Looking for advice on this plot I came up with. (Val is the main character and btw there's a bunch of murder/sacrifice/cult shit in it)

Val gets an invitation from a secret, elite group at his university. He lives for a week, trying to ignore the strange invite. Then, he gets taken to a strange cabin in the woods near the school.

It’s revealed that the group sent him the letter. They tell him that their god guided them to Val and he’s a new member. If he refuses to join, they must kill him.

They give him a day to decide. During the time he has, he hears of murders that have been happening around the campus. He decides to join the group.

They initiate him into the group. The murders, his studies, and group meetings continue as he finds himself falling more into the cult’s delusion.

The leader gives Val the final test of killing someone for their god. He kills his love interest/Noelle and turns to the cult more and more to cope for what he’s done.

Val starts to go crazy and hallucinate. He hears voices coming from their “god”/Pseftis. Then, Val kills himself and the group for Psefits.

—>

It’s revealed that the headmaster was behind the cult, and it was just an experiment.
