i watched love lies bleeding today (well yesterday) and it was soooo good you need to check it out if haven't already and in a couple of hours i'm going to watch monkey man and dune pt2, so i'm basically spending my weekend in the movie theatre, what about about you, how's it going?

im pretty good, thank you! it feels like every time i get the chance to sit down another thing comes up that i need to do, but i have a handful of days off later this week so im just trying to make it til then 😪

i absolutely love the theater so that sounds like a great weekend! i saw dune pt2 and love lies bleeding a few weeks ago and they were both pretty good!! i lovvved the horror aspect of love lies bleeding sm. you’ll have to tell me how monkey man is because i wanted to watch that as well! <3

oh my god i forgot also there was a car accident in the parking lot?? and there’s a basketball tournament today so we’re slammed 💀

the place i work at is open 24hrs and some guys last night apparently approached one of my coworkers with a knife and their car trunk open???? and the coworker got away and went inside, they all called the police and when the police came they only questioned the guys and then let them stay?? and the guys were lingering around, looking into car windows etc. so the ppl working called our manager and asked her what to do and she told them to close the store which was a good call like thank god she did that. but it’s insane that 4 hours later the openers (me included) all showed up and all she told the supervisor was that someone was approached in the parking lot and it was a ‘scary situation’ and what car to look out for. like it is 4 am they could very well still be here and why would she not mention the KNIFE?? 😭 idk maybe i’m overreacting but i have such bad paranoia about abduction and stuff i just think that’s so weird

Sneak Peek

Twenty thousand words into the same topic and your eyes have certainly glazed over, watching the outside world move and breathe with pensive envy. It’s only when the scratching chatter of the Professor’s pen stops that you realize you’ve been staring into space.

When your eyes snap to Lupin he’s watching you, though it’s possible you’re receiving the same glassy-eyed stare that held you captive seconds ago. Your boss always looks tired, but especially now. A weariness lines his features.

He sucks in a breath, empties it slowly.

“Come here.”

You blink, pushing out of your chair embarrassingly fast. The essays in your lap escape your mind entirely, and you have to catch them before they spill out at your feet. Ironically, you’re doing the same with the sudden heat in your middle—gripping it with both hands to keep it from spreading.

The papers are tossed on the first available surface, and then you round the desk to the other side. Lupin’s side.
