started norwegian wood today, and i'm reminded of how much i love murakami's works. but on the note of actual productivity; i made something of a draft / study plan for neuroanatomy and studied a bit. trying to get the feel for it again; who knew that it takes so little time to lose focus? i hope to catch up with histology 2.0 over the weekend, too. fingers crossed.

My native language is English. I studied French for four years in high school (most of which was during COVID, so I would say I’m only at the B1 level). Now, I am taking my first semester of Arabic!

Sept 9-10, 2023- Weekend ✧ Productively Challenged 40-41/50

Spent the weekend cleaning, organizing and doing a lot of prep work for my first full week of teaching at the new school this upcoming week. I also ordered some stuff online (so exciting!) it’s been a while since I had an excuse to lol. My glasses broke in the midst of all the chaos last week so I ordered those too. It’s fun- it feels like I’m reinventing myself✨

Bare econ notes taken for tomorrow’s lecture. I plan to annotate them with my professor’s comments during class and add color when I review them afterward! Also, I made an 88 on this last test after making a 71 on the first one. Hopefully, this note-taking technique will maintain my progress!

Also, on an entirely different note, I made a painting this last Friday! I used only primary colors to start with, adding in some white later. It’s Bob Ross-inspired with a unique twist. I call it The Trees Are Watching.

9.7.23 - First Week of School ✧ Productively Challenged 38/50

First day of school! Absolute chaos.💀🤕🤧. Who am I. What am I doing here. Struggle is real lol but I’m hopeful that it will get better once we actually get into a routine with the lessons and work. Goodbye summer… there are 12 days left but I know I’ve signed them away to this job 🌧

1/10/2023 | day 13/30

i was so caught up in revising on 30th that i forgot to post, drank a lot of coffee and stayed up late to revise. surprisingly woke up early on(7 am) and revised for 3 hrs and then fell asleep. woke up just in time and went to give my test - i'll be honest it went better than i had expected. there was a lot of syllabus to cover in just 2 weeks so obviously i didnt finish everything but i had studied most of the things. came home and reviewed the paper, as usual some silly mistakes in biology and inorganic chemistry. physics was good hehe.

It’s the way all the new science teachers keep hanging out in the science lab instead of the teachers’ lounge 🤧 it’s the scientists in us - the lab is our natural environment, even in an unfamiliar place. The flowers are from my dad 🪴
