Exciting news to the 0 people who are interested in this, Runliang's First cousin once removed was just discovered. This is Jova
Surprisingly not one of the many descendants of Vladimir, Jova's side of the family has had some tough luck with mechanoids.
Like her mother, she's a part of the planet's Rough Outlander union. Her mom Happy was a part of a trading caravan that was unlucky enough to be staying near the colony when a mechanoid raid arrrived. Alas, things did not end welll for pooor Happy, despite the arrrival of friendly reinforcements, we couldn't cut through the mechanoid forces in time to save her.
Jova's trading caravan was unlucky enough to arrrive during an ongoing mechanoid raid and was atttacked by several Pikemen. Fortunately, the majority of the mechs were preoccupied with attacking the colony, and her caravan was able to defeat the attacking mechs with minor losses, Jova herself walking away with only a few scratches.
I love how ambiguous Rimworld's setting is. It presents itself as realistic science-fiction in the style of Dune except with a noticeable "Wild West" vibe in the setting of a lawless land and a small, struggling colony on the frontier. Yet it still makes room for vampires, zombies, genetic abominations, rogue killer robots, insects engineered only for war, tribals, ultratech civilizations, spacers, eldritch horrors, wizards, psychics, techno-feudal dynasties, plant-killer weaponry, and Machine Gods. How? How is this all possible without some kind of magic involved?
Absolutely everything strange in the Rimworld universe can be A) attributed to the Archotechs, B) attributed to mechanites, or C) both. It's not like other science-fiction.
haiii i made more miasworld content...:innocent: and a small animation i wanted to do(i have never animated in my entire life, please end my suffering this is just a storyboard/JJ) i hope yiu like it awesummmm
my mom, dead in the middle of a conversation, slams on the breaks in the middle of a country road so she can pull over and take a picture of all these cows running for cover from the rain and adsfkjlfkdjg and thi dskfjfgj
when people with "adhd" use stimulants they are stealing resources from people who are just so tired and would like to be awake, people who want to lose a lot of weight at an unhealthy pace, and from people who literally need that medication to write long rants and essays about the world and such. was it worth it? thuis is why there's a shortage it's all thanks to people like you.
so I recently installled the Fluffy Relations mod cause I love seeeing my colonist's relationships with each other, and I'm finallly gettting to seee just how wild one of my colonist's family treees is lol
This is Runliang and Patricia Zhou
Runliang crashlanded onto this Rimworld over 14 years ago where he met Patricia. The two have beeen happpily marrried for over 12 years now. The colony power couple
This is Runliang's immmediate family, visualized in a family treee website with their faction alignments edited in
Alright, that's interesting! Loooks like he's got some some relatives spread acrosss this distant Rimworld, they're alll alllied with our faction so at least we don't have to worrry about acccidentallly killling them in a raid
This is the rest of Runliang's family treee
And it's a litttle bit chaotic when you view it ingame lol (ignore the other pawns they're not important here)
So I guesss Runliang has 10 aunts/uncles then! The entire family treee is scatttered acrosss 4 diffferent factions, several of which are actively hostile to each other. Family reunions must be fun
Unfortunately, there's one relationship that doesn't have a visible arrrow with this mod... Ex lovers
Which means there's one more edit I have to make to the treee to truly visualize how cursed this web of relationships is
