since i no longer do my online store so i have no need for like. branded items (merch packaging, business cards, etc) do u think it might be time for a full-on rebrand...

my current "art brand" is literally my irl name + "art". like. that feels a lil unsafe in terms of internet privacy lol? the only reason i started doing that was bc my idol at the time used his full irl name for his brand but hes literally an irl professional character designer so thats like. warranted. but im simply a lil guy online

part of me wants to do a crazy thing and draw every pokemon. like, a dex challenge. but i couldnt even do the "draw every neopet" challenge LOL so idk what the hell im thinking here

was thinking this morning while lying in bed.. irt comics of course

are any of my projects ones that im genuinely passionate about?? like. am i making them i want to tell the story from my heart and am genuinely interested in them? or am i making them bc i saw someone else make something similar and i wanted in on that fun..

i was wondering this and i think..the only one of my current projects that im genuinely 100% passionate about to the point of where its PURELY because of my own interest and desire to tell the story is..mirrors? which makes me feel a certain way. bc its a story set in a universe that isnt mine.

i feel a little weird and lowkey disappointed that the story im most genuinely passionate about is a fan story. like..idk. i know its not a horrible bad thing, its fine! i just kinda wish my passion project was an original one??

villain + school would be the next candidate for passion project but its kinda on the backburner right now u_u i havent 100% lost interest in it but its..not a lot of interest right now lol. and one way dream is kinda up there too but its like..idk. heavily based in sonic and stuff. WHICH AGAIN its not a bad thing to take inspiration!!!! and its not necessarily based on sonic more than it is just inspired by it..idk. maybe i need to be nicer to myself abt that one lol

i guess what brought this up was that i see a lot of ppl who make comics have this One Project that they work on for a long time and its their absolute passion for one reason or another. like, they have a story they want to tell, and its close to their heart, and they want to share it. and it feels weird that the one story i have that comes anywhere near that for me is mirrors, a dragon ball oc story :/...

and i cant just Make A New One out of the blue bc then itd be just Because I Want One and not a naturally-developing thing that id like to genuinely make and be proud of and passionate about..if that makes sense??

i think the two (2) art styles i keep finding myself coming back to are my "natural" style and a more anime style. my natural style is def anime influenced but not like..100% there? i guess? while a more anime style from me would be more Blatantly Anime yknow.

but with the anime style theres like..a lot of sub-styles within that one that i like to use lol. mainly two i think though: a "mature-looking" one and a more simplistic one if that makes sense

and yes i know i dont Have to have One Style all the time but it feels worse and worse to not have a consistent style nowadays. like it feels bad on my brain. so i wanna be more consistent so i feel Better
