Its karate you can tell by the uniforms and the way Mikey kicks

Dobok (taekwondo uniform) might seem like karate gi (Karate uniform) but they are very diffrent if you pay close attention. For example Karate Gis top is a jacket while A doboks top is more of a shirt. Doboks top has also like a deep V-neck.

Even though in karate we mostly do punches we still do lots of kicks and a lot of people prefer kicks over punches (also Mikey is pretty short compared to others so no wonder he likes kicks better) and most of the kicks ive seen him do are karate ones

Well considering it's a dojo and in Japan with a Japanese style to it, it would seem like karate would be the most obvious choice (not sure which style since I'm not knowledgeable enough on that). However his fighting style relies heavily on kicks, which resembles taekwondo more closely. So I think the correct answer for Mikey is that he likely knows both or borrows techniques from both, something Grandpa Sano likely taught him, since he's a prodigy. As for Baji he tends to rely more on punches which seems more similar to karate.
