Lum walked slowly through the streets of Tomobiki, carrying the bag of groceries she had bought for dinner.

I wonder what my darling will cook when he arrives?

Her husband's cooking had improved quite a bit over the past few years, and even though she had made significant progress in cooking earthling food as well, they both cooked. Monday, Friday, and Sunday was her turn, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday was his.

Sunday was the day they both cooked together.

"Hehehehehehehe" Her smile and the sweet but small laugh of the young alien girl made the hearts of the passers-by fall in love.

And who could not see the young girl with eyes of love when she had the atmosphere of the most tender and mature infatuation embracing her? Many say a woman in love becomes attractive to those who desire it.

They wanted to approach her, they wanted to conquer her, so that those flushed cheeks would be the result of their actions, so that this act of fine tenderness would be the answer to their flirtations.

But they dared not, the ring on her hand was a sign that she was married and happy, to the agony of those lovers of forbidden romance.

Dreamers dared to ignore the ring on her hand and began to approach her to show her that they were a better prospect than the guy with him, the one she was married to.

The girl closed her eyes, lost in her romantic thoughts, oblivious to the danger lurking. Only one of her victims dared to approach her, the bravest one.

"How can you be so distracted, Lum?" A man's voice broke the dreamy effect of the other boys. They noticed for the first time how a brown-haired, walnut-eyed man approached the beautiful girl with familiarity, "You should be careful, a car or a motorcycle might pass by, you might hurt yourself by being stupidly distracted"

How dare that young man have the nerve to talk to her like that? What was he to her? A friend of hers, perhaps?

"Darling…" The girl blushed as he gave her a tender, playful smile as he approached her. The surrounding men screamed internally with envy at that endearment nickname used towards him.

"Were you thinking of me?" His tone was clearly teasing, but listeners who were not drunk on the girl's beauty and who knew the boy, could clearly hear that his voice was soft and honeyed.

"I was thinking about what were you cooking today! I thought of that!" the girl turned around, completely blushing. She tried to hide how nervous she was thanks to seeing how handsome he looked in the sunlight.

I can't tell him how happy it makes me to think of us cooking together! In our house and how much I miss seeing him! He wouldn't let me live it down!

Years ago, Lum might have shouted it to the four winds, only to be met with his supposedly adolescent indifference, but now that would be dangerous because she knew he wouldn't hesitate to show her how happy it made him to hear it in the form of hugs, kisses and caresses full of love that electrocuted her skin.

In the past, there was that Ataru Moroboshi who flirted with girls because of his love for the chase and did not like to admit what he really felt.

Since their last race together, something began to change in him, he began to be more open and show more of his feelings, to the point of becoming a completely different person than the one the citizens of Tomobiki had seen. His loyalty and love for Lum was unquestionable, there was no doubt about that, but for him to express it so openly in recent years was overwhelming.

And truth be told, it was Ataru Moroboshi himself who was most surprised by his change. No matter how much he tried to continue the old habit of chasing girls when he knew that Lum was chasing him or knew about the situation, he just didn't want to do it anymore.

It took Ataru years to understand the reason for such an abrupt change in his routine, a change he could easily accept after he had left that high school boy mentality behind.

He could no longer take Lum's love for granted, she could not love him forever with all his crazy high school desires, after all, she was ready to forget all their moments together through technology so as not to be hurt anymore by his stupid immaturity.

At first, it was hard for him to admit that because of his harem desires, his future with her would be entirely damaged and eliminated. The illusion of this mischievous young man was completely shattered when he saw that he would lose Lum forever in exchange for fulfilling his illusion.

In which he became the most despicable, humiliating person who dared to use Lum at his convenience, exploiting the only true love he ever had just to fulfill a stupid dream. At the end, his future self felt only emptiness and regret without her.

He would never forget the satisfaction of knocking out the asshole version of his future self.

That's when he realized that she was irreplaceable for him, that no matter if he had a harem in the future, without her, he would become a human trash who wouldn't understand his mistakes and would only cry because he knew that he had lost the most valuable thing in his life.

But he didn't change right away, it was a very slow process thanks to his pride and stubbornness. Something that almost cost him dearly in his last race with her and after he caught her in his arms, at that moment was when it really started, his maturation process.

Back then he didn't see it as maturing, simply seeing it as changing priorities, but now, as a young married adult, he could admit that it was a process in which he left behind those impossible illusions one has as a teenager or child and moved forward to have a real future with Lum.

The one he had tried to save as a teenager.

"Well, Miss Moroboshi. Allow me to escort you to the comfort of your home, your husband would be worried if he knew the dangers lurking around here" His smile was gallant as he offered her his hand, even though his tone sounded threatening to the lovers of the unwanted.

"Thank you," Lum Moroboshi smiled shyly as she accepted him,still blushing hard, much to everyone's pain and dissatisfaction.

"I'm jealous of your husband, you know?" Ataru commented as he brought his hand closer to the one he was holding and brought it to his lips, kissing his wife's palm, "A woman as beautiful as you, can't be from this planet."

The young girl couldn't say anything, she still wasn't used to his serious flirtation, and only her cheeks showed the effect of his words by blushing even more.

Ataru gave her a smile of complete happiness. He noted that one of the few advantages of being so cold to her when he was young was that he could now surprise her with his best flirtatious phrases.

Which were completely honest.

After all, people would still ask him now, how could he live so calmly and happy with her, knowing how he acted when he was a teenager? His flirty actions towards others when he had her at his side? How was he not ashamed of his past?

And he always answered them.

"My past is something I am not proud of at all, but I have to admit that because of it I was able to get something good out of my life that I still have and will continue to have, my relationship with Lum. I wouldn't have met her or grown to love her so much if I hadn't known her at that time and known that she accepted me with all my mistakes. ….. How could I not realize that I wanted to grow up and stay with her after everything we went through?"

In the end, everyone was surprised by his words, far away was the teenager with a mocking tone, looking for excitement in other women. Now there was only a young adult who was completely in love with his wife, and although he was not proud of his past, he accepted it and saw it in a positive light.

The envious wanted to see doubt and even guilt in this confession, something that would rob him of the happiness he radiated in the present, if only for a few moments, but they never got it. They and the evil tongues gnashed their teeth when they saw that the unluckiest boy in Tomobiki had become a respectable and even handsome young man. All the old ladies who had once whispered to Mrs. Moroboshi about the unhappy future that awaited the heir of the Moroboshi family name, did not have the face to speak to Mrs. Moroboshi now, for that would be to admit that their whispers about his future were wrong in the end.

As it should be

Ataru intertwined his fingers with Lum's as he helped her carry the shopping bag, marking the territory. Proving to those idiots that Lum was his to love, cherish and protect.

Lum, the girl who brought love, happiness, and luck into his life.

It was all over, in Tomobiki High School there was a strong and tense atmosphere. The students of class 2-4 were waiting for a metaphorical explosion from their classmate Ataru Moroboshi, vice president of the class.

His dark circles under his eyes and a slight nervous twitch that appeared from time to time in his eye was somewhat worrying but his incredible bad temper and guarded anger was the clear example of a bomb that was going to explode at any moment, it only took some poor soul to do the smallest thing that was not to his liking for all his insomnia and internal frustration to present itself in the form of cutting words that would hurt even the person with the strongest self-esteem.

No one present could calm him down or bring him to his senses, his closest friends tried but were unsuccessful. The only one who could defuse the bomb before it exploded was Lum, but she was renewing her passport since a few days ago, which only worsened Ataru's mood.

Everyone knew that Ataru loved Lum madly and that without her, Ataru would have gone to the hospital for not eating and lack of sleep. She was his everything, his angel who cared for him and supported him and who scolded and electrocuted him when he went to extremes because of his stubbornness. Even Ataru could no longer deny that he wasn't interested in her, their acting had become closer and more comfortable, allowing Ataru to let his guard down and seek her out for comforting times with a hug when he was on the verge of stress.

He didn't dare say they were dating, she deserved a declaration of love and dates, not to be stuck with him in the classroom filling out and sorting papers to get a good grade.

His goal at first was simple, to have better grades to have time to spare in the vacations and to be able to date more girls, even to avoid Lum at some point, as he claimed she would get bored at him later, as most people did.

But that never happened, she was always with him, supporting and helping him, standing by him when he was left alone in the classroom after school. So much so that at some point she learned how to organize certain roles, later becoming a member of the student committee of classroom 2-4.

Ataru let his guard down with her thanks to all the work and stress he received as vice-president, something that at first bothered him quite a lot he began to appreciate it too much, more than he dared to accept and he didn’t even had time to accept openly that he was in love with her.

However, he didn't need to hide it, he didn't have the strength to do it anymore. Now he would just change the subject or ignore the question, he wasn't an idiot and he knew his act with Lum was more familiar and intimate, like when she fed him in his mouth while he was going through papers.

They seemed like a married couple sometimes according to the rumors at school and even the cheekiness he had when he and Lum would hold hands in school grounds, but unknown to them she was just trying to calm him down somehow and it worked a little, it really did.

His pre-VP self would have dismissed the rumors strongly but in the present, he just didn't have the energy to deny it.

When Lum arrived at the school all seemed quiet as she flew through the halls. Her worry that had caused her to finish her passport update early was beginning to fade.

"What did you just say, asshole?" Lum recognized her boyfriend's voice instantly as she flew up the stairs and flew faster towards where that voice was heard. It was near room 2-1.

Just in the nick of time, her Darling was ready to beat up verbally and even physically a group of 2-1 classmates. If Lum could see auras, she was sure she would have seen a black and purple one around her Darling considering the tense atmosphere.

Shinobu and Mendou probably were talking to the teacher far away, because she couldn't see them anywhere.

"Cal-Calm down!!! We just said to let us have a meeting alone with your classmate Lum!" one of the boys said in a trembling voice.

"What for? You think she'd notice trash like you guys? Who can't even score more than 50 points on the basic English test?" Ataru had a cruel smile, he had heard of this group of idiots from his homeroom president, they were guys who were only interested in seeing skirts and even spying on girls they were interested in until they changed their target.

"And what's wrong with that?! We also have the right to socialize with our classmates, we try to do it the good way but if you don't give us permission we can do whatever we want outside the school premises-"

Ataru grabbed the guy by the collar of his shirt, trying to keep his fury in check. He knew better than anyone that Lum would electrify them hard if they tried anything, she knew how to handle herself.

But he was sleepless enough thanks to the recent days where he only slept three hours maximum and was tired from the work he was doing, that it wasn’t hard for his brain to forget that important detail at the moment.

Lum noticed that the situation was going to get really ugly if she didn't intervene, so she went and instinctively hugged Ataru, stopping any movement.

"Darling! I'm back!" Lum said smiling, trying to distract him.

"Wait for me, I need to make this guy learn in not disrespecting authority" His voice was dangerous, almost a growl that matched his terrifying expression and for the first time Lum was troubled at the thought that she couldn't stop him. She couldn't electrocute him because she was still holding the other boy and that could make them three get into trouble!

What else could she do if a hug didn't stop him?

Other than that what could-

Lum paused for a second, on second thought she didn't expect she would have to do it this way but if it would distract him....

"So, you want me to show you the hard way who I am?" his tone was cold, that made those who moments before dared to face him shiver.

"Darling!" Lum shouted.

"Lum I already told you not to bother me-" Ataru turned around, ready to scold her for her intervention until he felt something sweet and soft on his lips that stopped his words. Lum put her arms gently around his neck, pulling him closer to her and he let go of the guy he grabbed by the neck, forgetting him completely. His two hands, now free, instinctively wrapped around Lum's waist, embracing her as he relaxed completely, melting into her embrace at the soft sensation of his lips meeting hers.

He didn't care that they were in the school hallway at that moment, he now only cared that she was with him and that was strong enough to send it all flying away from his mind, just for today.

Ataru was perfectly calm, since he acted before in Megane’s crazy stories however he was not used to take the role of the handsome prince. That role was perfect for Mendou and to his pride.

He wasn’t prince material.

This change of mind was thanks to Shinobu, who was the writter and director this time, he was ready to protest  when his friends congratulated him. Inuyasha was weirded out by his prince outfit  which was funny, Ranma came with some tips to help the nerves, Rinne admired his history in acting and Mao, being  almost as lost as Inuyasha still wished him luck.

Sometimes  he through he didn’t deserve his friends, they were too good to him.

Before the play began they came to make him feel more at ease and calm.

But he still was in deep throught and it was backed up, because Lum was being pretty secretive about her outfit with the girls , heck he knew the outfits they were gonna use. After all the movie “The Swan princess” was the perfect reference for the sewing club, it even helped for the final script, so why was the need for them to not act with their costumes in the essays?

Well now he knew why.

Lum walked towards him wearing the princess dress, he felt warm and he could hear the girls giggles as they walked with Lum towards them  and even his friends were snorting behind his back.

Traitors

“Good luck, prince Derek” Lum said with a smile and Ataru knew that she wasn’t playing fair.

“Same to you, princess Odette” Ataru grinned, managing to gain some composture after that low hit.

The princess and prince saw each other in the ballroom,  both of them couldn’t help getting awestruck after seeing each other, after all they hadn’t seen each other for years but still keep conntact thanks to letters.

“Oh my god Lum looks  so beautiful, I am gonna cry!!!”  Kagome said as she held her camera.

She could hear the male audience behind her sigh in devotion.

“Don’t cry for something so small Kagome, the threaty thingy just began!” Inuyasha protested.

“Theater, Inuyasha! and shhhhhhhh!” Kagome hushed him and Inuyasha just sighed.

“You’re right Kagome, Shinobu is such a genius for basing the outfits on that movie!” Akane smiled, getting a bit nostalgic.

“Yeah  and look!” Ranma said  as Prince Derek  appeared on the scene, gaining surprised gasps from the audience” Ataru really looks and acts like a prince. Can you believe the idiot through he couldn’t pull it off? Like of course he can’t pull it off like me when I was Romeo but he is super close to that level!”

“Well  at least Ataru knows his lines and the story” Akane said a bit irritated remembering that day” not like you that made it end like if it was the sleeping beauty!“

“C’mon ‘Kane, you know I tried my best!”

“Hmph!”

“Are you sure about this Odette?” The prince Derek said, holding Odette’s hand” we know each other since we were small children and I do care for you but getting married is a bit...”

Sakura held Rinne’s hand more tightly as she took a breath, looking  so concentrated in the play.

Rinne blushed but continued to see the play with a smile on his face.

“You don’t want to?” Princess Odette looked confused and hurt in the prince embrace” I know that this was made  for a politic arrengment for our Kingdoms but I do love you Derek.

The prince looked at her with a surprised expression.

“Do you love me Derek?” Odette asked unsure.

“I....I....I don’t know” Derek said with a defeated sigh.

“You idiot! you can’t say that in this moment!“Nanoka said, holding a handkerchief  on her hands.

“Nanoka, calm down” Mao said in a relaxing voice.

“But!”

“I see..”the princess looked down” I am sorry for bothering you, I will try to convince my father to call the arrengment off”

“What?!” Derek became frenetic, he began to search for her eyes” Odette  you are not being serious right now?!”

“I am”  She finally stared at him  and her eyes were full with tears “ If I wanted  a marriage without love I could easily accept the marriage proposes back at my Kingdom”

“Damn, Ataru looks really jealous after he heard that line”Inuyasha grinned.

“Inuyasha, is prince Derek that is jealous, remember that this is just a play but...”Kagome smiled, knowing what her partner through” He’s a really good actor, it really looks natural”

“Odette, what do you mean by that?!” Derek was feeling  an emotion he never felt before because it was a mix of confussion, anger and sadness, all at the same time.

“What you heard!” Odette said feeling exposed as she cried” I....I wanted to marry you because I fell in love with you but maybe it was an error, I was only thinking about myself, please excuse me”

And with that the princess ran far away from the prince, who was left bewildered and didn’t talk to him until the party was over, when it was time to say goodbye.

Odette was sad and Derek felt  devasted when he noticed that he was the scum of earth, because he just made his bestfriend cry.

It didn’t help him when her carriage dissapeared after that, her father appeared dead days after and only Odette’s necklace was left in his hand.

Akane was crying and Ranma’s arm was already behind her back, making her come closer to him as she sobbed quietly.

Odette woke up in a abandoned castle and she cried for help, she was confused and unsure of why she was there.

Hours passed until the mage who captured her appeared and told her she was his bride to be and they could rule the kingdom his father left together, but she refused  his advances and the man full with anger cursed her.

“You want to escape? to fly far? then you will have that as a swan” The mage showed a wicked grin” only in this lake and at night, will you go back to your true form”

“That bastard!” Nanoka  hissed.

“Nanoka” Mao began with a serious tone.

“He is one, Mao!” Nanoka said as she pointed the actor who acted as the Mage.

Still the princess wanted to go back to her true love, so she waited days until the mage finally let her out of her prision at the castle and let  her swim at the lake.

As a swan she flew towards the forest where Derek used to practice his hunting and prayed  for the best.

Her efforts payed off  when he followed her, holding his bow, ready to shot the swan.

Sakura held her breath as Rinne did.

But he didn’t shot, he looked how the swan touched the lake, magic and shining water was covering the swan body and in a blink of an eye the swan dissapeared  and before him was Princess Odette wearing the beautiful dress he last saw her with.

And he ran towards her, huggin her close, he began to tell her how he searched for her and how he still did, how desperate he was to find her and how much he missed her.

Mao noticed tears in Nanoka’s eyes and silently held her hand.

“I am so sorry Derek!” Odette said, crying” It was all my fault, if I wasn’t so emotional, I should have acted as an adult!”

“No, No, No” Derek said as he kissed her tears away” You were not wrong, is okay to express yourself, sure it wasn’t the best way but we are not perfect, heck, I also acted like an idiot”

The female audience romatically sighed.

“No!” Odette protested” I pressured you! when you weren’t sure about your feelings and I acted as a coward”

“Well yeah  but I was an idiot, I didn’t notice how much I loved you until you were gone” Derek said in a low but passionate voice.

The audience gasped, there were some weird female noises.

“Derek..I...”

“Odette! Where are you?!” The raspy voice of the Mage could be heard and the princess turned pale, the prince noticing her change in acting and asked her what was wrong and about who was the owner of that voice.

“He is a powerful mage, he captured me  and cursed me because I told him I didn’t want to be his bride!”

“Well then, is time for me to fight him and put off  this stupid curse you have!” Derek said as he took his bow out before Odette interrupted him.

“Did you not hear me?!” She said worried”  He is a MAGE, he can cast any spell on you!”

“But-”

“Please escape! We...will see each other the next night!”

“Alright, alright!  I will go but” Derek said holding her beloved hand” I will search for a cure for this damn curse and I want you to invastigate too”

“ I will try but first please go!”

“Kagome....”

“Yes?”

“What is a mage?” Inuyasha asked genuily interested.

“Is a person that can curse and throw spells like fire, darkness, water and other stuff”

“Like Tsubaki?”

“Kinda”

“Shit, he is scary then”

“Eh? you were scared of Tsubaki, Inuyasha?”

“Of course, she was making you suffer and I couldn’t kick her ass!” He said crossing his arms.

Kagome just gave him a lovely smile and leaned on one of Inuyasha’s shoulders.

The prince and the princess searched and in their own ways figured out that the best way to break the curse is with an ‘Act of True Love’, both of them blushed as they tried to understand what that actually meant.

“Maybe is me marrying you, if we do that I need to present you to my mother again, so we can go with the engagement”

“But when? her Majesty must be busy”

“Well, there will be a ball at night tomorrow, you can go there and I will present you as my fiance”

“Oh....”She blushed” I see....”

“I am so thankful that Kagome is recording this because they are so into it!”  Akane said smiling.

“Yeah, we wil have proof to black mail with Ataru later” Ranma grinned.

“Ranma!”

Althrough not everything was going to turn better, the Mage discovered Odette’s plan and locked her up.

“I hate the mage so much, I wanna hit him” Nanoka whispered angrily

“Nanoka..” Mao began.

He then sent off his loyal assistant,  making her look like  Odette, telling her that the plan was simple, making Derek think she was her so he could propose to her  and not Odette, breaking any chances to break the curse.

The fake Odette arrived at the ball and a smiling prince Derek went with her, they danced and as soon as their second dance was over, he went with her, hand in hand with her mom.

“THAT’S NOT HER YOU IDIOT! GO BACK GO BA-!” the four girls stood up,  they were all so into the story and before they could say more the got stopped by their respective significant others.

Odette managed to escape but when she finally arrived in her swan form  to the palace, she saw how Derek announced his marriage with a girl that looked like her and her heart broke, making her make errors while flying making her crash at the doors of the palace. The hit made people uneasy and the prince ordered to open the doors, what was his surprise to see a swan he knew so well fly away, he looked for the Odette he danced with and she was gone.

It was a trap.

The prince was furious after knowing that he was tricked by the Mage and went towards the abandoned castle with his horse, ready to make him suffer.

The forest was eerie but he didn’t care and went inside, he arrived by the lake and saw the beautiful swan breathing slowly on the floor, he held her in his arms and the swan slowly transformed into Odette.

She was in a really bad state and he needed to take her fast to the castle.

There was a laugh and the prince placed Odette slowly to the ground in a safer place, then Derek took his sword out.

“HELL YEAH” Inuyasha shouted.

“How dare you abduct her? how dare you curse her!” Derek was getting angrier as he spitted those words” HOW DARE YOU HURT HER?!”

“She didn’t accept me, so  I will obligue her to never accept anyone” The mage gave a malicious smile.

“YOU TRASH!”

“You know that a battle against me is instant death right?” The mage laughed ” Even if you kill me, a thing I doubt you will do, there are no chances of your surviving”

“I don’t care” The prince said with a serious tone” If I can save her life and give her the opportunity to life a happy life even if it isn’t with me, that will be enough for me”

Then the battle began between them, the prince was clearly at disvantage but he managed to evade the attacks of the Mage.

“This is getting good” Ranma said at the verge of his seat.

The prince threw the mage everything he could find in his way.

Rinne gulped.

When the mage was ready to kill him behind his back, the prince stabbed his stomach with the sword.

Mao eyes opened in surprise.

And the Mage body fell to the ground, a pool full with blood began to form in his place.

“Derek..”  A weak voice called him and he quickly went towards his beloved, she was gaining conciousness and he was so happy he was sure he almost cried.

The sun began to rise and she was still in her human form, the curse was finally broken.

“Oh my god girls here comes the final, get your handkerchiefs ready” Kagome said already feeling the tears coming out.

“Derek” The princess Odette was in the balcony of prince Derek’s room, looking at the sunset.

“Yes Odette?” He said with a handsome smile.

The female audience gasped and sighed as they swoon.

“I never thanked you for saving me” She smiled shyly.

“Well, that’s because you don’t need to” He responded with a tender smile as he slowly put his arms around her waist.

“I will still say it and....I really still love you” She said dreamily.

The male audience sighed.

“And I also love you, a lot” Derek said before closing his eyes slowly, Odette followed and was slowly gaining height as she was getting on her tip toes, making their lips getting closer...

Until they connected with each other, creating one of the softest and most beautiful kiss that would put any love kiss to shame.

The entire theatre cheered after that.

And the two actors playing the prince and the princess were still kissing each other even when the curtains fell down.

Her Darling was going to be okay, he just hit his head really hard in one of the Mendous Adventures,  he was going to be ok,  since he was like a human cockroach.

So why has he been out for two days?! 

She was in Mendous house, resting on a bed beside her Darling, in one of the rooms of that gigantic mansion, taking care of him with a worried expression.

“Please darling, open your eyes!” She pleaded, holding his hand for the 100th time.

There was a bit of moving this time in the hand she held and with hoping eyes, she gazed at him, he was opening slowly his eyes and Lum felt like crying.

“Ahh......my head,” He said slowly as he incorporated himself, holding his head with his free hand.

“Darling!” She said with happiness and tears in her eyes, he looked at her and she hugged him hard.

“Wha...?”

“Darling, I was so  worried, you been out for days and I was thinking the worse and .....and!”

He didn’t say anything.

And  Lum couldn’t hold back her feelings,   she broke the hug fast, looked at his confused face and kissed him, she was relieved as she kissed him slowly, he responded the kiss a few moments later, his arms were around her holding her with protectiveness and care.

She then carefully separated from him but to her surprise, her Darling still had her against his embrace, and for the first time she blushed a bit.

“I am sorry I shouldn’t have kissed you so unexpectedly, I...”  It was her imagination or her Darling looked at her differently? it was with such an intensity that she couldn’t help feeling a bit embarrassed by it!

“You’re my girlfriend, right?” He said breathlessly.

“Well of course and we also are married! “She said a bit irritated, what was he asking that? AS  if He didn’t know-!

“WOW!!” He hugged her closer and with strength, smiling like a child” I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GIRLFRIEND, NO  WAIT,  A BEAUTIFUL WIFE?!”

“Da..Darling?”She said blushing madly and feeling a bit overwhelmed by his reaction.

“Man,  I thought I was the unluckiest man alive!”

“Darling, are you really okay?”

“’Darling’,  Oh my god, that sounds so good! You are so cute!”

“Eh?!” Lum blushed a lot, there was so much going on, and what even was happening right now?!.

“Can you tell me your name, please? I deserve to know the name of my beautiful wife!”

“Darling,” she said unsure  and with a tone of sadness  after realizing  the predicament they had now, but asked anyway when her Darling gazed at her, waiting for her to talk” Did you really forget about me?” 

“I think so” He said, scratching his head awkwardly” sadly I don’t remember seeing a pretty face like you before”

She looked down with sadness attacking her heart and he didn't like it seeing her like that, so he held her chin with his hand, making her look at him and he smiled tenderly.

“However, Can you help me remember you, Lum?”

And the weeks went by, Ataru was happier than they ever saw him, he boasted about how beautiful and amazing his girlfriend/wife was, making Lum a bit shy about how much he showed her affection towards her and that reaction made Ataru fall in love more with her.

Still, Lum couldn't help feeling guilty, even though her Darling was making her dreams come true, she missed her old Darling,  the one that she fell in love with.

“Lum, are you alright?” Ataru asked, they were now on one of their dates at the park, sitting on a bench.

“I am just thinking, Darling,” She said with a nostalgic expression” these days had been wonderful but I can’t stop thinking about  how  you acted before”

“Oh? you mean the lame version of me?”

“Darling! you were not lame!” She said defending his old  self” I don’t know how Mendo  and  the others keep telling you that!”

“You think so? Do you really loved the me of that time so much?” He said with his eyes on her searching for answers.

“Of course I did!” Lum said  feeling offended” I loved your flaws,  I loved how you  tried  to go out from you hunting girl routine, I loved how proud you were in some cases, I loved how you didn’t back down in your ideals, even if it wasn’t  with things of my liking”

“Even  if I hurt you back then Lum?” He said with a serious look” Even with all my errors?”

Lum noticed the sadness in his eyes,  the ones she remembered seeing in her  Darling before.

She held his hand and his gaze looked hurt as if he remembered his past actions.

“I did, I am and will always love you” She said  with an honesty that burned Ataru’s heart” No matter how much  you change, I know the  Ataru I fell in love  is still  with you, even if I can’t see it, you’re still the unlucky boy  I fell in love with”

“Well, fuck this plan” Ataru said in a tone she remembered so much and before she could ask, he surprised her when he kissed her with passion and tenderness, she responded the kiss with the same energy and separated slowly after moments passed.

“Darling?” she said breathless  and Ataru couldn’t take it anymore, he  hugged her close to his body,

“You really are an idiot, how can you love me when I am like that?” His tone  was different  and  she gasped” I through I could go on with the plan  of pretending  I was still Amnestesiac  but here you come  and make me blown my own cover”

“You got your memories back?!” She said  surprised” When?!”

“The second week, ten accidentally hit me with his spaceship when he arrived from  your family reunion, I was ready  to scold  him  when he apologized  so many times and was taken back with it, so I went  with it  and told him  that it wasn’t a big deal and he said  that  he liked  me  like this  much more” he said  before taking  more air and continued“ Of course  I was confused  after that and  as I investigated more, I got the idea  that I was pretty different when I was Amnestesiac and people  actually liked  me that way, heck  even you were acting a lot cuter when I acted  more open about what I through”

“It’s because I wasn’t used to it”

“And that’s  my fault, and I am sorry” Ataru said feeling bad” So I wanted to keep pretending  that I still didn't remember anything, it was easier for me this way, to pretend  I wasn’t  as the immature guy I was back then, these weeks helped me  open my eyes about how special  are you to me Lum”

Lum didn’t know what to say, she could feel tears running down her cheeks and Ataru separated from her slowly, kissing her tears away.

“You’re my real Darling then?” She said between tears” You really are the one who-”

“Caught you two times by the horns and called you idiot the second time” He gave her his smirk, the one that she found so attractive.

“Darling!” She hugged him tenderly, hiding her face on his chest.

“This is  what I say  when I tell you that you’re  way cuter than usual!” He said smiling” If I did know  how cute You’re going to act when I told  you the truth  I would have told  you sooner!”

He hugged her  closer.

“I am sorry Lum, I promise you I will never  lie like this  ever  again, because I don’t like to see you cry, I will try my best to not  make  suffer anymore!”He smiled, feeling his heart free.

“Thank you Darling, for telling me about this, I feel so much better”

“No, I should thank you, for  loving a person like me”

She gave him a quick peck, reassuring him  that her feelings hadn’t changed.

“This  will be a problem,  it will be difficult  to tell the others  about this”

“We will not tell them about  me gaining my memory”

“What, why?!”

“Where is the fun in that? after all, is way calmer this way, is not  that chaotic, our lives at least”

“Even  if you’re different  than before?”

“Lum I was never different, I only was more open about how  I actually feel and I had to thank the hit for that, still I wish  to know what exactly I did before regaining  my memories, the ones  I did to make you act all adorable”  

“It was initially my fault, I kissed you when  you woke up” She said feeling embarrassed  by her actions” and  after telling you that we were boyfriend  and girlfriend   and then telling you that we were technically married, you're so happy and  began to tell me  a lot of beautiful things  and, I felt so happy and I am babmbling”

“Wait, you kissed me?” Ataru said, of all the things she said, that one clearly caught his attention” are you telling me my amnesiac  self  fell in love with you with just one kiss?! ”

“Fell in love? Darling I think you’re overreacting, you couldn’t be-!”

“Lum  I had heard in Mendo’s, in Shinobu's  and Ryunossuke’s, heck even from Ran’s  words  how crazy in love I was for you!”

“You...you were?”

“Yes  and now  that I know the reason behind  it” He said  with a different  tone, his  eyes looking flirty” I wanna know what type of kiss was that”

“You want to...”

“Repeat it so I can  remember it?” He said  with a smirk” Of course”

She wanted to go back

She wanted to go back to her home

But she couldn’t do it.

Being the daughter of one of the strongest leaders of the galaxy came with a burden and she didn’t hate it, she was used to the visits, to marriage proposals that she gently turned down and the meetings she had to go with her father about new plans for the galaxy.

That is one of the reasons she managed to meet the love of her life, her Darling and she will be forever grateful for it.

She knew she has been lucky about her recent duties, there were almost non-existent since she came to earth and she was really happy about it.

However, reality crushed  her when she received a letter from The Galactic Alien Syndicate of the Solar system, G.A.S.S.S for short, was  addressed to her.

Miss Lum:

We require your support for one of the alliance activities with the Kartean race, the form of the meeting will be with-

She read through the letter fast.

It couldn’t be

She read it again.

Is a misunderstanding, right?

 And she read it one last time as her optimism vanished.

It was true

And it wasn’t from her father it was for the syndicate themselves, she would hurt their alliance with many different races if she turned down their order.

 After telling her Dad and Mom about the letter, their reaction was no different than hers.

They knew what that planet was known for and they hated to see their daughter go to that place alone, but the syndicate was smart and they all knew why they sent her there.

That planet was very prominent in the galactic military, a good alliance indeed.

But their gender equality was way back to the old era, male species saw the women as a pretty prize and the female population had only one mission dictated by their own society; to look pretty and to produce strong and capable children.

They didn’t have a voice or permission to fight and defend themselves.

And She hated it.

Lum has known since she was a small child that women are powerful in their way, Benten, Oyuki and her female friends back at Tomobiki showed their strength and unbreakable will.

She was also a great force to be feared, her electric shot was known for being quite painful, they can be even lethal but she never used their true potential, she never made them lethal.

Her power now was sealed, her diamond bracelets made her power vanish when she uses them and she hated feeling so powerless, she didn’t have the opportunity to defend herself, she was ordered that she shouldn’t even try to defend herself.

She hoped that there wasn’t a need to worry about that,  she hoped to feel safe and secure on this planet, a feeling that never came.

The anxiety only grew when she met the leader of the military when she arrived, he was quite tall and was probably a handsome guy in any girls eyes, he had light purple skin and black hair, he wore a military uniform.

And he looked at her, scanning her body and she didn’t like that.

He acted like a gentleman but she knew better, his actions were so forceful, as he was trying really hard to gain something for her, maybe it was her imagination but she still was on guard, she just masked it with the polite attitude of the daughter of a leader, she turned gently his advances.

They reunited for two days at dinner, forcing the alliances in a polite manner.

She was almost free of this, there was only one day left, so she can properly excuse herself.

It was the day he held a party and when she received the package with her dress in it for the occasion, given to her from the syndicate she almost squeaked when she saw how beautiful it was.

Her happiness what short-lived when she read the note that came with it.

One paragraph,it was all it took.

“Please consent  everything he wants from you, the alliance is  needed, we believe in your professionalism”

She wanted to cry now.

She walked to the party, ready to meet that person again, her Aquamarine hair was down and wavy, her Trumpet dress was a dark blue with diamond Tigger stripes, it was beautiful and she hated using it in this occasion.  

How was her Darling doing? He was visiting her grandma’s grave when she received the letter.

there was no time to say good-bye.

She wished he was with her, she needed him.

“Miss Lum” The young leader said with a Galant's voice.

“Yes?” She said with a polite smile as she dismissed her thoughts, this was not the time for them.

“You look beautiful in this night” He smiled.

“Thanks, you look good too” She answered as she noticed his silver tuxedo.

They talked for a while and he tried to make her drink one of the alcoholic drinks, she politely declined and he was being really insisting about it, it was weird.

Then a song was heard and the man smiled and held her hand, she suppressed the instinct of letting go of his hand.

“Miss Lum, would you have this dance with me?”

No, I don’t want to dance with you

“Sure”

He guided her to the dancing floor and brought her really close to his body, way too close for her comfort.

“You’re beautiful” He whispered in her ear.

she had goosebumps but he through she was trembling of desire like he was for her.

“ We already talked about this, I have a fiance” Lum said as she tried to calm her nerves.  it was a half-truth since her Darling and she were married in human papers, however, they just recently got officially together, they were on the first stages of a formal relationship.

“Yeah, with a human” He said with horse voice  as he spun her around” a sad and quite incompetent decision if you ask me”

“He’s an interesting young man and is quite capable” She defended her Darling with a polite tone, the reality is that she just wanted to zap this man.

“And let me guess, you love him”

“Yes”

He held her close again against his.

“Lum, your body is way too perfect  for him”

She froze.

“I know you Lum, you deserve a man who can give your body what it needs,  a firm and strong  body” He whispered” I can make you exhausted at night, I can make your body tremble, I can make your body mine”

She didn’t like this, She didn’t like this, she didn’t like this.

“Please let me-”

“Lum, stay here with me” he said as he groped her bottom without her consent” I will give you money, a position and you can produce my heir, we will be unstoppable”  

Lum was terrified, he was touching her and she wanted to hit him, she was shaking in anger.

“Look how your body  is trembling  against mine?” He whispered, voice full-on desire” You need me”

She wanted to cry, she didn’t want this, only one man was allowed to touch her in an intimate way and that was her Darling.

Screw the syndicate! Why was she the victim in all this? it wasn’t fair! She wanted to go and to never see this man again, she wanted to-

“I am sorry for interrupting your dance but I did like to have one with my fiance, Sir“A man voice said, the one that she was wanting to hear for days.

The man let her go and she didn't know how she managed to only walk towards her Darling when she just wanted to  run towards him and hug him.

Her auto control was probably back.

“I am sorry I took so long” Ataru smiled  to her, he had  a black tuxedo with a black blue tie that had Tigger diamond stripes, it matched with her dress,

“I am glad you came, Darling” She said with a true smile.

“Miss Lum, are you going to present me this gentleman?”The man said with a subtle tone.

“Moroboshi Ataru” Ataru said with a formal tone as he  put a hand around Lum’s waist in a protective manner” The honor is yours, I believe”

Lum and the other man looked at him with shock.

“After all, I am the first human to arrive  at this planet or I am incorrect?” He smiled and Lum felt his authoritarian aura, it was rare for her Darling to act this menacing while putting a polite act.

“Oh? You have studied” The other man expressions were still neutral” You’re not  that ignorant, I suppose”

“Thanks”

“So how much does she costs?” He said with a firm tone.

“Come again?”Ataru said with a calm tone.

“Lum, how much does she costs?” He said with a smirk” She’s a virgin so she should be quite expensive, I am right?”

Ataru held her closer to him and he smiled to the man.

“What makes you think she’s a virgin?” Ataru didn’t break his character, he was firm and calm as a cucumber” She’s my fiance after all”

“She doesn’t smell like-”

“Do you know how we humans smell?” Ataru said sharply.

The man's expression showed disbelieve and Ataru showed a triumphant smile.

“You’re right, my apologies, however, a strong male  can erase  the smell of it, she still will cost less, but I am a good host and I can give you a great deal”

“She’s my fiance and she is not on sale, I hope you can understand Sir”

“Why? Did she bewitched you like she did with me  with her body?”

“Our relationship is way deeper than external looks Sir, I know  you can understand it, you’re known for being an intelligent leader”

“I see that you know me well, but I will not let Miss Lum leave with you, her place is here and I am quite known to accomplish what I want”

Lum panicked.

Ataru didn’t.

“Sir, Lum is important to me and her planet “

“Nothing I can’t eliminate”

“Oh?”Ataru said” You’re quite confident, tell me more so I can tell it with grand detail to our allies”

“The syndicate is in no place to-”

“Who said something about the syndicate?” Ataru gave the man a smirk” We are talking about  Miss Oyuki’s and Miss Benten’s Planet”

“They couldn’t...”

“Want to place a bet? we also have connections with the planet of total darkness, they are quite known for their mushroom, they can expand  and multiplicate in seconds and they can incapacitate a whole planet”

“We know about them”

“Do you know how they look like, Sir?”

The man keep quiet.

“Do you want  to cause a war just because of a woman?”

“Yes, are you incoherent enough to make me follow that plan?” Ataru’s expression was neutral.

“No” The man said” Miss Lum, you had an intelligent fiance I will give you that and Mister Ataru, it was interesting meeting you”

He said before excusing himself.

Lum could finally breathe.

“Da-”

“Will you give me this dance, Lum?” Ataru said as he moved his hand from her waist and took her hand with it.

“Please do”

They danced and lum felt a lift out off her shoulders as he held her closer to him and she felt secure and protected for the first time in days.

“Darling, he...he..”She wanted to cry, how can she face him now? another man touched her, she was...

“Lum, don’t cry” Ataru said softly in her ear and she felt warmer” We have a role to play and we will be professional about it until we reach your room, there you can tell me everything”

“Darling...”

“But  I managed to see moments ago how he touched you without your consent and I am sure now that he will definitely have really bad luck tomorrow” His tone was serious and dangerous.

“Darling you can’t-”

“Lum leave it to me, I know ways  of doing things without getting me blamed”

She looked at him and he gave her a warm smile.

“So let’s  change the subject for now” Ataru said with a soft blush “You look stunning Lum, this dress fits you really well”

“Thank you” She blushed as she looked to another way, embarrassed.

“Oh my god, don’t do that” He hugged her, his chest was against hers and she could hear his heartbeat.

“What did I do?”.

“You  acted extremely adorable just a second ago and is not fair for my heart” He said with honesty” It makes me  want to kiss you right now”

“Do it” She said.

He gazed at her and nodded, now with her approval, he went for it, his lips touched her’s softly, it was a sweet and deep kiss, he touched her as she was the most precious thing she was to him, the kiss became soft and tender.

She knew that everything was going to be ok now.

Overwhelming

It was only a kiss

But why does it hurt so much?

She was perfectly okay today, her Darling has let down his guard enough for her to hold his hand in public, it was all going great.

She just went for ice cream, feeling happy because this made her think they were on a date.

“That guy looks amazing today!” A girl with brown hair said besides her.

“I can’t believe he’s on a date this time, he was craving for my attention a month ago!” The girl with blue hair said, probably her friend.

They were talking about someone else, there was no way…

“No way! prove to me that he was interested in you!”

“Alright, is a bet!”

She just finished from paying the ice creams and turned around, that girl was running towards him.

She kissed him.

Lum froze.

The scene made her heartfelt stabbed by reality.

Tears were running down her face

She let go of the ice creams as she flew in the opposite direction.

“LUM!” His voice sounded so far.

For the first time, she felt like a coward

but today she wanted to escape

She cursed herself, she hated the days where she could feel more emotional than usual, the ones that made a little thing look like a massive rock.

He never let me kiss him before

Stop, the other girl stole a kiss from him, it wasn’t his fault.

He always dismisses  my affections

Stop, he was caught off guard.

Does he even love me?

She knows that he loves her, she knows his character so well,  She knew that it was an accident, she knew it! so why does still hurt?

She looked around his room, flying here was like an instinct now, it was her home.

“I need to calm down, I am not thinking like myself right now” She said to herself, yeah it was for the better to go back to her UFO, to calm herself.

Why does the emotional phase had to happen today?

She blamed her alien cycle for her emotions, why didn’t she had it like the human girls, why didn’t she had it in those days? 

“Lum!”

Ataru was doing his best on being more open about his feelings for Lum, after his denial for years he finally decided to be with her, he’s scared of being happy, he’s not used to the happiness to last long.

But she loves him and he loves her.

He needed to stop being so unsure, so little by little he became to show how much he really cares about her, he needed to stop evading the truth.

He stopped taking seriously the girl hunting a year ago, and he still pretended to go on ones because it was the routine, they always rejected him anyway.

She became precious to him, to the point he was scared, the moment he admitted that he was in love with her was  overwhelming, he wanted to do so many things with her; he wanted to make her smile, he wanted to make her happy, he wanted to kiss her, he wanted to take her out on a date.

It was so much, the things he wanted to do crushed him like an avalanche.

But he needed to begin slow, he needed to.

 So he took her out and they were having a good time.

Until a girl kissed him

And he was so shocked that he didn’t have time to react.

He only reacted when he saw tears.  

Lum was crying.

He separated himself from the other girl, ignoring her completely.

“You sure had changed A-”

“LUM!” He screamed at the oni girl, who looked heartbroken, she then flew away and he followed her.

Why is she crying? Why didn’t she just Zap me?

“LUM!”

“Why didn’t you zap me?”

“Eh?”

“Why are you crying?”Ataru said” I didn’t kiss her back!”

“Darling, do you love me?”  Her voice sounded faint

“Lum, we been over this!”

“Why did you left your guard off with her?” Lum said” when with me you turn away by reflex”

“It was unexpected Lum” Ataru didn’t like the tone of her voice.

“Yeah, like our ‘relationship'” Lum could feel the words slipping off her mouth, she knew it was wrong, she knew what she says wasn’t true, but she couldn’t stop,  it flowed like water” If  I can call it like one”’

“Lum?”

“Ataru, why are you fooling me like this?” Tears began to form in her eyes again, saying his name like that felt wrong in her mouth but the words were already out from her tongue, it was too late to stop it now” why do I  even keep up with this when I am not even sure if you love me”

Ataru was petrified.

“I thought so, I will go to my UFO now, you can call that girl if you want, I am tired”

She began to float a bit, she needed to go before hurting him more, she needed to flee, she didn’t want him to be the victim of her state, she needed to calm the fast beatings of her heart that clouded her mind.

And then she felt his hand in her wrist, he brought her in a fast movent to his arms, hugging her tightly.

“Da-”

“Why are you saying those things?! ” Ataru said” You know me better than anyone Lum! ”

“HOW CAN I BE SURE WHEN YOU DON’T TELL ME HOW YOU FEEL?!”

He only hugged her more.

“The girl hunting still exists, you never let me kiss you,  you must hat-”

He separated from her a little and kissed her, his hands went over her back. he never was good with words, so he kissed her senseless, the love he feels for her, he leaves all those intense feelings that she made him feel in that kiss, he brings her closer to him as an instinct, her body was now crushing against his.

He knew he was coming strong but this wasn’t his pervert side acting, it was his honest side taking over him, the time he kept him hidden only made it overwhelming and intense when he finally was able to accept it; he wanted her, only her, to be with him forever.

She responded with the same desire, it was hot and he realized he was beginning to want more, he put a hand on her beautiful hair, making her lips closer to his one’s, he could now taste the salt of her tears.

Was she always full of insecurities?  was that his fault?

They separated after a while,  needing air.

“This is the reason I hadn’t kissed you” Ataru said with his voice hoarse,  still feeling hot.

Lum looked back at him, cheeks all red, looking gorgeous enough to make Ataru almost gave in to his desire to kiss her again.

“I barely can control myself when I am with you Lum, you’re the world to me” Ataru held her hands” It’s just that being so stubborn and in denial for so long affected me,  I barely can control my hands now when I am with you, I want to touch you, to kiss you senseless”

“Then why-”

“So Nao...” Ataru began.

“Is Mao”

“It was close” Ataru smiled” What kinda tragic backstory do you have?”

“Come again?”

“Well, what are your origins  or what is the reason you’re like this right now?”

Mao just looked at the four boys puzzled, sure they were quite peculiar too but do they have to ask such a personal question this quickly? Also, the one with dog ears had an attire that remembered him of his old clothes.

He was confused.

“I think you should explain more your point” Rinne said looking at Mao’s confused expression.

“Oh right” Ataru said as he prepared himself and after a quick movement,  with his two hands pointed at Ranma and Rinne ” Are you in the Daddy issues  group?”

“HEY!” Ranma and Rinne shouted and Ataru ignored it.

“This group is about how their fathers  ruined in some parts their life” Ataru  said as he put himself between his two friends, both looked so tired  as if the topic was  exhausting for them” We will begin with trash Dad- I mean Rinne’s dad, he put his own son into a  debt that he will take years to pay  and stoles the money he works so hard off and to your surprise the Shinigami materials Rinne often uses in his exorcises are quite pricey for his standards, without  counting his Scythe  ”

“I am sorry you had to live like that” Mao said with sincerity.

“Don’t worry, I am used to it” Rinne smiled” Also with these three I don’t suffer that much anymore”

 “We help him in beating him up” Ataru smiled proudly” The second bad  dad  is from our favorite Martial artist, you see thanks to Ranma’s dad he got into a magic water that transforms him into a girl and also got him a ‘teacher’ that is an old gremlin and a big pervert, never let him  see your girl”

“Nanoka is not my girl-”

“I say what I say, now with the group B” Ataru separated from the two and went with Inuyasha,  he put an arm around his shoulder and continued”or you are like this guy, he lived by himself since he was a child, forced  himself to be a badass  thanks for the rude and dark world from the feudal era”

Mao blinked.

“Hey, why does Inuyasha’s backstory sounds so cool?” Ranma pouted.

“He’s my girlfriend brother, I have to make him look good sometimes”

“Favoritism!” Rinne said as he felt betrayed.

“Stop acting like kid-.” Inuyasha stopped as he processed what Ataru just said and blushed” I AM NOT LUM’S BROTHER YOU IDIOT!”

“But both of you act like siblings!” Ataru said acting a girly innocence.

“I am with Ataru on this one” Rinne said” everyone knows that”

“You!” Inuyasha hissed.

“Kagome and Ataru were the first ones to notice it tho” Ranma smirked” C’mon Inuyasha, even your Girlfriend thinks that is adorable, don’t fight the truth”

“I will kill all of you!” Inuyasha said as he chased them and the other three guys began to run with smiles on their faces.

The three of them ran as they dodged Inuyasha’s attacks.

And then there was a laugh.

They stopped and saw each other and then turned to the medical young man.

Mao was the one who was laughing.

That laugh made him look young, a thing they didn’t notice when they meet him, they noted that he was physically the same age as them but he acted more mature, like an adult, like a middle-aged man.

“All of you’re so funny” Mao said as he kept a smile  after laughing so much” I don’t think I am in any group sadly”

The other boys sat again, forgetting the teasing, and looked at him patiently.

“I do come from the feudal era, the same as...Inuyasha right?”

Inuyasha nodded.

“Wow, you’re a time traveler?”  Ranma asked with genuine interest.

“Something like that, it all began with a monster actually” Mao explained” He cursed me”

“Is it  still alive?” Inuyasha said holding his old sword” We can support you in fighting it off”

Mao blinked again, surprised.

“I have quite the experience with ghosts” Rinne continued.

“I have also fought a dragon with eight heads before” Ranma said cracking his knuckles.

“I don’t have the same fight qualities as these  three guys “ Ataru admitted” but I can manage myself with my mallet and we all have the same will  power, so we don’t give up easily”

“You’re all stubborn and don’t like to lose, aren’t you?”Mao simply said.

“Shh, it’s called will power” Ataru said.

Mao just smiled as he gave up and began to told them the story about the monster cat and saw with amusement how Ranma with a jump went to Rinne’s back and began to shiver but he still listened.

And for the first time after meeting Nanoka, he felt lighter and more at ease after the conversation.

He doesn’t know how long they had been here and he doesn’t want to move to check on that until she wakes up, he won’t let her alone, not again.

Thinking about that makes him feel angry

Noises at the door break his thoughts, that  tells him that they are trying to open her room again, to make her go under more studies, to hurt her and he will never allow it, he will not fail to her twice.

I will protect her, no matter what

He manages to force the door, his will is stronger than their new plans.

He doesn’t care if he has to keep doing this for much longer.

He stopped to take care of the time a while ago.

Sakura feels weak as she tries to wake up slowly, the nightmares in her dreams made her desperate to wake up and it took her all her will power to open her eyes a little.

A blurry vision caught the gray colors of the place she was, it didn’t look like her room, her room was more colorful.

“Sakura?” A voice she knew in her heart called her name and with her little energy, she looked for the owner of that voice.

There was Rinne beside her, looking a bit paler than her, he wore a blue simple shirt who had a tag with his last name with pants of the same color, his expression was of complete happiness and...

was he crying?

“Rin..ne?” Her voice sounded weird and her throat felt dry, what was going on?

“Sakura are you-” He was ready to hug her senseless until he stopped midway, refraining both of his hands.

Sakura was weak enough to not notice that.

“Where are we?”

“Shhh, is best for you to regain energy, you been asleep for so long, my Angel” his voice was full with emotion and she saw him more clearly, he looked transparent for a moment” We will need some food for you, to gain your strength”

It took her days to come up full on her senses, thanks to the food and good sleep she was a lot better.

Her mind was sharp enough to notice how Rinne evaded her touch, both of them had been on a relationship for a year and they like to hug and kiss like any other couple, they also love to hold hands.

But he didn’t do any of these actions.

And after knowing how much time they been in this facility, of how much were both experimented by people who thought they were strange specimens more than normal human beings sickened her, the ones that injected her some substance that put her in a coma for a long time, it was just so much.

She wanted to be held, she wanted to break down in his arms.

She should have noticed his pain

She should have noticed it with that red flag that appeared in her mind after her first coherent conversation with him when she began to feel better.

“Don’t say my name, Sakura”

“Why?”

“Just don’t, do it for me okay?”

It was the day when she felt emotionally weak when everything blew up

“WHY DO YOU EVADE ME?!”

“Sakura, I am here with you”

“NOT THAT!” She said, tears in her eyes, her emotions of despair clouding her common sense” DO YOU HATE ME THAT MUCH?!”

“What?!  NO!” Rinne panicked” I love you more than life itself!”

His comment was enough to make Sakura feel a little better, she wanted to follow her heart, she wanted to...

“Sakura?”

She didn’t think, she just wanted to feel him, to feel his beating heart along with hers, she opened her arms to him and went forward.

The sensation she wanted didn’t come,

 She went through him.

The surprise made her trip and fall to the ground.

“SAKURA?!”He knelt down next to her with panic in his voice.

“You’re dead?” her voice sounded so small.

Rinne went silent for a moment.

“Maybe?” Rinne said” I remember managing to get out of my body by my own will and when I was free I want straight to find you”

To protect you

“Why didn’t you tell me? That you were a ghost?”

“I didn’t want you to” Rinne explained” The first days were so hard to pretend  that I couldn’t float but you had so much on your head that I...”

“It backfired now”

“Yes, I am sorry”

“ Are you hearing me, subject Mamiya?” The cold voice that went out of the speakers in her room said and she just noded.

“So, can you tell me about your physic powers now?” The voice said with an interested tone” Paranormal and Co needs to know how did you keep yourself locked in this place for months  when you were clearly knocked down by us?”

Rinne clenched his fists, he was at her side.

As he always did

“I don’t know and if knew I could never tell it to the man who put my most important person on a comma” She hissed.

“Human relationship are a myth, I don’t know why you care about that thing, that has less human ADN than anyone in this facility ”

“He’s more human  than you will ever be”

It was the night,  the night  when they will procced with the plan.

Sakura turned to him, held her tears and put a hand in his cheek,  it felt like holding air, her head went on his chest, no beating heart, it was empty.

Her hand went through his chest and she saw again the pain in his expression, she began to cry again, putting her head on his transparent chest, wanting to let everything out before going with the plan.

Since after this, she will not cry or felt weak, she will be the brave girl she always was.

They will get out of there, they will recover her boyfriend’s body and get out of this freaking facility.

They will now what both of them can do.

A/N: So more about the mermaid hunters au because is the best au for now, to present Mao and Nanoka to the Rumic gang, beside the future sequel of the time that time forgot.

Nanoka though that the strange adventure was over, they even managed to come back together to her era.

Everything was supposed to be over, they maybe weren’t normal or the curse wasn’t broken but at least they were together and weren’t alone now, it was a good opportunity to show Mao her world.

And as much as she didn’t want to admit, she was beginning to feel more than a simple friendship for him but what did he think of her?

She needed time to think, she said to her grandfather  that she will go on  a summer trip with her friends, she  felt bad for lying to him but she wanted to have time for herself for a while, Mao decided to follow her because he didn’t know this new place and because the bond they had  was strong enough to keep them together even if his whole life mission was over, she wanted to think that it was a good sign for her feelings but decided to not get her hopes up, since Tenko told her that he was so used to his loneliness.

The day when they were supposed to leave something happened, after Nanoka went to visit her parents grave with Mao at her side, they heard something that didn’t sound like a human being and they caught the smell of blood and both tensed up, he took her hand and she followed him.

“I thought you said this era was safe?!” 

“It is!” She said feeling something  following them” Normally is only bad people who want to rob you but other than that....” 

They heard several grows and Nanoka heard far away the sound of a...car?

They got out of the cemetery and Mao was already taking his sword out, there were two creatures coming towards them, they were big and their appearance made Nanoka felt ill, really big yellow eyes and the body looked like a big piece of muscular meat that was rotten, it had hands and legs.

They attacked them and both dodged it, Mao went to a vital point but the creature didn’t give in, Nanoka tried to gain the other creature attention so it couldn’t attack Mao, her fast legs working perfectly.

It all happened in a wink, she felt a hand on her back and the other one on her legs.

“That was close” Mao said as he carried her.

“Wha-”

“There was another one  behind you, Nanoka” Mao said still holding her as he jumped with a serious expression “These things don’t go down easily”

“What can we do then?”

A sound of a door was heard, footsteps sounded closer and both of them saw human silhouettes.

“Man, this is gonna be rough,” A male voice said and various persons appeared.

It was then that a battle began.

“My name is Yuta and  the girl besides me is Mana” The young man of  light brown skin said” We’re sorry that you witnessed something so dangerous”

Mao and Nanoka kept silent, after the battle of last night when they united  strength  with these strangers  to eliminate the strange creatures, they both knew that these group of persons  were abnormal.

“Both of you   managed to keep yourselves good against the lost souls” Yuta said” Did you fought  against something like this before?”

“Well, we had fought monsters before” Mao said calmly 

“How old are both of you?” Yuta said with a serious tone.

“Well Mao is 18 and I am 17″ Nanoka can feel already Mao’s sight on her, but what did he expect her to say? that he is more than a hundred?!

“Both of you are kids” Mana said with a soft voice.

“Why, why do kids these days have so many special abilities, what has come of this era?” Yuta felt tired.

“Is because I am not from this e-”

“You see, we were both going on a summer trip together before all this happened!”  Nanoka said nervously trying to change the subject as she put a hand on Mao's mouth before he could say more.

The other group of persons arrived at the time they heard  Mao and Nanoka ages.

“Both of you should come with us!!!”The brown-haired boy said with excitement in his eyes.

“Ataru I swear to god-” Yuta began.

“I’m  with Ataru, they seem pretty capable of helping us!” A black-haired girl backed up the other guy.

“Kagome, not you too”

“We’re you going to someplace? you can stay with us  if you want!” an Aquamarine haired girl said with  stars on her eyes

“Lum, stop this is not  a game-”

“Both of you must be part of the most awesome Monsters and youkais  hunter group, the Mermaid Hunters!” A pigtailed boy proudly said.

“Ranma I NEVER. agreed to that lame name!”

“You can come with us if you don’t have anything more to do” a Girl with beautiful violet eyes suggested.

 “Sakura don’t invite them, we had already so many people-”

“I am in then, I am quite  curious  about why those creatures exist, they aura felt really strange” Mao simply said and he looked at Nanoka” And you?”

“Well, yeah I am kinda worried after knowing that creatures like this exist in my era” Nanoka looked at the group” Is it okay for us to take your invitation?”

They spent the night camping, Nanoka talked with the girls about her big adventure after  they told her  about theirs the following nights, same with the guys, except that Mao kept in secret his real age for  Nanoka.

As the days passed they began to feel comfortable in the group, Nanoka felt happy to finally being honest with his new friends without feeling guilty or worried that they will call her crazy.

And Mao felt relaxed around the guys, their respective supernatural origins and strange abilities were enough for him to lose it up a bit, it was good to know that he isn’t the only one unfortunate, they were like him and it didn’t feel bad.

Salty Tears.

A/N: So I wanted to write the first writing about this two with a different au but sometimes I need to express some negative feelings in some ways, hope you all still like it!

Laughing

They were people laughing

Again and again.

But now.

They were laughing at her.

She tried anything to fit in this world, the dresses, even the stupid hairstyles that made her head hurt, her Japanese was perfect and she barely had any real problems at, the only one was that she was a foreigner from another planet.

But that was enough for them.

When her husband wasn’t there, her circle of so-called friends mocked her in their meetings, calling her a strange otherworld creature.

She knew that rich people were mean but she hadn’t expected them to be this horrible.

She still sucked her pride and smiled, a thing the other women didn’t like.

They wanted her to broke in tears and ask for forgiveness about her heritage and to promise to never attend this meeting since she was a stranger in this world.

They spend the whole night making fun and making her feel horrible, but she was strong enough to keep the facade to anyone, even her husband.

The spell was cut when she was going to drink some juice, someone pushed her and she fell flat to the table where the drink was, breaking the table and the glass container that hold the juice, making her dress and hair stink like grape.

No one held a hand to her, no one helped her to get up, something inside of her broke and she excused herself,  she wanted to go home.

Ataru knew that his wife had a strong personality and will, so when he opened the door to his house, he didn’t expect to see her like that.

Wearing a dress who was tainted with purple liquid and her beautiful hair was down to, she looked at him, her broken gaze as tears roll down her face, she was in the center of the room, there was broken vases, the same ones her friends gave to her when she arrived here. 

“Lum wha-” 

“Darling please, don’t come closer, I am tainted by…” she broke in tears again and Ataru was already by her side, holding one of her hands, wanting an explanation.

“Lum, what happened and what do you mean by tainted?”

“I am sorry, I promise you I will be a good wife tomorrow, I promise I will face them tomorrow, but now I am just so tired, this happens every day and I-”

“What happens every day?” Ataru said carefully and he saw how Lum looked at him.

“Nothing!! Nothing happened” She tried to laugh it off but her smile was false and her eyes didn’t shine.

“Lum, you need to tell me what the hell happened right now!”

“WHY? WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT HOW I FEEL?!” Lum shouted, confusing tears rolling in her eyes” NO ONE EVEN CARED OF WHAT I FEEL, THEY SEE ME AS A STRANGER, NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY, I AM USELESS!”

Ataru had enough and he hugged her tightly, she protested and tried to let herself free but he didn’t budge, he even held her tighter, she smelled like grape and Ataru almost figured out what happened.

“STOP TAKING PITY ON ME!”Lum shouted” I KNOW I AM NOT THE BEST WIFE, I KNOW I AM A DISGRACE FOR BEING IN THIS PLANET AND-”

Ataru’s lips shouted her off, kissing her fervently and when both needed air,  they stopped and he looked at her  shocked expression,

“I CARE FOR  YOU, YOU IDIOT!” It was Ataru’s turn to shout” I COULDN’T CARE LESS OF WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK!”

“But…they said I am useless,  they even said that to me every night at the meetings..”Lum wasn’t thinking right, maybe it was all the crying  and headache that made her tongue slip, 

“They do that to you?” He said slowly.

“Yes, this time they pushed me and I fell and I ruined my dress” She said  sobbing” that was the thing that crossed the line”

“Why was the dress being damaged that made you angrier than the other horrible things that they said to you?”

“It was the dress you brought me on my birthday” She said shyly” it means the world to me”

Ataru didn’t have any words but he hugged her tightly again.

“Darling?”

“Lum, we’re married,   you have to tell me  what is the shit that they tell you and call you”

“You said the S-word!”

“Well since the other people left their decency behind it was  obvious that I will do it as well”

“But…I don’t want to be a weight for you”

“Believe, you’re not, at least for me” He smiled “So tell me what have you suffered meanwhile your husband was blind as a mole”

She began telling him, insecure at first  but as her stories went on, the emotion overcame her again and she began to cry  hiding in his chest, she told him about the mocking, the laughing, the rumors, the stares of the other ladies, how much they discriminated her, how long has she kept quiet, how insecure she felt.

Ataru held his precious person closer, as something ugly formed in his chest after hearing all the things she suffered, how the ladies had lied to him and he felt worse for not noticing it earlier.

It was as clear as water that he loved her and he will never allow someone to hurt her in any way possible ever again, not even the society.

But now he  will, later on, cancel all his meetings for tomorrow  and will have a good time with his wife, he will definitely take her on  dates more often since she will never go to with those snakes ever again

Mermaid Hunters au- The Incident

 A/N: So this Au is a thing, a collaboration with @artistefish and the fellow Rumic world fans on the driving post in arty’s side, hope you all of you like it!

Theme: Mermaid Hunters Au

Yuta and Mana should have known better, everything was going way too smoothly in that place but being around their new companions make them low they guard.

 It was a fact that they felt more at ease with them, making them almost felt like a big family, making them forget how hard has been their live as immortal beings, heck they even were really interesting characters on their own but that didn’t really matter, their group was unique.

And now that new feeling was disappearing, Yuta can feel how his worries are the same as Mana when they go around the place searching for them.

 They all separated at one point, thinking that the situation will get under control after some moments, after all, they pulled it off most of the times.

But this time was different, there were at least 45 lost souls in the Hotel now, the ones that were once residents of this hotel, that were once humans.

“Yuta, I can’t find them, where are they?!” Mana expression was one of worry and Yuta could feel her anxiety, she was so close to the girls.

And he had to admit that he began to soften with the boys, it just wasn’t fair.

I should have ignored their arguments and never had allowed them to be in this trip, sure they were incredibly strong but they are still kids, it was so stupid of me, what if they die?!

Yuta didn’t want to think anymore, it wasn’t helping his state.

“Yuta I will go upstairs, you should go that way!” Mana said and he only nodded, they didn’t have much time.

“Inuyasha, Yuta and Mana are still Inside!” Ranma screamed to his friend so he could hear him in this madness, he was doing his best in fighting the monsters,  at least now there were fewer.

“As soon as we finish with this bastards we will go to them, you know they are hard to kill” Inuyasha said, this was the time that he was glad that those two were immortal.

“Also I am worried about the girls, I hadn’t seen them since we separated, and that feels like hours ago!” Ataru said while evading a claw that aimed to his face.

“I am sure that they can manage themselves, they are quite an interesting force when they are together,” Mao said as he did a sword attack to one of the creatures.

“You’re right, but I am still as worried as Ataru” Rinne sliced two creatures with his scythe.

There were like three lost souls left, they were evadable and the boys decided to ignore them, they couldn’t say it out loud but the injuries these times were deeper; Rinne was still flying thanks to his strong will since his body was in need of an urgent medical treatment , Ranma  was touching his bleeding stomach, Mao’s left shoulder was really bloody and it hurt him to use it, Inuyasha’s back was hurting like hell and he could smell his own blood,  it was better to escape.

Looking at the bright side now they could search more freely the place, as they ran they saw Yuta going towards them, with a worried expression.

The girls were in a predicament, they fought and eliminated the lost souls that followed them, they were used to kick lost souls, what they didn't’ expect was to see the body of a dead lost soul that was the size of a child in the ground at the back garden.

It was that small distraction that cost them more than they could think.

“So, the effects on all of you were way slower, what a mess” A voice they heard a few hours ago said, the person who opened their house to them, the one who gave them food and gave them a smile in the morning. 

The one who probably caused all of this, his sadistic smile gave his secrets away, similar to all the people they fought: the one who still had common sense but with their humanity gone.

That person was at the roof looking down at them.

“You…YOU!” Lum electric aura was gaining power and when she was already halfway to him, he stopped in her tracks, holding a handle with a button in his left hand.

“Stop right there Sugar, you don’t want your friends to be penetrated by my hidden traps, don’t you?”

 “What?” Sakura with her scythe in hand stared furiously at him.

 it had to be a lie

“You’re a lying bastard, why should we believe you?!” Kagome’s bow was already tensed, it was ready to fire.

“Do you think I don’t put traps on my place when lost souls are around?” The director of the hotel said, “ Do you think I would let them close to my residents?”

“Residents?” Akane snapped” YOU USED THEM AND KILLED THEM IN THE WORSE WAY POSSIBLE, HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT?! “

The man barely rubbed the button in his hand and the girls heard something hidden in the big trees at their left, Lum had to descent and Nanoka cursed herself of feeling useless, if only her friends weren’t  in the trap, she could move freely and beat him but no matter how fast she was,  she will never risk it for her friends lives.

“Gotta admit, kinda sad that you all beautiful women will turn into those creatures in a few moments” The shock and terror on the girls face made his smile grew “ Did you think that I gave them the mermaid flesh in another way that wasn’t the Dinner? How innocent are all of you!”

Murmurs and sounds of the creatures they know well were approaching in their left, they needed to move but now if they moved they could die.

The girls were in shock, either way, they will be dead, they will be murdered by the lost souls or by the hand of this psychopath, and now….

They ate the mermaid flesh, all of them.

They will transform in those creatures or if the destiny is kind enough they will survive for the next day only to die.

They broke their promise to Yuta and Mana.

“As I’d let you hurt them!” The girls recognized that voice and saw how Mana came behind the man at the rooftop and punched him making him closer to the end of the roof, the man lost his footing but  landed on Mana, using it to immobilize her but Mana was a quick thinker and with her two legs  throw him  outside the roof floor.

There was only a crack sound when that person crashed to the ground and they knew it was over.

“Oi, get down!”  All the girls below ducked, knowing what would happen next.

Inuyasha’s wind scar was enough to eliminate the creatures that were closer to them, the girls stood slowly and they were smiling when they heard a crack in the trees and they all ran as fast as they could.

Mana screamed.

Kagome and Akane hugged Inuyasha and Ranma.

Lum and Sakura pushed  Ataru and Rinne away.

Nanoka was faster so she stood in front of Mao, shielding him.

And wood spears went through all of the the girls’ chests.

And they stopped breathing

It was pure horror, agony, and denial as the boys held their loved ones in their arms.

Yuta knew the destiny of them and he wanted to scream, to cry but he couldn’t do it, he felt empty, he knew that nothing will be the same again, it was all his fault.

Mana was uncontrollably crying on Yuta’s chest and Yuta held her back.   

And the boys were crying too, the energic, the persistent, the stubbornness and the beautiful smiles of the girls were all a memory now, a dream that was broken when they saw their pale face and cold bodies.

The boys knew that they all were in really bad shape but they didn’t feel pain anymore, if it went well they will go with the girls without transforming in those creatures and they all knew it but is this what being a failure felt? This horrible feeling? One that makes you want to not be alive anymore? To not want to fight?

Sakura’s heart was the first one to revive, it then followed Lum, Akane, Kagome, and Nanoka.

The colors returned to their faces and they opened their eyes, feeling weak but alive, they all smiled.

The boys just hugged their respective girls back, with so many emotions that they couldn’t express with words.

A very happy Mana who had still tears in her eyes went towards her friends,

And if  Yuta and Mana were more observant and less distracted by the sudden event, they could have noticed that the blood in the clothes of the boys were all dried and their injuries were no longer at sight.

It was clear later on, that they were all cursed with the immortality Mana and he had, the girls revived and the deep injuries and lethal wounds of the boys were all gone.

But for the first time, It felt more bittersweet than poisonous.

A visit from the Future

A/n: This is totally self-indulgent and I wanted to do something fun and a bit more mature because I barely have this type of inspirations, hope y’all still like it!

Kagome was waiting for her friends outside the shrine, she wanted to help her friend on her wedding plans, they barely had a half month until the wedding takes place so they needed all the time they could have to prepare it.

“Kagome!” a voice called her name.

And she looked around to find the owner of the voice she knew so well, even if it sounded a bit deeper than she was expecting, white hair covered her vision in an instant and when she opened her eyes she felt him, Inuyasha was hugging her really close,  the sudden act made her blush a little.

“Inuyasha, what’s wrong?” Kagome  said as she felt her checks going warm, the way he was holding her felt intimate and she didn’t know why” I thought you were  with the guys at Miroku’s house”

“Keh, we spent three weeks there, of course, I will miss my woman” Inuyasha said looking at her, she noticed the beginnings of a beard in his chin, his golden eyes were still breathtaking and he was taller, he looked so different but at the same time she knew that he was Inuyasha.

  Wait, they spent three weeks there?  but they just went yesterday!

“Inuyasha, wait, what do you mean by three-” His finger silenced her lips and she gazed at him.

“That can wait, I been missing you so damn much” His finger parted from her lips and that hand went to rest on her cheek, his other hand still rested on her back and he brought her closer to him, Kagome was lost in his intense gaze but her body still moved by instinct and before she could think and stop, she  tiptoed herself making easier for Inuyasha to close the gap between them.

The kiss was so much for her to handle, he was eager, passionate and still tender, it made her feel weak, she put her hands on his chest trying to steady herself, when they broke the kiss, he followed her lips again wanting more and she  kissed him again, this time  she separated first and she buried her face in his chest, feeling a lot of things.

Akane was distracted to say at least, maybe it was because she will get married in a month and she knew that was the most probable reason.

So when she saw a truck coming closer to her when she finally paid attention to her surroundings, she cursed herself.

“KANE!” Strong arms held her and took her away from getting a serious injury, she noticed that Ranma was carrying her bridal style, they were on the fence, looking at the truck moving away from them ”That was close”

Ranma went down to the street in one jump and Akane felt ashamed for being so distracted.

I could perfectly have evaded it if I wasn’t on the clouds, good job Akane, you’re a great martial artist.

“Ranma…”She said slowly, waiting for him to scold her but she was surprised to see his eyes soften and….

Did he just give her the most handsome smile she had ever seen?

“I am sorry for not trusting you Miss Saotome but reflexes hardly die” He said while putting her on the ground but his hands never left her waist and her back” I know you could have evaded it easily”

Being on the ground she noticed how different their height was, sure Ranma was taller than her but he wasn’t this tall yesterday and was her imagination or his voice sounded deeper?

Miss Saotome? But we aren’t married yet!

“No, this time I was distracted and I-” Akane felt warmer and she knew that her face was burning when he referred to her like that and she was ready to explain more until the hand around her waist and the gaze on Ranma’s eyes made her lose her words.

“’’Kane” his voice was like a whisper as he came closer to her, he closed his eyes and she subconsciously closed hers, catching the mood and feeling into it before she could understand the situation.

He kissed her softly at first and she kissed him back, the kiss was honestly becoming a bit intense for her as time passed, it felt intoxicating but at the same time sweet, she didn’t know that was possible.

When they separated, she was pretty sure the idiot had a big smile but she didn’t open them for a moment and then she felt his lips again.

Lum was going to met her friends at Kagome’s house to talk about the preparations on her friend wedding, or at least that was what she was going to do  at first until she saw her Darling running towards her.

When he was closer enough to touch her, he took her by her hips and spun her in the air, Lum was surprised to see her darling acting like this so openly but she couldn’t help swoon about the act.

“Darling, are you okay?” She managed to say, still with a surprised expression as he put her down.

And was her imagination or was he taller?

“I missed you so much Lum” Her Darling looked sincere as he held her, his body was so close to her and  if she advanced a just a little more…

But something was not right, he was being more honest than usual.

“Darling, are you sick?” Her worried tone caught Ataru off guard and he looked like he was holding himself back, was he really sick? she touched his cheeks softly with her two hands, feeling a bit anxious

Ataru took both of her hands and guided them to the back of his neck and then his hands rested on her hips, his gaze was filled with something she couldn’t catch, she floated since he was indeed taller, she was confused by the way he acted but didn’t stop him, her curiosity won over her common sense this time.

“Sorry but I can’t wait anymore” He said as he was close enough to her lips and then kissed her hungrily, Lum’s eyes went wide in an instant and before she could understand what was going on,  she felt him holding her tightly as if she was the most precious thing to him, not wanting to let go.

She barely responded back, feeling overwhelmed by the heat of the kiss mixed with love and passion on his end, it was so unexpected that she was sure that if he hadn’t held her, she could be flying by how distracting that kiss was feeling.

They separated and Lum noticed that she closed her eyes in a certain moment, her darling hadn’t broken the hug and she was sure that she almost saw stars.

Sakura wasn’t new to sudden apparitions after all ghosts were a part of her life since kindergarten, what she didn’t expect was  to suddenly be raised from the ground when she was going to her friend house.

“Sakura!” The culprit’s voice caught her attention and saw how he was holding her hand, making her able to fly momentarily on the sky.

“Rokudou!”

“Please don’t be mad, I am just so happy to see you again!” Rinne said as he came closer to her, hugging her while he covered her in his haori ”people won’t see us like this, if you are worried about that”

She knew that he was attractive but something about him felt different and was the sun making her see things or was he taller? also, his voice sounded different.

“I missed you, Angel” His voice didn’t stutter as usual, he actually looked as it was normal to him to call her like that often.

It was no surprise when her face burned at the words and she had nothing to say.

“Sakura, look at me” he held  her chin softly with one of his hands and said with the softest voice she ever heard even if his voice was  deeper “ Please, let me kiss you”

Sakura knew that something fishy was going on, his way of talking and acting was bolder, his height was weird too but the way he asked permission about a kiss, it was just so him.

She nodded feeling a little shy, he smiled as he held her close and she closed her eyes, the kiss came, soft lips met hers, he was slow at first and began to deepen the kiss when she hugged him back since she felt how the kiss was making her strength go away.

When they stopped, she saw how he gave her the most lovingly look she ever saw.

It took a lot of convincing from Inaba’s part to calm down the boys after they arrived at Kagome’s house and were advised that their future selves were around thanks to some problems at the dimensions Door place were he worked and that they met the girls first, the boys could have been calm if they didn’t saw the effect their future selves had on the girls, all of them were a blushing mess and their minds were more in the clouds than ever.

“What did they did to them?!”Inuyasha shouted to the boy who wore bunny clothes, usually when Inuyasha shouted, Kagome told him to calm down but she was so lost in her mind that she didn’t pay attention to him.

“I don’t know, they  hadn’t talked much since they entered here!”

“And where are those bastards?!” Ranma angry tone could make Soun proud.

“I already talked to them, I told them that they will go back to their time tomorrow at night and before I forget let me put something straight; none of you can see them, it could break the time laws” Inaba sounded serious and the boys had to stop since they knew he was right.

“I thought I was already done with the time travel crap” Ataru was annoyed, but he tried to calm himself down.

“But things aside, isn’t it awesome?!” Rinne said trying to cheer the other ones up” We can ask them about  our future!”

“You cannot ask about important things also not in person” Inaba said.

“Well, we can ask about small things, to see how much we really changed!” Rinne said smiling more as he thought of the idea” Maybe I am not poor in a few years….wait how old are they?”

“twenty-five, not that far if you ask me” Inaba smiled.

“Are you kidding me, they are five or six years older than us?! “Inuyasha didn’t know what to feel about his future self, the well that connected to two times was confusing enough.

“So maybe, it’s not that far off for me to say goodbye to being broke all the time!” Rinne felt hope.

The boys looked at him and they couldn’t stay mad any longer when they saw Rinne’s excitement, sure they will talk to the girls to know the details about their meeting with ‘them’ but they could do that later.

“So how can we ask them things?” Ranma said with curiosity.

“We will think of something” Ataru said before trying to talk to Lum again but she still was completely distracted.

The final plan was simple, the boys made questions on different cards and the girls will use them to ask their future selves, the boys will hear it all through their headphones that were connected to Lum’s special microphone and earphone device that was in the form of the girls earrings, it was a good plan, it only had an inconvenient when happosai attacked them when they were organizing the questions but they made him fly soon enough with one group hit.

But they didn’t notice the four more cards that suddenly appeared, each one distributed in their certain piles of questions.

The girls feeling better the next day decided to go with the plan at the Fenix cafe, it wasn’t a surprise to see the four of the young men apologizing to them about the kiss before going to their respective tables, and the girls blushed in an instant while telling them that it wasn’t entirely their fault.

Only older Inuyasha caught his and his friend’s past selves shout in the girl’s earrings a “HE KISSED YOU?!” in unison.

His blush was deeper.

Other than that the interview went smoothly,  each girl went to a different table with the future self of their loved one, waiting for a bit of privacy for now.

At the final question, the girls came to the conclusion that the young men will read them and answer them, feeling their voice a bit tired after all the talk.

“Is it okay to ask me such an intimate question because I will respond it, ‘Kane?”

“Kagome, this question is the easiest to answer but  you want to really know the answer?”

“I didn’t expect this kind of curiosity at this early age Lum but I will respond if you let me”

“Sakura, I will respond with honesty but are you sure about this?”

The girls were completely innocent by the type of question the last card had, so they just nodded with a smile.

“What was the most erotic thing, we do when we do it?” was the thing the cards said.

And the girls were so surprised to hear the question that they became as stunned as a rock.

The boys, on the other hand, wanted to kill Happosai.

“You scream my name really loud and you do it most of the time when we do it, it drives me nuts, you know?” Inuyasha said blushing a little.

Kagome’s face went red as her heartbeat went faster and she could clearly hear her Inuyasha making strange noises from her earrings.

On the second table was on a situation similar to this one.

“You are kinda dominant,’Kane, you like being on top, so you fight a lot for dominance and that’s one battle that I will happily admit defeat ” Ranma said blushing but lost in his thoughts,  he was probably remembering it.

Akane felt her face burn and she wanted to disappear too…

Ranma after hearing all that almost broke his headphones and he had a sudden urge to exercise so he could forget what he just heard, or at least he wanted to have a really cold shower.

The third table also wasn’t an exception

“Your nails in my back and the way you look at me when I am on top, looking so breathtakingly beautiful with nothing but your smile is just, Amazing” Ataru said looking at other part but still blushing.

Lum felt her whole body really warm and it wasn’t because of her electric aura, she hid her face with her hands, it was so much. 

Ataru, on the other hand, had less control, he actually began to say all of the names he knew as a way to forget what he heard through his headphones and it wasn’t helping.

The last table had the same anomaly.

“I will only say that your back against mine while we do it. is the best thing that will ever happen in my life” Rinne closed his eyes while blushing.

Sakura’s surprised face was gaining a strong red, she even felt warmer than yesterday.

But Rinne didn’t have the composure his future self had, he was knocked down when the headphones passed the conversation through his ears, he lay on the floor completely gone while his face began to match the color of his hair.

At night the boys future selves returned to their time that same day, Inaba apologized a lot but he was happy that the lesson was learned, not in the way he wanted but at least it was something.

And the gang knew since that day that it was already too much for them to know about certain things from the future.

They already had enough with their crazy lives and it was better to live their future than knowing before time.

Abnormalities Au- Bio Life

A/n: My first one shot in here, hope you like it!

Pairing: Ranma and Akane

Ranma breathed slowly since he needed to calm down his nerves, the substance that they injected him was already making his limps go numb and it was a matter of time for him to be completely unconscious, making the people with coats easier to experiment with him.

Ranma was sure that it didn’t matter how many times this happened, his body still trembled at the idea of them touching him or injecting him strange things while he was blacked out thanks to the substance that was on the needles, Ranma Saotome wasn’t the one to let anyone hurt him without a fight and sadly they weren’t any fools, they decided to knock him out when they experimented on him, those bastards knew how to fight dirty, he lost count of how many times they made him transform into a girl and with different methods, he could still feel the pain in his body when water colder than he was used to touched him or when he was almost burned when the water he touched was hotter, there was even one time that they make him stay in that appearance longer, he will never forget their gazes.

“I will make them all suffer when I break these chains,” Ranma said bitterly.

The chains that keep both of his legs and arms  chained to the wall were made of a incredible and resistant material that made it impossible to him to break with the strength he had now, maybe in the first days he could have easily broken free if it wasn’t for the electro shots the door had or how the walls were made of a thick and reflective material that made his escapes and energy attack fail miserably.

How many days had passed since then? He swore he had been here for so long, maybe months?  How much he had to suffer in this house of crazy people? He missed his old life; his home, his mom, his classmate’s, heck he even missed school, when he bickered with Akane about the homework.

‘Kane

How much had passed since he saw the beautiful smile from his fiance? He was grateful that she didn’t accompany him on the trip, they could have caught her too and make her horrible things, things he didn’t want to think about it.

Calm down, she isn’t here, she’s safe in her house

But the anxiety didn’t disappear, he wanted to be with her, he wanted this to be a nightmare, he wanted to wake up, he wanted to….

“Thirty more seconds before the 15-R revision begins,” said a voice that had become familiar to him through the speaker that was on the roof of his cell and Ranma’s heart fell at the thought of how less time he had to think and remember how his life was before this hell.

His eyes began to close, they became heavier and he was barely keeping them open, he could see the door opening and saw people walking towards him, it was all becoming blurry so he closed his eyes, hoping for them to believe that he was unconscious so he could had more information about his surroundings.

“He’s resisting more this time” The same voice from the speaker said “Kaname, next time rise the dose”

“But that could kill him” a female voice caught Ranma’s ears.

“Miss Kaname, what a good joke!” the guy said laughing“Your way of thinking makes clear that you hadn’t worked here before, this guy is one of the best subjects we had in the Bio life facility, no matter how hard we go on him, he always is stubborn enough to survive, just like the case of Dr. Honbu patients and the one in the ‘Future is the best tomorrow’”

“Do you mean that the rumors of Doctor Honbu having a feral beast is true, scientist Umeda?” The woman asked uneasily” And the ones of Doctor Tanashi having a humanoid creature who provides unlimited energy to his facility is also true?”

There were more people kept against their will besides me?  Ranma tried his best to keep conscious, the new information was alarming but  at least he had the bastards name now, there was also a new hope, if he had a way to communicate with those people maybe they could form a plan together and…

Shit, I am beginning to really lose consciousness…

This optimistic way of thinking put him a little on ease, he will be with Akane soon, it was just a matter of time.

At least your safe ‘Kane.

Then Ranma blacked out.

Akane knew something went wrong when Ranma didn’t come to the house in the day he said to, something in her chest began to grow when she decided to search for him, no matter how much her dad prohibited her to go alone, she borrowed Genma’s map and decided to go as soon as possible.

She searched in the place he told them he was staying and her heart broke when she saw his camping tent all forgotten in the middle of the woods, she searched for him shouting his name frantically, something was wrong and she cursed herself for not accompanying him, she should have been more strict!

“Ranma!” Akane  pleaded” Ranma please, it’s me Akane!”

She had a really bad feeling, she searched in the woods, in the mountain and there was no sight of him, she was so focused on searching for him that she didn’t notice that people were following her, it was too late for her.

She only felt something pinch her arm, then it all became dark.

“Subject R-32, I came to tell you marvelous news”The speaker said.

“You know that I don’t  give a shit about anything related to this hell” Ranma said” And I less care of hearing people who don’t even dare to tell me this on  person and goes to hide like a coward behind a microphone”

“Oh my, how many months had passed and you still act like a brat?”Scientist Umeda smirked at the subject tenacity” Well I think it will interest you, after  so many months the sleeping snow white finally woke up”

Snow White?

“What crap are you talking about?” Ranma said” I don’t like to talk to you and your stupid way of talking annoys me to no end”

“Oh?” The man behind the speaker said” I thought you will be interested in the cute blue haired girl that is in one of our best cells, her name is Akane Tendo”

“WHAT?!”Ranma stood up in one movement, furious”  WHAT DID YOU DO TO AKANE YOU FREAKS?!”

“Wow, I hadn’t seen you with this much energy since  the first days” Umeda said in a nostalgic way” We did nothing to her, we only put her to sleep but sadly the one who was in charge to  put inside her the sleepy juice, made the error to put more than it was  ordered and she blacked out for longer  than we expected”

“She has been here for months?” Ranma tried to keep his voice calm after hearing that, these bastards had Akane and as crazy this scientist was he kept his word, still he will kick his ass and make him disappear later on” since when?”

“I see that you’re behaving yourself better, I like that”Umeno said proudly” We found her searching for you in the woods three days later after we captured you, to be honest, I thought she would die after a few days but her resistance to the juice was incredible, so I kept her to see how  much her body resisted until she died but how surprised I was  when she woke up this morning!”

You fucker

“And when were you supposed to tell me about her?” Ranma said darkly.

Umeno was unfaced by his tone since he was secure in the place he was and the subject would never touch him, the security was top notch.

“I will be honest, I never wanted to tell you until she died” Umeno smiled” I wanted to tell you so much about her but the temptation of telling you in the day she died was more delicious to me, after all, she could be nothing that dead fertilizer that could make you finally talk about how did you become the abnormality you’re now, after all the tests we made you, prove that you were normal until you entered high school”

“Hear me out, you asshole” Ranma said coldly and for the first time it made Umeno shiver, Ranma will never tell them about Jusenkyo, he will keep that secret to the grave but he won’t let this asshole hurt his fiancé ” Akane is my fiance and if you dare to touch her in any way or harm her, I will escape this freaking cell and I will fucking kill you in the worse way possible”

When Akane woke up she felt her body stiff, she moved slowly and could feel how rusty she was, she looked at her surroundings; she was on a bed and in a room, it was like a hospital room but with a atmosphere more unsettling, what had happened? How come she was in a place she never has been?

“Where..“She stopped her sentence when she heard her voice sounding hoarse, like if she hadn’t used it for a while.

“I can’t believe you woke up!” A voice in the room said but it was all she could hear for the day.

After that she began to warm up, something was odd and she needed to figure a plan to explore where she was, the door didn’t budge when she hit it days later with all her strength after her body moved more freely and the walls were made for something really sturdy, she couldn’t escape with strength.

When they first visited her she knocked them down with her punches but they caught her easily later on,  so they decided to keep her arms tied up behind her back with a strange metal rope, that was impossible to tear it off unless the sensors touched one of the guards  key card, her first plan failed but the second one was the one who set her free; She played the good girl role for a few weeks, she responded with lies everything they asked, she smiled and kept  calm while they made blood tests and physiological tests on her, making them comfortable enough to not drug her again, then one day when they told her that they had this strange boy who could transform into a girl when cold water touched him, she began to keep more focused on her task to rescue him and escape, she kept talking about little things that could make the other people spill about where her fiance was, with a little bit of her persuasion she began to piece everything about where he was with the scarce information they gave her and where it was the best possibility to break out.

It was the day where there were fewer people at night when she faked a faint, the guard opened the door and touched her to see if she was okay, Akane’s leg responded with a lethal kick on his head, the guard body fell unconscious in a instant, after that, she  passed the keycard close to the rope in her wrists and the rope was finally untied.

She took the keycard and began to go to were Ranma was, being stealthy as possible so she could evade the guards, it worked and the only guard she had to take care of was the one outside Ranma’s cell.

When she entered the room she wasn’t prepared for what she saw, Ranma was there in his female form, her arms and legs were chained and she had the same patient clothes she had but her upper body clothes were all torn up, the pants she wore were ok but his female chest was exposed, Akane took the jacket of the passed out guard, she was going to use it to cover Ranma’s chest when she went closer to her fiancé she noticed that Ranma was covered in bruises and her red hair had now  a tint of black, the same color her hair had when she was in his male form, Ranma looked so vulnerable, even in his female form he always stood strong and proud, she didn’t like seeing him like this!

“RANMA!” Akane shouted, tears going down her checks, she passed the keycard  in front of her chains, something clicked and Ranma’s body finally free sucumbed   to her, she was still unconscious,  she held Ranma closer to her and cried with all her might.

It was her voice that woke him up, he was surprised to remember her voice so clearly after so long, how many times illusions played with his mind, the ones when he and she were free, such cruel illusions.

But suddenly he felt weightless,  his arms and feet were no longer chained, something warm was holding him, he focused more and could hear her, was she crying? This illusion was new.

“Ranma, I am so glad I found you!”

Her voice again, this time he felt something wet in his shoulder, it was warm, were they tears?

Tears? Tears! TEARS!

“‘Kane” Ranma managed to say, opening her eyes slowly, the effect of the needle was wearing off, she was beginning to feel her body again” Is it really you?”

When she opened entirely her eyes she saw her face, her teary smile took the red-haired girl breath away, she took her face eagerly and she didn’t brush her away, both of them closed the distance and they kissed from the first time in months, not caring if he was in his female form, Akane knew that she was the boy who loved, their kiss felt salty because of the tears but it felt good, it felt right.

Both of them knew that together they could escape from this hell, it wouldn’t be easy but the future didn’t look so dark and uncertain anymore.
