what's your favorite book of the bible?

mark or matthew. the story about the woman who bled has resonated with me since i first heard it. mark 5:34 says “daughter, your faith has made you well. go in peace. your suffering is over” in the chosen they add the lines “you must be… exhausted”. it’s a short passage but it’s so beautiful 🤍🤍

no matter how far you feel from God, he is right there waiting for you. it doesn’t matter how long it’s been. whatever it is you feel right now, know you do not have to clean yourself up before you come to Jesus. come messy, come broken. come however you are at this moment, and you will come out new. you do not have to change before you come to God. you will come out changed. if you feel like you can’t come to Jesus in the middle of your suffering, in the middle of your struggle, whatever season you may be in; THAT is the very thing keeping you away from God’s mercy, from his grace. he is reaching for you. reach out for him. i love you all. my brothers and sisters in christ, i come to you in a time of need. one of my brothers have been really struggling lately. he’s lost. i don’t think i can pray for him all on my own. if you guys could pray for him and just ask God to put his hands around my brother and save him, that’d mean the world to me. my heart aches seeing him like this. we’ve lost both of our parents young but it’s hit him the hardest. i just want him home and safe. amen and God bless y’all 🤍🤍

I implore you gently to read your Bible today. If you’ve never read the Bible before, you can start with the first four books of the New Testament. These are called the gospels. They teach you about who Jesus was, what He did, and what He said. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and how much you agree with Him. God is not what you’ve been told He is! He is on your side and loves you deeply.

You can also read the Psalms. These are songs written primarily to or about God by David, an ancient king. They’re quick and easy and really useful when you’re feeling strong emotions. David is often depressed, despairing, and angry in these songs. But you get to see the journey through David’s relationship with Hod between each psalm. I think you will find these relatable. There are so many of them that have comforted me while I was in a terrible mental state. There are many joyful ones too.
