Also Kelsier being like.. "fuck this, I thought Sazed had this under control, well he at least sent Dawnshot... Nevertheless ghostbloods, assemble..
Also idk I find it funny that Sazed went to Marsh instead of Kelsier for help lmao
Sazed might be unstable rn but Him and Marsh laughing at Kelsier for not inviting him is so petty(not intentional but just super funny)

Mistborn AU where Ruin is the protagonist and Preservation is the antagonist
Ati was able to control Ruin a little bit more, channeling its Intent to destroy things that harmed humanity. But Preservation still did not like this destruction. He would rather humanity be harmed, but not destroyed, so long as everything in the universe stays stable with all its processes working smoothly. In his mind, Ruin is messing with the natural order of things, so he locks Ruin up. Preservation in this AU is more stable, so he continues to affect things around Scadrial to keep everything The Same. But Ruin was still trying to get out. Alendi and all that stuff happens, but Preservation uses Rashek killing Alendi for his own goals, manipulating him to create an empire without change. It doesn’t matter if people suffer, so long as everything is The Same.
Flash forward to the books, and Ruin manages to get enough of his power into the world to infuse Kelsier with some of it (fun morally good destruction guy, Ruin loves him). Kelsier notices he has some weird powers that he shouldn’t have, and it excites him, but it also freaks him it since he has no idea where it comes from. Eventually, an Inquisitor “accidentally” spikes him so Ruin can speak to him, explaining his plans. Kelsier is excited because a god trying to kill The Lord Ruler? Awesome! So he works with Ruin to kill Rashek. He still dies in this AU but becomes a Cognitive Shadow with Ruin’s Investiture, not Preservation’s.
Ruin figures out that in order to stop Preservation, they *both* need to be destroyed, so most from here on out goes similar to canon, with Harmony/Discord being created. Vin still has to take the power of Preservation to defeat Ruin, which really pisses Kel off.

Mistborn Era 1 Characters- Would They Listen To My Chemical Romance (as an MCR fan)
Kelsier: Yes, but specifically Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge and the heavy songs in Black Parade. It's great background music for killing nobles.
Vin: Yes, she is obsessed. She has posters in her room, merch, and has seen them live. She has listened to all their songs, and Gerard Way's solo music.
Elend: Not really, they used to scare him. Now he'll sometimes listen to them with Vin but they're not his favorite.
Sazed: During the time between Tindwyl's death and his Ascension, yes. But all other times no, he finds them too intense. Even during that time he only listened to their sadder, calmer songs.
Marsh: definitely after he escaped Ruin's control, I'm not sure about before that.
TenSoon: not until he met Vin. But he spent a lot of time listening with her and now loves them.
Rashek: I want to say no because if MCR formed in The Final Empire he would probably have them killed but like... he has dark pitch black hair and hates the world. If you looked at him you would assume he's an MCR fan.
Ruin: He would find them very fun, so probably.
Straff: The only main villain who definitely would not listen to MCR. He would probably be one of those people who's think MCR is ruining younger generations.
Zane: Do I even need to write this one? He would probably be creepily obsessed. Like Vin is jut having fun with it, Zane tries to find out where the members live.

sometimes your favourite guy in the books is a dude you and your friends refer to as 'kebab face' who was forced to commit highest treason by god, is one of the best examples of foreshadowing you've ever read about, and he deserves a little pat on the head for his 300 year redemption effort

Does anyone do Cosmere RPs? I’ve been wanting to do one for a while but I can’t find anywhere to do it. I’d want to do one with MB1 characters or Stormlight characters

Roshar should have dogs for the sole reason that Kaladin deserves to cuddle with them

something small for the evening. More good boys of Shinovar. Mostly just wish fulfillment and heavily biased predictions for SA5. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Image description: rough coloured digital sketch of Kaladin lying in the grass blissfully snoozing. He wears no jacket and the sleeves of his shirt is rolled up to his elbow, because it is just sexy, what can I say. Otherwise he lies there veeeery relaxed. Mouth and expression slack with sleep and his head propped against a giant, white shaggy sheepdog, who looks like it is sleeping if its wagging tail wouldn't tell a different story. That dog seems pretty content with its current role as a pillow. There is another smaller dog sleeping next to Kal's long legs in the grass. A tiny butterfly flutters above the serene little scene.

Why I Think Dalinar Will Lose
[MAJOR spoilers for Rhythm of War! Spoilers also for Mistborn included in #1]
At the end of Rhythm of War, Odium and Dalinar set terms for the Contest of Champions: it’s happening in 10 days, and they’re each picking a willing champion to fight to the death on the top of Urithiru. Dalinar has decided to be his own champion, but we don’t yet know who Odium’s champion will be. We also don’t know what the outcome will be.
And personally? I’m wagering that Dalinar will lose the fight. And here’s why.
1. We’re halfway through a 10-book series.
I mean, it’s like when the protagonists of a TV show have a great plan…10 minutes into the episode. You know it’s not going to work out. Now, this is a little different, since there’s going to be a time jump before Stormlight 6 and who knows what the plot of the second half of the series is going to be–it could be like Mistborn Era 1, in which [spoilers ahead] the Lord Ruler did really die at the end of Book 1 and then the next two books dealt with the fallout. But still. I feel very suspicious about our protagonists winning against Odium this early.
2. Taravangian’s now in charge.
Dalinar could handle the old Odium–they’d verbally sparred a few times already, and Dalinar always came out on top. This Contest of Champions business itself is Rayse making what seems to be a pretty bad deal–he’s bound to the system no matter the outcome. But now it’s not Rayse any longer; it’s Taravangian. And Taravangian is scarier–even Hoid freaked out before his memories were wiped. And in that same scene, Taravangian realized something. We don’t know what, but I am not optimistic about what it means for Dalinar.
3. The Mysterious Odium Champion
My previous list/poll about who Odium’s champion might be raised a number of seeming no-win situations for Dalinar–especially once you take into account the comments I got on my poll. What is Dalinar supposed to do if his grandson Gavinor is the champion? Or Adolin? What if it’s Taln, and killing him will mean breaking the oathpact and letting Odium free after all? And if WE can come up with these seemingly unwinnable situations for Dalinar, what could Brandon Sanderson come up with?? The fact that we don’t know who the champion is makes it seem much worse for Dalinar, somehow.
4. It’s just the more interesting outcome
Like, if Dalinar loses, he becomes Odium’s agent in the wider Cosmere: evil, worldhopping Dalinar working for Odium and presumably doing what he can to undermine him at the same time. Flavors of Marsh from Mistborn Era 1. To me, that just feels more narratologically interesting than Dalinar winning, getting some land back, and then the borders freezing where they are.
5. There’s always another secret.
I feel pretty secure in stating that there will be SOMETHING unexpected about this duel. Maybe it won’t be Dalinar losing–maybe it will be someone other than Dalinar being his champion (I haven’t given up on a Kaladin vs. Moash fight). Maybe the fight won’t happen at all, due to some sort of Taravangian machinations. Maybe we’ll finally find out what made the Radiants break their oaths in the first place and the fight will take on new and more terrible connotations. I’m not that good at guessing. So for me, the simple “twist” to expect is Dalinar losing.
What do you all think? Take the poll to share your thoughts!

Dog/Cat alliances of some Stormlight characters
Kaladin- cat person, probably adopts a little of black kittens after finding out how black cats are mistreated, would die for them
Adolin- come on, he’s a golden retriever in human disguise. Both a dog person and a dog that is a person
Shallan- she’s a cat person, have you met Pattern? He’s just a cat that can talk
Dalinar- dog person, but like, a dog trainer person. Has a bunch of German Shepards that are completely trained
Jasnah- cat person, dogs are too loud and messy for her. Cats stand their ground, she likes that
Elhokar- dog person, begs Dalinar to give him a German Shepard as a guard dog. He will never leave the dog’s side because the dog can bark if someone tries to assassinate him! Or bite them!
Renarin- vibes with cats the same way Adolin vibes with dogs

Five Nights At Freddy’s, Authorial Intent, The Box, and why CC doesn’t really matter.
Authorial intent is the act of, rather than looking at the story itself, you focus on the author. Why did they write this, why did they act this way. That’s what I want to focus on, Scott Cawthon after the release of FNAF 4, and what that means for the story. Scott was, for lack of a better word, frustrated after FNAF 4. Think about the box, how he never gave us a concrete answer to what it was because no one got the complete story of the game. He gave MatPat the hint “why is little toy Chica missing her beak?” Well, I have an answer to both of those, CC doesn’t matter! He’s not Golden Freddy, Cassidy is! And he’s definitely not the Puppet, that title is Charlie’s. So in the grant scheme of things, who is he? Well, he’s the brother that Michael accidentally murdered. That’s why Scott was so frustrated. He didn’t mean to tell us about CC, but rather about Michael. It was Michael’s backstory. This was Scott trying to tell us “this is the boy you play as in the rest of the series, and this is why he spends over five nights at Freddy’s”. But, due to the lack of information at the time, no one understood. So he introduced William Afton as the Purple Guy in the books, then again in the games, and made his daughter the antag, as well as making another antag a representation of his wife. This game was supposed to make you connect the Afton’s to the protag of the series, make you realize that the protag is an Afton. But no one got it. So Scott threw his hands up and said “fine! I’ll just tell you!” And gave us the cutscenes after the SL custom nights, which gave us more information about Michael than anything. Michael turning purple isn’t actually him turning into a rotten corpse (how could he get a job as a corpse? Even if Fazbear Entertainment is garbage, he’s a corpse! That’s wayyyyy past the line) but rather to connect him to William, to the Afton’s. He even shares the same VA as William! Scott basically threw in our faces that Michael was an Afton, and the kids in FNAF 4 were Aftons as well (think about the empty girl’s room, which SL gives us an answer to), therefore Michael = Foxybro = MC. Then he finally closes it off with FNAF 6 (ah satiating FNAF 6 ending, I miss you), giving us Henry’s line about his “brave volunteer” wanting to die in the fire. And I think that’s what finally put the FNAF fandom in agreement about Michael (at least, the FNAF fandom can’t agree on much, so Scott still needed more confirmation in Fazbear’s Frights since MatPat thought Michael was CC as a robot). I mentioned earlier the line “why is little toy Chica missing her beak?” She’s missing her beak because the cutscenes aren’t even from CC’s POV, they’re from Michael’s, how he remembers his little brother, and how he remembers himself. CC is, frankly, a little bit too much of a crybaby to be realistic. And yes, this is a game, so I might be looking to far into it, but CC never stops crying, even when the Fredbear plush tries to comfort him. And about the Fredbear plush, I don’t think it’s William talking to him or a spirit, I think Michael saw CC with the plushie all the time, and interpreted it as an object of comfort for him, that’s why it’s literally everywhere, Michael remembers CC bringing it with him everywhere. And how does Michael look back at himself? With nothing but hatred. He sees himself as the older brother who lives for nothing but torment (we don’t get any scenes of Michael being nice until CC is dying). And he’s afraid of his younger self (think about how many YouTubers jumped at the Foxybro jumpscares). And the gameplay? That’s William punishing Michael, and that’s why we see it in SL. So why is little toy Chica missing her beak? Because Michael Afton has already been Fritz Smith, and the image of Toy Chica without her beak is burned into his mind. I believe almost to complete certainty that the first concept of the box was something connecting FoxyBro to the FNAF protags.
That was very ranty, and there was some other things I wanted to add. But for the sake of all our time, I’ll end it here. Thanks to anyone who read all the way through.
