Yarn is so scary 'cause you'll look down and there'll be so much of it and there'll be so much of it for so long. Like I think it'll never run out. The all of a sudden you look down and there's nothing left.

Like I don't know what the manufacturers are putting it in to make it do that but it sure isn't yarn.

My face is having uncontrollable spasms. Great. It hurts really, really, really bad.

I think part of why I have trouble explaining pain to the doctor is when they ask about the pain scale I always think “Well, if someone threw me down a flight of stairs right now or punched me a few times, it would definitely hurt a lot more” so I end up saying a low number. I was reading an article that said that “10” is the most commonly reported number and that is baffling to me. When I woke up from surgery with an 8" incision in my body and I could hardly even speak, I was in the most horrific pain of my life but I said “6” because I thought “Well, if you hit me in the stomach, it would be worse.”

JUST REALIZED I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH YARN TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.

My yardage would have made a small-sized top and I'm definitely not making a small top.

Unfortunately, I cannot get more yarn because it's a discontinued yarn.

Fortunately, I can use a different yarn, bc i picked up a bunch of lace weight when it was getting discontinued and I've got solid colors.

(Or i could buy a solid fingering weight of the same make... but this is a stash busting project and honestly what else am i gonna use lace weight yarn for? All the lace I'm not making?)

(Also also, plying together a splid lace weight will be more spindle practice so... win win?)

Planning my next yarn bending project and I think i want to use this yarn and make a kind of lacy open work tank top for summer.

But now the hardest part is gonna be picking a pattern 😭

Hopefully I mathed correctly and got the measurements sized up correctly. I even made a gauge swatch, so it all should work out.

Off to a good start so far! (Jack is helping)

We finally got the new front screen door installed and it took the cats a few days to get over the Big Scary Window to The Outside. (We have Extremely Indoor cats)

Sun spots and sneaky squirrel/bird watching has helped sell the new door to Jack and Moxie at least
