3. A weird cash-in title with too big a budget for a book series written in the 30-50s. We're not playing it, just making fun of it.

2. Highly anticipated first party title for one of the biggest franchises in gaming, a sequel to the massively popular 2017 installment. This one is getting all the press because they've added SEXY GOATMEN and LEGOS, so naturally this community of autistic furries has eaten it up.

3. A mod for a game from 1993 where you shoot demons with shotguns, on Mars. This one sounds like a creepypasta and is heavily influenced by a postmodernist horror-satire novel from the year 2000. It's somehow about internet horror fiction and gay love and what we remember and how those memories make up who we are and how HAPPINESS IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR and also Shrek is there. You still kill demons with a shotgun. It may have been made by a ghost.

I dreamt that people found out that tumblr posts had a secret hidden text field that you normally couldn't put anything into that was called a post's "wungle text", and it wasn't normally displayed in any way, but someone made a browser extension that allowed you to write and view a post's wungle by flipping it over like an index card. The user's picture and name and all that would be backwards, but the wungle post looked otherwise like a normal post, though empty unless the author had written something in there. It worked in reblogs too.

People were using it for jokes, and a bunch of seemingly boring and innocuous posts got really popular with funny wungle sides.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.

Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.

Okay, so you know how search engine results on most popular topics have become useless because the top results are cluttered with page after page of machine-generated gibberish designed to trick people into clicking in so it can harvest their ad views?

And you know how the data sets that are used to train these gibberish-generating AIs are themselves typically machine-generated, via web scrapers using keyword recognition to sort text lifted from wiki articles and blog posts into topical subsets?

Well, today I discovered – quite by accident – that the training-data-gathering robots apparently cannot tell the difference between wiki articles about pop-psych personality typologies (e.g., Myers-Briggs type indicators, etc.) and wiki articles about Homestuck classpects.

The upshot is that when a bot that's been trained on the resulting data sets is instructed to write fake mental health resource articles, sometimes it will start telling you about Homestuck.

ok. icebreaker-type question. imagine time travel exists, but all of the serious super big things that likely come to mind when time travel is a factor is stuff youre not “qualified” for, as a civilian. what stupid, petty, thing do you use time travel for?

personally, i’d buy this one limited-time pin from a con i had no chance of going to, and also buy some transformers animated toys while they were still being sold.

prince is the most recent member of my retired battle team! i received him as a gift from a relative and he's been a permanent member since then. :] i'd wanted a clodsire/paldean wooper on my team for a while because ummmmmmmmmm my favorite poke celebrity crush has one (if you know who that is between us okay) and they're very adorable!!!!

he is very chatty!!!! and loves meeting new people. him and cinders are nearly always together unless im doing something that gets cinders' curiosity.

prince's crown is his favorite thing! when he was a wooper i had been crafting little paper crowns and prince had finagled one onto his head. he LOVED it, up until the point it got soggy and ruined. so i custom made him a more durable, and nicer looking little crown. he hasn't parted with it since.
