“Who am I to deny gravity, Aurora? When you shine brighter than any constellation in the sky?”

Finished up the audiobook of Aurora Rising this morning. Is my favorite character Kal? Why yes. Yes it is.

But Finian is a very close second. Real close. So close.

But for real. This book was fantastic. There’s a real focus on the characters and the switch from POV to POV worked well. It reminded me a lot of Six of Crows, which is my favorite, so obviously that’s a good thing in my book.

But while a lot of character driven books struggle with the plot, this one did not. It was intriguing and kept me interested and wanting to read more. And I did not expect where it was headed. I am so ready to start the second book. And not just cuz Kal is on the cover. ( 🤷‍♀️ I am but a simple woman. Give me a warrior who’s trying to not be as bad as he wants to falling in love and doing absolutely anything to protect his mate and I will adore him.)

On to book two gents!
