They have a certain visual similarity to them, too, like you could accept mosley and lizzie are siblings...i tested in my head whether or not Tommy in a freak-out might see mosley when he looked at lizzie, but decided there is such a thing as too cruel

more cruel: the devastating difference between how much time it takes to think sufficiently of it for it to exist (one to two hours of powerwalking) and how long it takes to write it (12-24 months)

#tongue in cheek because am not *overly* complaining #i quit work in (?) (2010?) for 6 months to 'write' and the lack of competitive tension for time absolutely killed motivation #as well as killing prioritisation ie: if not forced to pick between this or that to write then a lot of low-interest matters filled the jar

the irony being that CM is normal-height for a guy in that era so really, it really *is* that every guy who's taller than Tommy would be considered a freakish giant in England at that time. Freakishly tall Freddie etc...

after several discussions that left me baffled, let me throw this out to the masses: do you look at ao3's icons when you're looking for a fic to read?

#just read the tags and summary tbh #under what circumstance is the mega-tag 'underage' or 'rape' used; eg if fic doesn't feature the act but deals with repercussions y/n? #same as gender/gender.when those characters *are* together in story but story is not focused on the relationship? #therefore tend to loosely apply it myself but rely on tags and summary when reading as they add an additional layer of nuance #i'd probably use/rely on the four mega-tags more if they had a strict definition written into the checkbox section #because i do appreciate fixed categories (esp.with freeform tags) but the language used is too ambiguous for me to consider them reliable
