If you're wondering, Sirius's Amazing House is in the Lake District, exact location unknown. The first photo's stolen from here but the very photogenic sheep is obviously my own, since no one on the internet has apparently realised the sheep are the key attraction of the region. Anyway, it's really beautiful. I sort of hate Sirius for living there.
Read the latest chapter of The Everydays on AO3.

I wasn't going to add anything else to this series, but then it was summer and too hot to write anything plotty, and so... Also, if you never write the Harry spends the summer in Spinner's End fic, can you even say you write Severitus?
Some fun things to look forward to in this one:
very poor communication
more tired Severus, though he's emotionally rather physically tired this time round
bad co-parenting
a lot of adolescent reflection on the State of Things and an equal amount of adolescent snark
New chapters every Wednesday and Sunday. Check it out!

My goodness!!!! I just completed Time Left Today and what a masterpiece it was!! A rich full plot with heavy knock outs in the feels department, I scarcely remember a chapter that I hadn’t cried on especially in the later parts, man it was amazing … at some point I entertained the idea of hooking myself to an IV line just stop my self from getting dehydrated 😂 I’ll be starting on the sequel soon and I can’t wait to read more of your work!
Aah, thank you so much! I loved writing the story and it always makes me happy to hear from people who enjoyed it. But please get yourself a big container of whatever your drink of choice is before you start on the sequel. It's enough that Severus is doing a shoddy job taking care of himself ❤️

Hi! I wanted to say I loved Time Left Today. My favorite parts were how Harry actually acted like a little kid and Snape's relationship with Lily. It's one of my favorite Severitus fanfics!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️

Longyearbyen, as it appears in the recent chapter of How Soon Is Now (though when Harry visited, he would not have seen a single blade of grass).

The first chapter of the sequel to Time Left Today has been posted! If you liked the first story in the series, I hope you enjoy this one as well. There will be snow and there will be fun and there will be a fair bit of angst. Also, the Harry in this one has to be one of my favourite Harry’s I’ve written so far, even if he is... considerably less adorable now that he’s Basically Grown Up (he is thirteen).

#4 you said you had 2 notebooks worth of notes planning storyteller, can we see some pictures of some of the pages
any ones that you had a major light bulb moment developing a plot point, or things like that
Sorry for taking ages to answer this!
I actually went and dug up the Notebooks in Question, but even as I did so I knew it would not work. I could put up lots of pictures that would tell you nothing because they’re completely unintelligble. Usually it’s walls of scribbled stream-of-consciousness text that even I struggle to decipher after -- which isn’t an issue, because I actually read back through it very rarely, really only if I’ve had a longer break from working on the story. Usually it’s just a way to figure out what I need to figure out, and once it’s figured out I just remember it.
I’ve tried to pick out a couple pages that are a little clearer, mostly so that all the writers out there with bad handwriting and no artistic skill can see they’re not alone in the world.

#2 - are you planning on participating in hannigramtropefest, hannibal fanfic writing event? #4 - how much outlining did you have to do, and thought process put behind juggling the switching POVs for 'storyteller' #30 - do you plan on writing more hannibal fanfics in the future now that leviathan is finished?
Thank you for the ask!
#2 - I am considering it! I'm working on an HP story at the moment and I'm worried I won't have enough time to write something I'm happy with in time for the event... But then again it sounds like a lot of fun, so I might persuade myself to do it anyway before I miss the deadline ;)
#30 - I would like to, though I don't have any currently in the works. It's nice to mix it up a little, and I was actually going to take a break from Hannibal after Storyteller, but then Leviathan just sort of happened. Once I'm done-ish with the story I'm working on now, I'll probably come back with another Hannibal fic - I have a couple ideas floating around already!
#4 - under the cut for spoilers for The Storyteller, obviously.
You can probably imagine that the answer to how much outlining is A LOT. I have two notebooks' worth of notes for this one, which is certainly my personal record.
From what I recall, the whole thing actually started from the little stories Hannibal and Will tell each other - the bear and the hunter, the sharks, the deals with forest creatures, the lighthouse etc. - and I had the idea of these being Will's fever-induced delusions that start spilling out into Hannibal's world as season one progresses. It was originally meant to be entirely episodic, with every chapter focused on another story. But I liked the little story about the Other Will so much that I soon realised it needed to be the crux of the fic.
I deliberated over the answer to the question "is the Other Will real or is it Will being an asshole?" then decided I wanted to supply enough evidence for it being kind of both, and then it became obvious I needed what I referred to as the "Fingersmith structure" (not the only book that follows this model, but that's the one I thought of because it's so much fun), where we swap POVs halfway through the story to show an entirely different and more complete perspective on what the hell has been going on. When I realised this, I became a little angry honeslty because it meant the whole thing would have to be twice as long.
And then Abigail's POV was entirely unplanned. I just realised while writing that we needed to see some sort of conclusion to her story, and while I'm sure she's better off, it was a bit of a downer for her to just disappear from Hannibal's life. This way, at least we got to see the way that Hannibal's influence is reflected in her life in Florence.

Chapter 12 of Leviathan is up. I have no pictures today, so instead here’s the song I’ve pulled Will’s new identity’s name from. It has little to do with the fic, really, but it’s a banger.

#7!
#7: Which part of writing do you struggle with most?
Easy! Starting! Starting a new story, starting a new chapter, starting a new writing session. It fills me with nothing but Dread and Terror. It helps to know exactly where I’m going with the particular bit to be written, and much like stage fright it goes away once I’ve actually started... but I have not yet found any real cure. Alcohol, maybe? It seemed to work fine for Hemingway, so why not me?
