Hello! Sorry this is super late, I've been swamped! Here are some issues with Dick and Clark that I really like [I wanted to make this list short and sweet but look what happened. Oops?]

Superman #700: Geometry — Clark basically babysits Dick when he goes out on patrol without Bruce’s permission, then takes him back home and does his homework for him so he doesn’t get in trouble. Very Uncle behavior.

Nightwing 1996 #30: Just Passing Through — Clark passing through Bludhaven, having a mini chat with Dick about how exhausting being a hero can be, then helping him out with some stuff because neither of them can catch a break.

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest (2022) — didn’t specify the issues because I Can’t Remember lol but also because I recommend people read the whole thing anyway, there’s some great moments throughout [definitely not me spreading my World’s Finest agenda]

Legends of DC Universe #6: Fear of God — I love first meetings between Dick and Clark and this one’s exceptionally cute

Superman/Batman Annual #2: The Man Who Stole Superman’s Powers — some of the writing be weird ass but it’s worth it for the cute Dick and Clark panels + Dick being so in awe when he meets him that he accidentally calls him Clarkman

If I may tempt you to read some good old World’s Finest Comics? [again definitely not spreading agenda]

Idk if unpopular opinion (also idc) but when DC decided to pair Clark with Diana in New 52 and call them a “power couple” I felt something inside me crumple, wither, and die like Mother Gothel when Rapunzel’s hair was chopped off.

I’m not even a diehard Clois shipper, but depriving him of that relationship and that connection to humanity is a straight up crime. Because it’s all about the balance between Clark Kent and Superman and the constant (dare I say delicious) tugging he feels between his two lives. It’s crucial that he has that, in my opinion.

If you pair him with Wonder Woman and kill off his human parents you are essentially removing the best parts of his character. You’re removing the best internal conflict he has. You are butchering an entire Kal-El. Again: a crime.

#this is something I also bring up for people who dislike Superman and think he’s boring #he’s only boring and unrelatable if you DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE SUPERMAN

Oh and btw calling/writing Clark Kent as a himbo does him a giant disservice and flattens his character on top of being inaccurate as hell. The man is an excellent journalist and is canonically witty and sharp. He’s won the Pulitzer at least once. At some point I think he even becomes temporary editor of the Daily Planet. Just because he’s kind and nice doesn’t make him a himbo. Just because he’s a “farm boy” doesn’t mean he’s dumb. bro

Yes, he grew up on a farm. Yes, he’s polite and kind. No, he is not a himbo. These things don’t come in a package.

The fact is, Clark Kent is confident enough in himself not to feel the need to flaunt his intelligence 24/7 and to be okay with letting people one-up him sometimes because he’s literally Superman.
