what makes Snow such a formidable villain within THG universe is that nothing he does was set in stone. there was no sense of inevitability about his actions and his brutality. Snow had enough perspective of poverty, capital cruelty, district hunger and not to mention his own arena experience’ and yet he actively chose at every moment to stray from natural goodness. its even more terrifying in the sense that he had the ability to care. Snow is not a mindless sociopath, he displays feelings to others such as sejanus, lucy grey and tigris but ultimately he will always choose himself. his ability to betray those he cared about in order yo advance himself makes him so much more than the stereotypical villain who is forced into his actions.

I presume that sejanus' body was left in district 12, I assume he never got his last rites. Maybe he was stuck there, underground in an unmarked grave until the bombs fell over the district. When for the first time in 65 long lonely years his bones were uncovered and he got to feel the sun shine over his weary remains. His own legacy waking him up to watch the snow fall, the districts rising up, the rebellion that he hoped to see. The mockingjay singing the end of the hunger games. Rather than the jabberjays that haunted him. What he had hoped for, for so long, finally coming to fruition.
But he still doesn't get his last rites.
His name is still lost to time like Lucy Grey's.
He never got to see his own district again.
The capitol fell, his "friend" fell.
He got what he wanted but it was too late for him, for Marcus, for so many others.
Sejanus Plinth is his own quiet tragedy, not 2 decades of life, being an outsider, trying to help. All for nothing, his death is near inconsequential.
A bitter tale of all those we lose to time that never see what they were fighting for. Wrong place or wrong time?
Left in 12, finally at rest in the districts.

Part Two || The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Enneagram
Coriolanus Snow
Type Eight || 8w7 || 835
Tumblr media
Type Eight (8w7)
Coriolanus demonstrates throughout the text an almost obsessive fear of vulnerability. It informs many of his decisions; by the end of the novel he resolves to never allow himself to experience love again, as the loss of Lucy Gray and Sejanus have left him feeling weak - and this feeling of weakness almost visibly drives him mad.
Coriolanus falls into the trap of the type 8 personality of relying on his sense of control. He tells us in no uncertain terms that he preferred Lucy Gray when she was in the arena, when he knew where she was and he was not susceptible to feel jealousy. He believes she belongs to him. He exhibits these behaviours with Sejanus and Tigris also. He is very assertive.
Coriolanus’ desire for power and control come from his belief that he is unrivalled in terms of leadership qualities, that at all times - he is the best man for the job. Everything that comes his way, he is confident that he is deserving due to both birth right, and the qualities he believes he possesses innate to him.
Type Three (3w4)
Coriolanus is deeply conscious of his image, and how that will lead to his success. He refuses to give even a hint of his poverty and hunger to his classmates at the Academy and will do whatever it takes to maintain the facade he believes will ensure his social success.
He is very charming and charismatic with his peers, having seemingly long-standing friendships with Clemensia and Lysistrata, and being among the few who don’t openly bully Sejanus during their time at school. He maintains a withdrawn and surface level friendship with all around him - and is very much bothered by the fact that Dean Highbottom does not hold him in high regard.
He is calculating in his diplomacy, withholding the true nature of Sejanus’ demise from everyone aside from Dr Gaul, and swallows his guilt immediately to turn on the charm for the Plinths, in order - once again - to ensure his own success. Sejanus describes Coriolanus as someone who watches everything and only weighs in when he deems it necessary.
Type Five (5w6)
As above, Coriolanus is highly perceptive. His ability and drive to have a comprehensive idea about his surroundings and peers are a kind of armour for him. He refuses to take anybody at their word and involves himself whenever he is spurred by the drive to be fully cognisant of events. To be in control.
He belittles Sejanus constantly for his reliance on emotion and opinion when debating the Capitol’s morality, and the value of the games. He is extremely logical in his approach to gamemaking - a trait that Dr Gaul values, and Dean Highbottom attempts to suppress.
He is isolated and secretive in both his goals and methods, needing only his own counsel and understanding to make any decision.
Thanks for reading! I intend on making more of these as the mood strikes me, Lucy Gray will likely be next.
These posts solely reflect my personal interpretation of these characters based on both the books and movies. If you would type them differently, I’d love to hear your perspective.
I used the Enneagram Institute webpage for type descriptions to make my initial decisions for this post, for more information on Enneagram Types in genera, I can recommend their site!

The Researcher Archetype (145) - Part1
It's been a long time since I've been studying the Enneagram and its tritypes. But I find few references about the variations of certain tritypes, particularly the "The Researcher" type. Some of the references I find are on the Personality Database Wiki and Personality Cafe, as well as Katherine Fauvre's official website. I'll break it down into parts to make it more accessible. If you can share your experience through this post or by tagging me, I would be delighted.
■■■
"Tritype® 145, 154, 415, 451, 514, 541-The Researcher If you are a 145, you are diligent, intuitive, and knowledgeable. You want to be ethical, original, and wise. Highly intellectual, you are focused on what you perceive is correct and above reproach. Motivated to be informed, you are research-oriented. You seek and quote the opinions of experts to avoid being uncertain and seen as ignorant. You like to learn and will deeply study whatever captures your interest."
-Katerine Fauvre
________
[Personality Database Wiki]:
1+4: The Humanist
Double frustration.
Enhances the natural line of connection to ONE and FOUR.
Pairing that is the most focused on refining their ideals, pursuing higher standards.
Whatever the instinctual stacking or the head type, there is a strong push toward what is considered tasteful, decent and grotesque, vulgar.
Want to bring its intuition and imagination front and center but with certain standards and guidelines.
This is a very persnickety and particular pairing that needs to do things a certain way, even when it isn’t practical.
Subtle (or not so subtle) disdain for what is considered subpar, plain, normal or mediocre.
They are often hard to truly please and are even very critical of themselves.
Conflictual relationship with their emotions: refrain from feeling, then let go.
Wants to experience life in all its depth and glory, but the ONE fix wants to keep that within certain rules and boundaries of decency.
May cultivate spiritual and/or religious outlook on life.
Can bring out new standards of excellence, unparalleled visions of beauty.
Can be attached to certain aspects of art and/or culture.
Often quite philosophical and adamant about setting certain standards.
In very low levels of health may run the risk of emotional and mental exhaustion by restricting themselves from continuously harsh standards.
May unintendedly castrate their own emotional experience by repeated superego blockage.
Invertedly, may also sabotage their ability to think critically and rationally with their emotional tidal waves.
The 4 fix helps the core 1 to experience life through a more intuitive and spiritual way so to search for meaning.
The 1 fix helps the core 4 to bring structure and order in its emotional musings and bring out its internal desires to fruition.
1+5: The Rational
Double competency.
Pairing that is the most focused on accuracy and scientific methods of reasoning.
Most cerebral combination.
Usually display tastes for intellectual pursuits and a deep hunger for knowledge.
Not easily satisfied with the superficial answers; knows what and how to search for them.
Usually very focused mind that can home in on what to extract from books and sources of information.
Can give extremely detailed and structured information about a subject that they have studied.
Probably one of the most aloof and emotionally distant pairing there is. A TWO wing or fix can help alleviate that tendency.
Very curious mind. They want to know everything that something or someone has to offer.
There is always an effort to be exhaustive and precise in their speech while avoiding rambling if possible.
Pairing that is the most uncomfortable with superficial chat and can be awkward in social situations.
It’s hard for them to let go of the formalities and be more open-minded for one.
They can be stuck with their way of thinking and not welcome new situations because of this.
Can be frustrated by the lack of standards and in-depth knowledge that others cannot display.
Can be easily seen by others as know-it-alls, since they like to correct people on having accurate information.
This pairing can suffer from mental exhaustion because of the level of accuracy and methodical search that they abide by on a daily basis.
The 5 fix helps the core 1 to withhold judgment before complete exhaustivity and having a more objective outlook on a subject.
The 1 fix helps the core 5 weighing which information is worthful or not and become more structured in its analysis.
4+5: The Introspective
Double withdrawn.
Paring that is the most introspective and focused on its inner life.
Enhances the natural wings of FOUR and FIVE.
This is the deep divers of their own personal abyss.
People with this pairing are deep thinkers and feelers.
Often feel like a drop in the ocean, like they could be easily swallowed by the outside world.
Feel tired very quickly when interacting with people, especially in new environment.
Genuinely feel different and separate from the crowd.
Generally, prefer written communication over spoken one.
Seek depth in everything and often cannot tolerate daily conversations because of this.
Often engrossed in interests far more than other pairings.
They have a hard time communicating their feelings if they are caught up in them.
Often have a capacity for forming mental maps in which they can intuitively navigate.
Seek beauty and authenticity in the pursuit of knowledge.
Often have odd or unusual interests.
Can be shut ins and live in their own fantasy realm.
Can be emotionally moved and not overtly showing it at all.
Often have a hidden self that very few people are aware of.
Want to be known for their artistic complexity and ingenuity.
It can take them enormous amount of time to produce something because they always prioritize quality over quantity.
Feelings can be a source of anxiety, but they still want to experience them.
Often amass vast amount of knowledge and are often wise beyond their years.
The 5 fix helps the core 4 seek out logical causes to their feelings of inferiority and pursue intellectual hobbies.
The 4 fix helps the core 5 break out of the cerebral mindset and allow intuitive and emotional depth to seep into the self.

the way can't catch me now could easily be about sejanus too is a stroke of genius on olivia's part. because, in a way, snow was haunted by sejanus. sejanus' death was his final pushing point into cruelty. sejanus was the only good left in him, the only thing holding him to goodness, but the moment coriolanus betrayed him, he was changed. he became snow. he is haunted by sejanus in the jabberjays, the mockingjays, he sees him in katniss, in her stubbornness, in her unwillingness to be easy for others to shallow, in her bravery, in her fierceness. everywhere he looked, he saw sejanus, in the whole rebellion, in the face of his parents who basically adopted snow, in katniss honoring rue's death by surrounding her with flowers the same way sejanus honored marcus' body by sprinkling bread on him to help his journey. he caged peeta, the same way he wanted to cage lucy gray, but he couldn't cage katniss. he couldn't cage sejanus. no matter how hard he tried, sejanus remained a good person, remained true to himself till his death. he killed sejanus but he couldn't kill what he stood for, he couldn't kill the inherent goodness in people. lucy haunted him till the ends of his days, but so did sejanus.

Ah that’s interesting!! I did consider type 8 also!
I think I would put his subtypes as 4w3 and 6w7. 4w3 because he’s much more action driven than a 4w5 would be, and 6w7 because I really just don’t see much 5 in him at all, whereas 7’s impulsivity would suit him. 8 is a very interesting point though I definitely see your logic - and might be inclined to agree!
I’m not all that familiar with the instinctual variants, as often as I refresh my memory on them I forget their significance so I won’t show myself up trying to form an opinion on here haha
Part One || The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Enneagram
Sejanus Plinth
Type One || 1w2 || 146
Tumblr media
Type One:
Sejanus is motivated by his desire for Goodness, in the moral sense. His ethical integrity is at the forefront of his personality, and is the be all and end all of all his decisions and relationships.
Ones are highly principled and decisive when dealing with moral quandaries, and they seek out a sense of purpose
Sejanus resents his father, his classmates, and the Capitol on the whole for decisions that are at odds with his own ideals, and refuses to let that go unnoticed; at all times, the most important thing for him is to stand up for what he believes is right and just.
Type Four:
Fours tend towards melancholia. They can be explosive and sensitive, especially when circumstances challenge their sense of identity.
Sejanus has a habit of self-pity, however justified it might be, and wears his emotions blatantly on his sleeve. He is not precious about being seen as flawed, but is absolute about being authentic and true to himself (and his ideals).
Type Six
Sejanus is committed to both his goals and his friends - right to the bitter end. He will only momentarily stray from his stubbornly held beliefs when cornered by Coriolanus, his closest, and perhaps only, friend.
He desires material and emotional security for himself and his loved ones, and we only see him falter when their safety and his own is compromised - when his actions backfire and he comes face to face with the chaos in his wake.
Thanks for reading! I intend on making more of these as the mood strikes me - particularly Coriolanus and Lucy Gray, and I might try my hand at the main trilogy too (as soon as I finish my reread)!
