The sets I used the parts from were the Kopaka & Melum Unity set, Pohatu Uniter, Ketar Creature of Stone, and the mask and claw pieces from Storm Beast! I just swapped out parts on Kopaka and Melum for the different colors
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corrupted Kopaka Uniter -After an encounter with the shadow horde, the corrupted energy that the beasts posses seeped into Kopaka’s mask, giving him a sickly appearance as it slowly began to flow through the rest of his body and corrupted his elemental energy. This energy also infected Melum like a contagious disease after uniting, as his gold faded and the noble creature went into a more feral state. The Toa seek a cure for infection before the two begin to lose themselves completely to the disease. This is just a quick part swap I made. I’m particularly a fan of this mask so I wanted to experiment with it and the concept a little, and I’m happy with how it turned out. I don’t own certain parts in trans lime green but the mix of trans light blue ended up giving off an even more sickly look. Those small accents of faded lime on Kopaka’s prints really feel at home now. (apologies for any blurriness in the photos)

I was thinking of entering the Makuta contest but I’m not sure if I’d be able to compete with all of these fantastic entries. It’s difficult for me to take apart sets, but should I still try it?

Lego hasn’t been very transparent on how well Bionicle G2 has actually sold But at least a lot of their ccbs pieces were *Seinfeld theme plays*

THE CONCLUSION OF “THE JOURNEY TO ONE” MARKS THE END FOR LEGO® BIONICLE® GENERATION 2
I’m upset about this, but I don’t want to rant. Instead, I want to thank everybody who worked on G2 and made it what it was. To the set designers: Thank you for reshaping Bionicle in a new, modern way. You’ve proven that the CCBS can do a lot more than it ever did with Hero Factory, and in the process have inspired myself and countless others to experiment with the system and create amazing things. The sets that have been released over the past two years have all been fantastic. Thank you. To the story team: Thank you creating a new, exciting take on the Bionicle franchise. While not the original, G2 was certainly distinct and interesting, and thoroughly engrossing. You opened up a ton of opportunities for fans to come up with their own adventures and characters within the new universe, and I can only imagine that they will continue to expand it further. Thank you. To Volta: Thank you for creating Journey to One, probably one of the best pieces of Bionicle storytelling I’ve come across. You translated the toy designs excellently, and blended 2D and 3D animation beautifully to create a show that is incredibly satisfying to watch. Thank you. To the social media team: Thank you for keeping us updated on everything Bionicle, and allowing us unprecedented access to concept artwork for the franchise. It must be tough work putting up with hundreds of avid fans every day, and for that I commend you. Thank you. Overall, thank you for bringing Bionicle back. It’s sad that you can’t continue, but I respect and commend your efforts, and look forward to what you’ll be coming up with next.‪ #‎ThankYouLego‬

I've had a reoccurring dream where there were G1 sets sold that were pretty much like shiny Pokémon, in that they were rare recolored versions of existing sets, including new colors and new recolored pieces.

Well here it finally is, my first Toa Mata MOC I’m still working on the name and I am unsure of what element he is, but this is supposed to be my sorta self moc. Along with his sword, he has a piece of armor that generates a force field protecting himself from incoming attacks. He uses Kanohi Kakama to grant him speed and agility, as well as the Kanohi Miru to add to this mobility with levitation. He also sports a beautiful dark turquoise.
His smol Matoran form/companion is also included.

In wondering if in Journey to One Umarak the Destroyer will just roar and yell or if he’ll actually have speaking lines. Maybe Makuta himself can speak through Umarak, as he is in control of him?

Something I'm not sure if anyone has brought up or not is the fact that the masks that come with Beasts in August include versions of Tahu, Kopaka, and Onua's normal unity masks melding with trans lime. I'm trying to figure out how this ties in story wise, for I would imagine the Beasts would steal the Toa's golden masks of unity instead, because that's what I would imagine they would be wearing. Also I find if they were gold with trans lime they would be more appealing imo

So I had an idea to make a MOC of a Creature of Shadow, just because I think it would be cool for Umarak to have his own creature and Uniter form. It would match his color scheme with black/trans green pieces as well as some dark red, silver, brown, tan, and gunmetal accents. I think it would certainly be possible and I would love to pull it off. I was thinking I could resemble a wolf, though I still haven’t figured out how to add a gear function to the design. Unfortunately I don’t have to money to do this right now, but I’ll consider in the future. I think it would be interesting and decided I should share the idea.
