“Our son needs a name.”

“Jaehaerys?” Jon offered.

She frowned.

“And how many of those have there been?”

“We have an Aegon and there’s been five of them, not to mention all the ones who never became kings.” he countered.

She rolled her eyes and poked him in the chest.

“We named him after your brother at your insistence.”

“We did, but you also liked the name and the same with Rhaenys. How about Baelon?”

Daenerys shook her head.

“It’s too close to Baelor for my liking.”

“But Baelor Breakspear was -”

“A fine warrior and one of the Targaryens you admire, yes, but there is also Baelor the Blessed who locked his own sisters up in the Maidenvault.” she replied, her face curling up because she found Baelor the Blessed to be rather horrible.

“Fair point.” Jon conceded.

She knew that he cared little for Baelor I as well.

His next suggestion was worse than Baelor.

“Maegor.”

“After Maegor the Cruel? No.”

He drummed his fingers along her stomach and fired off another name.

“Maelor.”

“No.”

“Maegon.”

“No! Is that even a real name?” Dany replied, and she poked him in the chest as she rolled her eyes.

Jon tsked at her and said, “He was a Lord of Dragonstone before the Conquest. How can you not know the history of our house?”

What is your take on people writing fanfiction? Have they got anything right that might happen to Crowley and Aziraphale in season 3?

Funny you should ask me that. As an obsessive reader of Good Omens Season 3 fanfiction I was amazed to see how much they have right including:

Sadie and Dottie's boarding home for indigent chinchillas.

Crowley's sad death after eating too many pies.

Who stole Mr Wimble's Magic Hat (how they got this one I will never know).

Why Aziraphale wasn't in the gorilla suit, and also

The Herring Problem.

Frankly I'm not sure why we're even going to make Season 3 any more. You people are already so far ahead of us. Although I suppose that the pies were a bit obvious.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING HERES SOME PIE.

Jon had not even said one word to her, but he already knew she was a teacher, and she was willing to dress up as a turkey and she was sweet and friendly, and she liked to project power—otherwise she wouldn’t be wearing such high heels with her height—or maybe she just liked them. Either way, he gazed down at her, finding himself smiling. “I can’t imagine students wanting to go after a teacher who dresses as a turkey,” he said. He was not good at flirting. At all.

Robb, his cousin, would probably already have her phone number, but he was just getting warm under his collar. He reached to loosen it a bit and tugged off his beret, which he’d been remiss to do entering the building, as was protocol. The movement dislodged his bun, which he’d had to tug his hair into to keep with the uniform rules It drew the turkey’s attention, eyes widening. “Oh wow, Night’s Watch. Very cool.”

“Thanks,” he mumbled. He looked at the display and Hot Pie moved forward. He pointed to the pumpkin pie, at the same time the turkey pointed to it.

They said in unison: “I’ll take that.”

Hot Pie flicked his gaze from one to the other. He pointed to the pie. “There’s only one left.”

“And I’ll take it,” Jon said.

The turkey shook her head. “Nope, that’s mine.”

“After you,” Jon said, holding the hotel door open for Daenerys. With a prim “thank you,” she ducked under his arm, hauling her enormous suitcase in behind her. Smiling, he rolled his eyes and then nodded farewell to Tormund and Grenn, who were staying in the room across from them. He adjusted her backpack on his shoulder as he slipped into the room behind her, his own (much more reasonably sized) weekender bag in hand. Daenerys glanced around the room in admiration. “Oh, wow! This is—oh.” Nearly colliding with her when she came to a dead-stop, he grabbed her shoulder to prevent a collision. “What? What’s wrong?” he asked, sweeping his gaze around the room in mild apprehension. “Nothing, I just—I didn’t realise it was only going to be one bed,” she said. Jon followed her line of sight to the large king bed that took up one wall of the room; off to the side was a sitting area with a couple chairs and a small couch. On the opposite wall was the door that led to the en suite bathroom. “Right,” he said slowly. He’d not really considered it either. “These things are booked well in advance, and I didn’t know you’d be coming with me then. But I’m sure they figured—” He cleared his throat. “Well, it didn’t much change anything in their minds, you know?” Blushing, she laughed sheepishly. “Yes, of course. That was silly of me. I just….hm. Yeah. OK. This is fine.” It sounded like she was trying to convince herself. Was she afraid he was going to maul her in her sleep? He liked to think he had more control than that. With a reassuring squeeze, he made himself let go of her shoulder. “I can sleep on the couch, if it makes you feel better.” As he said it, he eyeballed the couch and immediately regretted making the noble gesture. It looked half his height. But she shook her head. “No, no—it’s fine, really. That’s a pretty big bed. We could probably fit two more people on that thing and never…um, touch.”
