Also weird take to be like "you as a disabled adult can't compare your experience to that of a child's re: oppression bc you're a disabled adult and not a child and don't understand from a child's perspective" as if I've never been a child before in my life

Like this isn't "I'm gay therefore I understand black oppression as a white person." We were literally all children. It's especially easy if you've never once felt like a Real Adult in the sense that your disabilities have led you to miss critical life milestones, socially stunted you, and adults treat you the way they treat children and not other adults. Like I didn't ask a social worker to go "aw, that's cute" when I told her my autism was getting in the way of me getting govt assistance and I'd lost a ton of weight from literal starvation. But it happened anyway

And if you treat kids like regular human beings within age appropriate social boundaries, they're literally mostly stressed little people with cool opinions who aren't allowed to leave abusive situations or seek medical care for themselves, similarly to disabled people with the least autonomy and rights

my cat is incredibly sweet and wants nothing more than to be within a 5 ft radius of a person at all times, gently chilling in your orbit. he is also VERY, VERY DUMB 

it’s a slow morning so husband and I are reading, not making much noise. meanwhile, Barold goes downstairs to use his box and when he comes out, he starts yowling like his lil heart done broke. husband goes to to the top of the stairs all worried like, “Barold, what’s wrong?”

kitty zips back up the stairs and just oozes onto husband’s feet, purring high-powered lawnmower style. the realization hit us both at the same time…

this. boy. this itty bitty kitty boy. 

he couldn’t see or hear us for ten continuous seconds, forgot. we. were. home. and immediately burst into tears !!!!
