“Oneness is my true nature” Light and Dark are both part of who you are and we must learn to acknowledge both and integrate both aspects to become one. Many people fear the dark and find shadow work to be a challenge. We are often told to always ask the light for protection that we forget that the dark can be a blanket that conceals us from harm. A lesson I recently learned and to paraphrase my teacher, To deny ones shadow is to deny a part of yourself and sometimes that shadow part wants to be acknowledged and looked after as well. They are like a child that you must care for as well, and if we neglect a child, it can cause them to act up. I wanted to share my simple Samhain/All Soul’s day altar. I couldn’t really have an Ancestor altar because my mom didn’t have any pictures of her grandparents. So instead. i have a Remembrance Altar. I’ve lost my grandpa and my little brother and in previous years, i would go to church and light a candle for them. I’ve always felt them near me when I needed them the most.
