@scolopendragonfish It's hard to really compare due to the nature of risk as well as the matter of someone's core being, as many would absolutely share the opportunity to allow another to touch their very essence if they could. In that sense, there's many ways to make up for that, such as the act of creation or gifting to another with the focus being on that very person itself. A sliding scale of fantastic to mundane becomes terribly fuzzy when the yearning of the very soul becomes involved, for I've seen many times that many would go beyond their limits to satiate their desires. A philosophical quandary, it is, to compare the matters of "soul" to flesh, but a fun quandary never the less. At the end of it all, is it not the act of baring oneself, vulnerable and true, to another that gives either gesture their significance?

That little smirk at the end of the black one on that ask meme, though, is just so silly. You can't say "No questions asked" and then define what you just said with a silly little smirk. You're ruining the DEPTH of such a series of words, putting a board underneath a fathomless sea of possibility for those to wonder and wander through.

Truth be told, looking at that ask meme, the whole biting thing is especially amusing because... It's all about the framing, you see. Yes yes, I do know that many enjoy the act of biting for myriad reasons, due to the intimacy and closeness it provides as well as the level of trust shared mixing with the danger of it all... But I'm positive that whoever made that little set up was not thinking of all the amazing individuals on here whose chompers are beyond the norms of the regular human. It's a regular supernatural cavalcade, a menagerie of fangs as far as the eyes can see. Obviously this does heighten the significance of the gesture in saying "Ah yes, I'd like them to bite me" if they had a usual mouth...compared to someone with a maw like my own. A difference truly defined by inches! On the flipside...me saying I'd let someone bite me has different weight as there's simply no flesh or bone or sinew or blood to draw forth. Teeth sink in through variably firm velvet covering to touch upon a roiling sea of gold to which my very existence is defined, contained only by a well honed self definition of my very being. Compared to the subconscious existence of a normal mortal life, with all the carnal implications that come with, where one's very own life force would spill forth if the other party was just a bit too eager or just right with the force... Truly something to ponder over, the significance of these mundane gestures in a more fantastical scope.

Is a question I'm positive is ringing red hot between your collective ears, eyes, and other sensory organs that you use to behold the wonderful world that you live in. Naturally, striving fellow that I am to appease the question hungry masses...have prepared an answer! Specifically, I've been spending time in the Cultivation Department with the ever impressive FULVUS who has been showing me the myriad mycological wonders that they've been cultivating. This, naturally, lead to the two of us spending an impressive amount of time watching them grow in real time and thusly I've been away accordingly. Though now... NOW! I'm here!
