I write fic firstly to create the exact thing that I want to read and only secondly to entertain others

re-reading my own fic because the author has exactly my taste in tropes, ships the same ships in the right way, and also shares my sense of humour. what a find, what a revelation. i hope they write more of this sort of thing.

One thing I think is interesting about killing eve is like both eve & villanelle do have aspd symptoms, but eve clearly has for a long time and perhaps her entire life could have been a moral good person in society had she not had the avenue of fixation she did in her work. meanwhile villanelle was specifically taken from horrific circumstances and trained to be a killer. much of that and the way she was trained wasn't her choice, even if she from a young age did have violent tendencies. she wants so badly to be capable of existing within a society too and having connections but she has no clue how and when people try she does what she was trained to respond with and often kills them. it's like about how much what traits are taken from you and used against your will and also what you're willing to indulge from within yourself coming from opposite angles. and in the end they both end up changed by something very similar in the both of them, together.

In my soul and spirit I'm rejoicing with the 911 kiddos for their good fortune, but the true vector for spreading fannish enthusiasm on Tumblr is the gifset, and all the 911 gifsets seem to be of 2-3 absolutely identical dudes, so it's all very confusing. I don't know which one Buck is, but I guess he's going on dates with a guy who isn't the other main guy? I actually thought there were gays already, but what I'm learning is that those are the gays from a different show which is also 911, a show I was not even aware had a cinematic universe. Anyway I believe in my heart that all of this would feel less confusing to me if it were happening on a space ship, but people who watch procedurals deserve happiness and I'm not afraid to say it. God bless you and your 2-5 sturdy, indistinguishable white men.

I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.
