actually existed the inescapable conclusion is that this supreme mind is malevolent. via /r/atheism
IF God actually existed the inescapable conclusion is that this supreme mind is malevolent. I find relief that there is no God. Because if there really is an omnipotent God behind this creation It is patently evil. Consider anything that anyone would consider good - relationships, puppies, butterflies, etc. It all eventually ends in destruction, death usually involving suffering and pain on the way out leaving the survivors with grief. Consider all the false religions - and they are all false. An evil God would certainly encourage a multitude of religions to generate conflict and provide false hope, endless ineffective praying to control things and consume lifetimes of vain efforts. How can anyone honestly attempt to construct a good God from the given state of affairs? And religions underscore this point by inventing a God that IS evil to others but supposedly good to them. That is they declare, "we the faithful are going to heaven but all those infidels/unbelievers are going to hell". So essentially they agree with the premise that God is evil but attempt to create an island of specialness for themselves - which ironically is itself evil. Fortunately things are increasingly explained by naturalistic explanations and no God as described by religions are required. That is a good thing. Why do religion and their follower(s) claim that their religion "protected" Women? via /r/atheism
Why do religion and their follower(s) claim that their religion "protected" Women? Islam claims it gives women rights but Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan who have islamic governments say otherwise. Christianity- Deuteronomy 22:28, Mormons, Many Christian cults where women are trained to be their husbands "slaves". Hinduism- Sati, Windows are shunned, R*pe cases due to " Castes" Why do all religions try to act like protectors of women but clearly are made up by men who wanted nothing but to control women Submitted April 25, 2024 at 07:27PM by wrong_product1815 (From Reddit https://ift.tt/K7U0qep)

The amount of religious people in this subreddit just compounds my hate for religious people via /r/atheism
The amount of religious people in this subreddit just compounds my hate for religious people This is a subreddit for atheist, but everyday I see religious idiots coming in arguing with us. Imagine if we showed up at a church service and started saying “NO YOURE WRONG. GODS NOT REAL. YOURW WRONG.” There would be a god damn riot, mean while these religious idiots keep coming into this subreddit to spew their garbage and lies. To all religious people in this subreddit fuck you and your fake fucking gods. Leave this subreddit because none of us want you here; just like how you don’t want us in your “heaven”. Suck a big angel dick. Submitted April 25, 2024 at 05:13PM by Generalmogar (From Reddit https://ift.tt/ihSkVCG)
