'throwing your lover over your shoulder, carrying them over to bed' from the kissing prompt with Paddy doing it to Augustin cause that's definetly something I see him doing lol
Here we go!! Thank you for the request <3
-
He feels the shift, the smirk that starts to take over Paddy’s whole being, and knows Paddy is about to do something. Augustin doesn’t even have time to pull away from the kiss to say anything before Paddy has moved first, a chuckle low and dangerous in his throat as he moves.
“Paddy, what—?”
The answer collides bodily with him, the world pitching weirdly as his weight is thrown off-balance and caught by Paddy’s strength. With a gasp, his hand flying to his face to keep his glasses in place, Augustin finds himself already being carried.
“Oi! What are you doing?”
“Going for a swim,” Paddy says with utter dryness, although Augustin can hear the smile in his words. Quickly reassuring himself that there really is nowhere for Paddy to go for a swim with Augustin still over his shoulder, Augustin tries to wriggle free and find out where they’re really going.
“Ey, do you want me to drop you?” he’s warned.
Paddy is going to do no such thing. He is too strong and sure of himself for that, and Augustin has to admit he very much admires that. As undignified as his current position is, he knows Paddy will keep him safe.
“Put me down,” he gasps, pushing at Paddy’s back. It doesn’t help. He doesn’t mind. As ridiculous as this is, he finds himself chuckling. How can Paddy handle him so easily? It should not be possible.
“Down?” Paddy echoes, and there’s definitely mirth there now. “You want me to put you down?”
Augustin realises where they are just as he gets his wish, and is rather impressively hauled forward until he’s falling through the air, the soft bed rising up to meet him. The impact welcomes his whole body, the air leaving his lungs and taking a moment to find again.
He hasn’t even regained his composure before Paddy is crawling over him, kneeling and leaning down, his grin wider than Augustin has ever seen it. Flushed from the effort of carrying him, Paddy looks incredibly pleased with himself.
“Now, where were we?” he grins.
Augustin doesn’t need to answer. A second later he couldn’t anyway, even if he wanted to. He loops his arms around Paddy, pulling him down just in case Paddy moves away again, and forgets.

something that appeals to me so much about joe and web’s characters and their dynamic is that they both have such a vast capacity for violence but also tenderness all the same. like web will pull a gun on a german baker but he’ll give sad dutch kids chocolate. joe is aggressive and wants revenge against the germans but he’s so gentle and caring when his friends are hurt. they’re both such angry people and that anger comes out when they’re together but I think it only masks their soft underbellies, the fact that they both care a lot and have big hearts and that’s why they’re so affected by everything. that’s why web goes on that rant in the back of that truck, that’s why joe keeps shooting at the germans even when he doesn’t have to. they love too much they feel a lot and it consumes them and the war turns that love into rage. they don’t know where else to put it
