it just kind of sucks when you already struggle with identity and self-perception for a variety of unrelated reasons and also have to contend with the fact that the vast majority of peoples models for how the world works simply does not include you. mainstream society draws a clear and explicit dividing line between “male” and “female” that each contain specific standards for appearance and patterns of behavior with very little wiggle room allowed, and no matter which one i try to slot into, it always feels so incorrect. it just doesnt work if those are the only two options; i, the person, cannot and will never make sense within that binary. and, like with so many things, i just kind of have to come to terms with the fact that 99.9% of people in the world will look at me and see something completely different from how i actually am. an automatic categorization that doesnt actually apply. but that, combined with every other aspect of my life where i struggle to understand myself and communicate myself to others, and it just. i dunno. it really fucks with you long-term, to be constantly misunderstood by others and always seen as something other than yourself

#and of course while i am talking about my own experiences with it i am well aware that i am far from the only one #it is by design that the patriarchy must define gender with such rigidity #even most cis people dont fit into these standards perfectly and will contort themselves into uncomfortable shapes so that they do #while simultaneously punching down on everyone who threatens their idea of what the world is supposed to look like and how people are- #-supposed to be and behave #most harshly on those like trans women who threaten the patriarchy with their very existence #there Has to be a strict dividing line between “woman” and “man” that cannot be crossed or blurred and women have to be considered inferior #because the whole ideology immediately starts to fall apart at the seams if people who threaten that idea simply by existing are seen as- #-normal and allowed to freely exist in the world #there are multiple dimensions to this of course. its related to colonialism and racism and the erasure of non-white identities as well- #-for starters #but its not arbitrary you know. the reason the world is like this is because there are a lot of people who benefit from it #it just kinda makes the world a miserable hellscape to try to live in if you dont happen to make sense within it already. which most- #-people simply do not and cannot no matter how aggressively they are pressured and mocked and punished and ostracized #my post #personal

Deeply fucked up that this game (real life) forces you to play a crafting mini-game (cooking) every time you want to replenish your stamina bar.

You can skip the crafting game by using a pre-made consumable if you have them on hand, but high level players will constantly nag you about it and tell you that it damages your character's stats in the long run.
