UHHMMMMM, I'm in the final stretch of the school year, and have basically been spending all my free time drawing on Krita <:)
I've made some pretty neat things, but for a little bit of context, there's this game called "Pokémon Academy Life: Forever!". Great game, definitely recommend it
Anyway here's some memes I drew of it, 100% spoiler free
Actually me and some of the community members started an entire oc thread, and guess who made an oc :)
I say, as if I don't already have a bajillion
Anyway here's her interacting with Guzma, he's not in the game at all, I just thought it was funny they both had white hair
(also oh my god??? Glazed trying to draw proper backgrounds????)
These were really good practice. Astarion is of course my bias, but I also think he’s the best one I did cuz he was the last. Someone mentioned previously about Minthara, and I left her out because as far as I know you can’t enter a romantic relationship with her only a physical one. Despite my infatuation, I can’t actually play the game tho so I could be wrong 🤷🏼♀️ Something I think I wanna do next is Stardew Valley characters but it might be a while before I tackle another series of characters again, we’ll see
I drew the bg3 cast as ponies. Apparently the only autism I got was the gay pastel pony and the gay high fantasy rpg autism and not the math and science autism I GUESS.
Oh and bonus bloodweave bc I’m obsessed with them
Will be updating with Jaheira and Minsc + alt designs for Astarion and Halsin whenever I get to them!!! :3
I've had this in the works for a while but decided to churn it out with one last push of effort
(Right is most recent)
In my personal story-lore regarding Shadow, a lot like other people's interpretations, he gains 0more Black Arms traits when he gets older. Except rather from age, he gets them from being possessed by another generation of Black Arms
He also has children! As seen in the right image
Here's two other little sketches I made of the concept, the left one is where Silver meets the older version of Shadow, and the right is his two children but as teens :)
Okay but like- what if I drew the second part next Christmas-
Ashes and Christmas (Pt. 1)
*cracks knuckles*
I suddenly got the urge to make a little Christmas comic with an oc of mine. Although I doubt I'll finish in time for Christmas so I'm gonna send the w.i.p, and probably the second part after Christmas
Anyway, hope you enjoy :>

So, after the silly character question, I'll spitball another. What's your process for designing characters? Also, what's your favorite Mobini?
Why would you ask that (╥_╥)
Unlike character concepts, designing is something I'm not that good at(?
In the early days, a lot of my character designs were largely based off of other sources that I thought were cool, then again I guess that's how a lot of designing happens
But design cohesion wasn't really my thing, so a lot of character designs I made ended up looking messy when I tried incorporating too many elements. At some points I was constantly redrawing outfits on a character because I just really didn't like the other one
Although, occasionally some non-media-inspired design choices come to mind. Like, Ashes' weird undercut braid thing
So, what's your process for creating original characters? Do you come up with them out of the blue, or do you find inspiration from other media first?
Hoo boy, uh, hm, that's a bit of a toughie. Sonic's the fandom where over half of my ocs come from so I'll just use that as an example
Back when i was 12 some of my first Sonic characters were inspired by other people's characters, many of them were also based off of mythology. And, yeah, it was pretty bad, but it's part of the creation process!
So then as I got older I always got dissatisfied with the way I wrote my characters and their backstories, so there were a lot of rewrites for a lot of them. Eventually, they just grew into their own characters
But that...doesn't actually answer the question-
Most of the time, the idea just comes to me spontaneously. Like, I'll be doing something and then my brain thinks something along the lines of, "Man, what if I made an oc who's from Silver's timeline, but instead of being a fiery landscape it's a dystopia with a corrupt government because of course it is, and she's hellbent on revenge and also has creation powers because that one person from My Hero Academia is cool." But after four years of workshopping it, that idea somehow became Ashes
These days I tend to make ocs based on anything but media. I've made an oc based off of a name, who I also made blind because why not. I've made ocs based off of simple concepts that usually spiral into something more. I've even made ocs based off of the SPECIES
There's more?? I think??? But the post is kinda long as is, and I think everything else answers that question
