What kind of mom is Penelope?

oh my gosh , nonny . she's just - she's the best mom ! she's got so much love to give & she gives it all to her kids . she knows what it's like to be a part of a family and lose it , and she knows what it's like to have a family of people that aren't blood and lose so many of them so she works extra hard to make sure her kids know just how much they are loved , that if they don't have anyone else they will always have her ( & their dad & their team, their family ) in their corner . she is the most supportive mom you'll ever meet , she's not much of a disciplinarian but her kids never question how much their parents love them , how proud they are of them , and they'll never , ever feel alone .

AND ANOTHER THING about penny and luke is that despite his best efforts to get her to talk to him at the time in season `12 he was built to leave. Like he didn’t want to be a part of the team officially and that was scary for her bc she was so into him but keeping her distance bc they’d just lost Derek and Derek was her platonic soulmate and no one could replace him but Luke came in and he was so kind and kept asking and asking about her life and trying to get closer to her specifically just UGH
