Thank you so so much for bringing this to my attention. I didn't even know this was happening, it was totally done without my permission. That's really sad. I'm really grateful to everyone who helped report this account and alerted the original writers about what was happing.
#don't steal other people's work
okay so i’ve found a book on wattpad that has tumblr translations. however there is no list of who wrote the stories so i’m nervous that these authors don’t know what’s happened.
the stories are:
Heal The Pain ⎯ Lee Know Love in Cheese ⎯ Han Jisung I Think He Knows ⎯ Yang Jeongin The Girl with a Pretty Smile ⎯ Seo Changbin Coffee for Two ⎯ Bang Chan Text Me ⎯ Hwang Hyunjin
if this is all a fluke then i apologise for scaring everyone, but considering the amount of wattpad books found this week alone to be stealing peoples work i am a little wary.

"Get up."
"Go away." you whined, covering your head with the blanket as Minho, your roommate and best friend, barged into your room, turning on the lights without the slightest consideration for your poor eyes.
"I said get up."
"And I told you to go away."
Minho huffed. "Stop acting like a baby and get your ass out of bed."
"Such a gentleman." you remarked sarcastically.
"I'm serious." he sighed while pulling the blanket off your head. "You haven't left the house in days. You're missing classes, and I know you're not eating properly. You can't keep doing this."
Although you didn't want to admit it, you knew he was right. After all, you couldn't spend the rest of your life hiding in your room, even if the thought was so deliciously tempting.
But the open wound in your heart hurts like hell.
It had been almost two weeks since you found out your boyfriend had been cheating on you with his best friend for God knows how long.
And the worst part is that you only found out because you were planning him a surprise visit.
You remembered like it was yesterday the day he texted canceling your date because he  wasn't feeling so well. So, like a fool, you bought his favorite chocolates and went to his apartment, only to find him all entangled with his best friend in bed.
When you got home, all you could remember was bursting into tears in Minho's arms. He was so confused, but he didn't hesitate to involve your shaking body in a protective embrace, soothing you with sweet words whispered in your ears.
Since that catastrophic day, you had isolated yourself in your room, hoping if you cried your heart out, the nasty pain in your heart would fade away.
"Y/n... please, don't cry." you snapped out of your thoughts upon hearing Minho's concerned voice.
You hadn't even noticed you were crying again. How pathetic.
"It hurts, Min." you muttered through your tears.
"I know, honey. Come here."
Carefully, Minho lay beside you, adjusting the blankets to cover his body as well. He laced his arm around your waist, bringing you closer to him so he could place a sweet peck on your temple.
"Let's go out for a bit, hm? Being stuck in this room isn't doing you well. You're paler than Edward Cullen."
You couldn't help but chuckle, making Minho's heart flutter in his chest. He missed you so much.
"Well, maybe if I stay here a little longer, I'll turn into a vampire. That'd be nice, right?" you joked.
He shook his head in disgust. "Nops. I can't risk it. I know how irresistible I am. If you turn into a vampire, you'll want to suck all my precious and sweet blood, and that's a big no in my dictionary."
"Always so cocky." You rolled your eyes while he laughed.
Rising his hand, he affectionately wiped away the remaining tears in your eyes.
"I'm an idiot, aren't I?" you muttered, letting your insecurity speak louder.
Minho frowned. He hated hearing you talk about yourself like that.
"Hey, look at me." you did what he asked, seeing he was already staring at you. "Don't ever say that again. I want you to know it’s okay to cry. You're hurt, and it's fine to feel down. But you can't let that stop you from getting on with your life, okay?"
You sighed. "I just wanna know what I did wrong."
"What the hell are you talking about?" he paused, looking at you dumbfounded. "Please, don't tell me you're blaming yourself for what happened."
"No, it's not that." you averted your eyes while biting your lips. That was all the answer Minho needed to know you were lying.
"I can't believe this." he sighed, feeling the blood rushing through his veins. "I swear, I'll fucking beat the shit out of that asshole the next time I see him."
"Minho!"  you said in a warning tone, but he only snorted.
"Look, I'm gonna tell you something, and you’re gonna listen, okay? What happened... none of that is your fault. He's just a scumbag who doesn't deserve you. Do you hear me? You're not responsible for his actions."
"But, Min-"
"It's his loss. He's never gonna find no one like you. Any guy would be lucky to have you as a girlfriend."
The room fell into a silence while the both of you stared at each other under the covers.
You didn't know, but there was a lump forming in Minho's throat as he realized he might just have revealed too much of his own feelings towards you in his little rambling.
It was no secret to anyone that Lee Minho was utterly and truthfully in love with you. Well, to anyone but you.
He had no idea when his feelings for you had changed. All he knew was that in one day he was just your best friend, and in the next, he found himself gazing at your lips and imagining how good it would be to feel them against his own.
“Did you eat anything today?” Minho asked, trying to distract his mind. He knew he'd do something he would regret if he kept thinking about your lips.
You shook your head, making him sigh loudly.
“Lucky for you, I know you very well and knew you were gonna say that. Stay here. I'll get your dinner.”
"But-"
"No, don't even try." Minho cut you off, already getting up from your bed. “You'll eat the delicious dinner I made especially for you, even if I have to shove it down your throat.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to hide the smile on the corner of your lips.
It didn't take long for Minho to return, carrying a large bowl of soup in his hands. You just watched as he sat beside you on the edge of the bed, gesturing with his head for you to sit too.
You couldn't deny it, the soup smelled delicious, and you knew it would taste just as good. Minho was an excellent cook, after all. But you couldn't help but grimace when your stomach churned.
Minho brought the spoon to your mouth, grinning evilly. “Say ahh.”
"Minho, I think I'm big enough to eat on my own."
"The plane won't be able to land if you keep your mouth shut." he remarked playfully, still with that damn smile on his lips. He was enjoying this way too much.
"I hate you." opening your mouth, you let him feed you.
“No, you don't. You looove me.” he hummed in a teasing voice.
You rolled your eyes and took the spoon from his hand. "I may love you, but you're still an annoying dork."
Minho choked, but quickly broke into a tight-lipped smile, trying to disguise his nervousness. Swallowing hard, he decided to let you eat in silence.
His heart was pounding so fast that for a second, he feared it was going to slip out of his mouth. He tried to calm down, recalling himself that you had only said that in a platonic way.
"It was delicious, MinMin. Thank you." you said softly after finishing the whole bowl in your hands.
He scoffed, feeling his cheeks and ears burn. "Don't call me that."
"You can lie to yourself all you want. I know you secretly love it." you giggled, poking his waist with your foot.
"I think you forgot to take your anti-delulu pills." he smirked, tickling your foot.
"Stop!" you whined, earning an evil laugh from him.
"We should go out." he said suddenly, catching you off guard. You tried to ignore the tingly in your stomach.
"What?"
“I wasn't kidding when I said you were pale as fuck. You need to get out of the house a little, you know? Get some sun on your face.”
You glance at him, an expressionless look on your face. “Minho, it's 8 pm. What sun do you want me to get?”
“Alright, let's get some moonlight then, whatever. You only need to get out for a bit.”
You smiled sadly. "I think you're right. That really would do me good."
"Of course I'm right." he scoffed. “I'm always right.”
“Oh, shut up.” you grinned, pushing his chest tenderly. “But can we do that tomorrow? I just want to stay in bed a little longer before I have to face the outside world again, you know?”
Minho smiled softly. He approached you, taking your empty plate and placing it on the bedside table before taking your hands, running his thumb gently through your knuckles.
"We can do whatever you want, love."
Not wanting to cry again, you threw yourself in his arms, hiding your head in the crook of his neck. It didn't take long for his sweet and familiar scent to intoxicate all your senses.
To you, Minho smelled like home.
When you felt his fingers trailing down your back with the utmost care, tracing random patterns along their way, you couldn't help but sigh in contentment.
"Y/n..." Minho said so quietly that if it weren't for the silence in the room, you would have missed it.
Pulling back just enough to meet his eyes, you hummed, feeling a little dizzy as you realized how close your faces were.
The way Minho looked at you with so much care and fondness made you lose your breath for a second. There was something else in his gaze, an intense feeling that you couldn't quite pinpoint, but it made butterflies dance in your belly.
A current of electricity seemed to shoot through your entire body when Minho's gaze shifted to your lips. What the hell was happening to you, and why did you feel like you were about to combust?
Minho brought one of his hands to your face, caressing it gently. His own heart was about to explode in his chest. The way you were looking at him with those beautiful eyes that outshadow any star was driving him crazy.
The only thing he wanted was to throw all rationality into the air and kiss your lips until he was breathless.
The only thing he wanted was to love you the way you deserved to be loved.
He wanted to hold you in his arms forever and kiss all your tears away, helping you heal little by little your precious heart.
"I... I lov-"
Minho tried to blurt out the words he wanted to tell you for so long, but his mouth was as dry as a desert, preventing him from speaking.
Why did he have to be such a coward?
"Min?" you whispered, concern lacing your voice.
He took a deep breath, gathering all the courage he could muster, but his attention was suddenly diverted to the puffiness in your eyes. He swears he felt his heart being ripped into tiny pieces.
"I think we should sleep a little. You're tired, right? We're going to have a long day tomorrow." he smiled, trying to push away the sadness in his chest.
For some reason, you felt disappointed at hearing his words.
Thousands of thoughts were running through your head at the speed of light, leaving you completely confused and lost. Why were you so disappointed? And why were you feeling so nervous yet so calm at the same time because of Minho's presence?
Not trusting your voice, you simply nodded.
Hours later, when you were fast asleep in his arms, head resting comfortably on his chest, Minho allowed himself to let out a long frustrated sigh.
As much as he wanted to confess his feelings and shout to the whole world he was in love with you, he couldn't.
At least not now.
Gosh, you were still recovering from a broken heart! What was he thinking? It wouldn't be fair of him to dump his feelings on you like that.
You were vulnerable and confused. You needed a friend now and not a new boyfriend. He wouldn't risk losing you just because of his selfishness.
Admiring your peaceful sleeping face, he let it slip through his lips the three little words he was dying to say, hoping the day he'll have the courage to confess them aloud wouldn't take so long.
But for now, he was content in being your best friend. For now, he was happy just being able to be by your side.

spark in your eyes
Tumblr media
Pairing: Felix x F!reader
Genre: angst, fluff, hurt/comfort
Summary: Fights were rare in your relationship with Felix, but sometimes they were inevitable, leaving both of you with a broken heart.
Warning: some swearing, arguments, slight mention of getting burn

Tumblr media
The sky was dark as ink. The clock on your bedside table marked 3 a.m., yet, despite that, you were tossing and turning in your bed like a madwoman trying to find a comfortable position to sleep.
Your eyes were heavy, and your body begged for a well-deserved rest after a tiring day, but your damn brain refused to shut down. Groaning in frustration, you hid your head under the fluffy pillow. All you wanted to do was sleep to forget about your problems. Was that really asking too much?
For the umpteenth time, as soon as you closed your eyes images of the recent fight you had with your boyfriend flashed through your head like a horror movie. The yells, the tears, the painful words… everything swirled in your head like a whirlwind of images and sounds.
It had been hours since Felix had left your home, but the pain was still fresh. The puffiness in your eyes a clear sign of how much you had cried.
It all started with a simple request. Once again, Felix had arrived late at your apartment, looking extremely exhausted. The spark in his eyes that you loved so much was gone, being replaced by a deep emptiness.
He was overworking himself again. You had known that for weeks, but decided to stay quiet, taking care of him from afar. But that night, something in his gaze made you finally break.
What was supposed to be a simple conversation quickly escalated into a heated argument. Amidst so many yells and bitter words, the reason for the fight was lost, making you both hurt each other by saying things you didn't mean at all.
Concluding that it was useless trying to sleep in that state, you threw away the covers and walked towards the kitchen, hoping that a good cup of tea would be enough to knock you out into dreamland.
However, your entire plan was long forgotten as soon as you heard muffled cries coming from the living room.
The room was dark, lit only by the soft light coming through the windows. But even in the darkness you could distinguish Felix's trembling figure sitting on the floor, back leaning against the sofa and head buried in his hands. Almost instantly, guilt flooded through your chest, your breath caught in your throat making it hard to breathe.
With a sinking heart, you slowly approached him. A sad smile spread across your lips at remembering the countless times you had unintentionally startled him. He was just like a frightened cat.
“Lix?” you whispered softly.
Not expecting to hear your voice, Felix abruptly turned around to face you. Another pang shot through your chest at seeing how broken he looked. His hair was a mess, and his whole posture seemed to scream how tired he was. But the worst part was his eyes. They were puffed and red, lifeless, with heavy bags under them.
“Y/n?” he muttered, voice a little husky. You watched as he quickly dried his tears with the sleeve of his sweatshirt, trying to hide the obvious. "Did I wake you? Sorry, t-that wasn't my intention.”
Unsure about what to say or do next, you decided to sit next to him on the floor, keeping a safe distance between you two.
Normally, you wouldn't hesitate to wrap him in a tight hug and comfort him, making sure to wash away all his sorrow with sweet kisses and soothing words. But this wasn't a normal situation. The aftermath of the fight was still echoing on the walls of your small apartment, the heartache was still there.
"I thought you were going to spend the night in the dorm." you said, insecure lacing your voice.
Felix sniffed, a tiny smile on his lips that didn't reach his sad eyes. “I was, but the sky is cloudy, and it looks like it's gonna rain. I know how much you hate being alone when it's raining, so... yeah. I just didn't wanna leave you alone."
You nodded, feeling a warm sensation creeping through your cheeks.
You didn't deserve him. Even after all the harsh words you yelled in his face, he was still there for you. The hurt reflected in his eyes was as clear as day. You knew Felix was suffering as much as you were, but he had still chosen to be there by your side.
"You didn't." you said, breaking the awkward silence. “You didn't wake me, I mean. I was going to make tea… do you want some?” you asked unsurely.
Felix stared deeply into your eyes but quickly looked away. "Sure."
Relieved, you appreciated the opportunity to get away from there. The tension between the two of you was almost palpable, and you hated that. You wanted nothing more than to throw yourself into his arms and leave it all behind, but things weren't that easy. The memories were still fresh, and words cut as deep as knives.
"Need help?" You turned around and saw Felix standing in the kitchen doorway, staring at you with longing. Damn, you missed him. Pushing away all your insecurities, you gave him a small smile, nodding your head.
You worked in silence, still cautious of each other's presence, both too afraid to say the wrong thing and end up dissolving that little moment of calmness.
You were distracted pouring the tea into the mugs when the first thunder rumbled loudly outside. Startled, you jumped in fear, making the hot tea splatter on your hand. The small cry that left your lips caught Felix's attention immediately. In a matter of seconds, he was at your side, taking your right hand in his.
"Gosh! Are you okay?" he asked worriedly after seeing small red spots on your skin. “Shit, that was freaking hot.”
“It's nothing, I'm fine." you shrugged, "It was just a few drops."
"Fuck! You're hurt.” you furrowed your forehead in worry at seeing tears well up in Felix's eyes.
"Fe-"
“Stay here, okay?” he interrupted you, voice shaking slightly. "I'll get the first aid kit."
Before he could leave, you grabbed his arm, forcing him to face you. "Felix, no. I'm fine."
He shook his head in denial, tears now falling freely from his eyes. "No. You're not. That's all my fault. I'm sorry, sunshine. I'm so so sorry."
Without a second thought, you wrapped him in your arms, letting him hide his head in the crook of your neck. Salty tears burned in the corner of your own eyes, it was heartbreaking seeing him, who was always so happy and smiley, so utterly broken like that.
Felix cried harder as he felt your hand running through his hair, comforting him in a way that words never could. You were right, he felt exhausted, but the demands he imposed on himself prevented him from taking time to recover his energy.
He felt as if he had finally reached his limit. That he had finally fallen from the tightrope he was so vehemently trying to keep standing. But now he understood that he didn't have to be afraid of the fall because you were right there to catch him.
"I'm sorry, petal." he murmured against your neck, fighting back the tears. "You're just worried about me, and I behaved like a complete idiot. I swear, I didn't mean any of that."
You sighed softly.
“Baby, look at me.” you said in a calm tone. Felix shyly pulled away from you just enough so your eyes could meet. "I hope you know you're not the only one who said things you didn't mean to. Yes, I'm worried about you, but that doesn't justify the way I acted. I'm sorry, love."
He cupped your cheek lovingly, staring at you as if you were the most precious thing in the world. To him, you really were. He closed the distance between you, slowly moving his lips over yours. Words weren't needed at that moment. Through that kiss, you both shared all the unspoken words, all the sadness, regret, care and love you felt for each other.
You tangled your fingers in his soft blonde locks, pulling him closer to you. Felix's free hand softly traveled up your sides, making a breathless, almost inaudible moan leave your mouth. He sighed, deepening the kiss, melting under your touch.
You could feel his heart racing against your body as you placed open mouth kisses on his sharp jaw, slowly going down to his neck. It didn't take long for his lips to seek yours again, sealing them in a sweet kiss.
"I love you." he confessed quietly, placing a tender kiss on your temple. "We're going to be fine, right?"
"I don't have the slightest doubt about that."
And you knew that was true just by seeing the beaming smile that spread across his lips. The sparkle that you loved so much back in his beautiful eyes. Yes, you didn't have to worry, you two would be fine.

Love In Cheese
Tumblr media
Pairing: Han Jisung x F!reader
Genre: fluff, delivery boy!jisung
Summary: After a long tiring day at college, all you wanted to do was lie on your couch and curse the world for being so unfair. However, your luck drastically changed, all thanks to an empty fridge, a cheese pizza, and a cute yet very clumsy delivery boy - that stole your heart without you even noticing it.
Warning: some swearing
Words: 4.2k
Author's Note: Hey sweets, how you doing? I hope you like this! English is not my first language so I’m sorry for any grammar errors.
Tumblr media
You closed the door of your house, walking straight towards the living room in small steps. You threw your heavy bag on the floor and plopped down on the couch, allowing your tired body to rest.
Friday had finally arrived after what felt like the longest week of your life. To say you were tired was an understatement. If you had to describe how you felt, you'd say that your soul had probably left your body sometime in the middle of the week, leaving behind only an empty carcass.
For the thousandth time that day, you wondered if all the stress caused by college was really worth it. Between student council meetings, tutoring the students, and dozens of assignments you still had to do, you were slowly losing your head. Why couldn't life be like in The Princess Diaries? Where was your lost grandmother to take you to Genovia and reveal you were a filthy rich princess?
Taking a deep breath, you came to the conclusion that life wasn't fair.
Your head throbbed, but that was nothing compared to the hole sitting in your stomach. Through the window, you could see the sun setting on the horizon. You barely remembered when was the last time you ate. Probably early in the morning, where you only had time to drink a glass of orange juice in one gulp before rushing off to college. As the president of the student council, you couldn't afford to be late. You know the rules: 'be a good example', 'be responsible' and blah blah blah.
Gathering all your remaining strength, you decided to go find something that could satisfy your hunger. Nonetheless, minutes later, a low whine escaped through your lips while you stared at the empty shelves of your fridge.
You mentally cursed yourself for forgetting to shop. Sometimes living alone had its downsides. Apparently, if you didn't buy food, your fridge wouldn't magically refill itself. Life really wasn't fair.
With no other option – no, going to the grocery store wasn't an option –, you took your phone and called the familiar number of the pizza parlor your best friend worked at, hoping he'd be the one to pick up the call and not Minho. That little devil seemed to find pleasure in denying you your well-deserved discounts.
“Domino's Pizza, how can I help you?”
“Seungmin!” You shouted excitedly at hearing your friend's voice.
“Do you really need to scream in my ear every single time? You're gonna make me go deaf one of these days.”
"Rude. I'm just happy to hear the voice of my favorite person in this entire world. I miss you so much.”
“Firstly, we last saw each other 4 hours ago. And secondly…” He took a deep breath, pretending to be disappointed with your tactics. “We both know you’re lying. You just want to please me to get a discount. Like always.”
You gasped, "That’s so untrue. I can't believe you'd say that."
“Y/n.” He warned.
“It's been 5 hours since you last saw me, I mean. Are you not counting? I'm disappointed in you, Kim Seungmin.”
“Y/n.”
“Okay, okay. You won. You’re right, I’m wrong. Happy? But you know I love you with all my heart, right?”
Even without seeing him, you could practically see Seungmin rolling his eyes. He sighed in defeat, "I hate you. What do you want? The usual?"
“Yep. You know me so well.”
"Sometimes I wish I didn't." He mumbled like a frustrated child, making you laugh. “The manager will kill me if he finds out how much discount you get per month.”
"C'mon! I order there almost every weekend. I think I deserve a good discount for being such a loyal customer.”
"No. You're only loyal ‘cause that’s the closest pizzeria to your house, which makes the delivery fee cheaper. Not to mention you're too lazy to get your sorry ass off the couch and go buy your own food somewhere else.”
You rolled your eyes, breaking into a wide smile. “It all depends on the point of view, my dear Watson.”
“Whatever. I don't get paid enough to care. Your pizza arrives in 10 minutes.” He hastily said before hanging up the phone.
While the pizza didn't arrive, you decided to take a quick shower. Unfortunately, the hot water wasn't able to ease your headache, but it did make the tense muscles on your body relax a little.
You had just sat down on the couch to watch a movie, your hair still a little wet, when the doorbell rang.
Hungry, you ran toward the door, your greetings to Felix already on the tip of your tongue, but what you saw took you by surprise. It was, shall we say... a very intriguing scene.
The Domino's bike was parked in front of your house, where a boy – who definitely wasn't Felix – struggled to open the compartment where the pizzas were kept. He wore the classic white shirt and red cap of the pizzeria uniform. A thin layer of sweat covered his forehead, the tip of his tongue pressed between his lips in a grimace of concentration.
Noticing he was being watched, he froze and stared back at you like a deer caught in headlights. His doe eyes were open wide, making the nervousness in them clearly visible. His hands trembled discreetly.
It was only then that you realized you knew him. He went to the same college as you, and even though you didn't share any classes, he shared some with Seungmin. Both of them were friends, but you two had never really talked, only exchanged polite smiles and quick good mornings when you met in the hallways.
Even so, you couldn't deny that you always thought he was cute.
“H-hi!” He said uncertainty, voice cracking slightly. “My name is pizza. I came to bring your Han.”
He flashed you a big smile that made his whole face light up. You struggled to contain a laugh.
"I don't think I paid for any Han, but if he's cute like you, Mr. Pizza, I'd certainly take it."
You didn't know where this surge of courage had come from. Usually, you were a wreck at that sort of thing, but something about the way his cheeks flushed made your heart leap triumphantly in your chest. Perhaps, being a little bold sometimes had its perks.
He threw his head back and covered his face with his hands, letting out a long sigh. “Idiot! Really, Jisung? Really?” He mumbled to himself. “Why did I say that? I promised I wouldn't mess up anymore, but the universe isn't helping me! Did my first delivery really have to be for a pretty girl like her? That's not helping me at all!"
"Oh, you think I'm pretty?" You asked in a teasing tone, ignoring, at least for now, the way your heart missed a few beats.
“What?” He yelled, panic flowing through his veins. He shyly scratched his neck. “Crap! I was talking out loud this whole time, wasn’t I?
“Yeah, kind of.”
He whimpered and lowered his head, trying, unsuccessfully, to hide the strong blush on his cheeks.
You grinned, deciding to end the suffering of the poor boy in front of you. You walked over to the bike compartment, skillfully releasing the latches that kept it from opening during the ride.
He looked at you in awe, making you giggle. "There you go! Han Jisung, right?”
“Y-yes. But how do you kno-” His voice slowly faded away as the realization of who you were hit him like a bucket of cold water. He felt his nervousness increase exponentially. “Y-you're Y/n, right? Seungmin’s friend.”
You nodded.
"H-how did you...how..." He tried to say, looking between you and the pizza compartment.
“Oh, this?” You shrugged. “I've seen Felix, the other delivery boy, do this a million times. Don't worry, it really is a little hard to open.”
Jisung felt a warm sensation wash through his body. He knew you were just saying that to comfort him, the way you opened that thing, in a blink of an eye, was proof enough to him.
Before his brain could start to crucify him for being such an idiot, you opened the kindest smile he had ever seen in his life, making him forget for a second about everything, even his own name.
"Sorry. It's my first day. I think I'm still a little lost.” He confessed, shyly.
"Don't worry. I get why you're so tense, the first day really sucks. I remember one time when I helped my aunt in her coffee shop. I was a total disaster! Man, those coffee machines are no joke.” You laughed, shaking your head. “I walked out of there soaked in coffee and with a piece of cake stuck in my hair. I still don't know how it got there.”
You were so distracted remembering the past that you missed the fond look Jisung gave you.
He knew it was crazy, he barely knew you, but he felt so comfortable in your presence. There you were, exposing an embarrassing situation in your life just to make him feel better. Not even his own friends would do that for him, and even if they did, it'd only be after laughing their ass off.
When your eyes met again, you smiled timidly. "Sorry, I'm talking too much."
"It's alright. It's good to know I'm not the only clumsy one in this town." He winked at you, making you both laugh. "Right, let me get your pizza."
You looked with amusement at the way Jisung awkwardly pulled the stack of pizzas out of the compartment. As he struggled to balance the boxes in his arms, you couldn't help but notice the way his muscles flexed under his tight shirt.
"Here!" He said excitedly, handing you a pizza box.
Again, you tried to hide your laugh, not wanting to embarrass him even more. "Hm, how can I say that... That's not my pizza."
“Hmm?” He stared at you, confused, subtly cocking his head to the side.
"Here, let me help you."
You approached him, placing the pizza he had given you on the top of the pile of boxes he was holding and reaching for another one further down. You showed him the tag attached to the side of the box.
“As much as I love pepperoni, I'm sure the owner of this pizza wouldn't be so happy if I stole it from him. I ordered a cheese pizza.”
His eyes widened so much that for a moment you thought they would pop out of his face. He let out a long whine, lips pouting cutely.
“I should quit this job. I'm a disaster."
"No, you’re doing good. Don't be so hard on yourself, these things happen." You gently shoved his free arm, trying to cheer him up.
"No. I'm the worst pizza delivery boy in the history of pizza delivery boys.” He threw his head back in a dramatic gesture.
“Now you're just being dramatic. Come on, you're not that bad. Look at the bright side! At least you didn't drop any pizza!” You watched as he withered, a glint of guilt in his eyes. “Oh my God, you dropped a pizza?”
He sighed, “Two, to be exact. My manager said he'd fire me if it happened again.”
"Shit!"
“But it wasn't my fault! Well, not entirely.” He hastened to say. “Someone didn't tie the boxes properly before handing them to me. The boxes decided to jump to their death, they committed suicide, I couldn't do anything!”
You knew it was wrong, but you couldn't hold back your laughter any longer. Even sulking, Jisung couldn't stop the butterflies from roaming freely in his stomach at the melodic sound of your laugh.
He didn't know what it was. Maybe it was the way your still wet hair fell graciously over your shoulders. Or the way your eyes gleamed in the sun. Perhaps it was the form you poorly tried to control your laughter to not embarrass him. Jisung couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was, but he found himself completely fascinated by you.
"I'm sorry." You said, breathless. "I shouldn't have laughed."
"It's okay. It's kinda funny." He shrugged and cracked a smile, not wanting you to feel guilty about something so silly. "So... hm... how's college?"
You groaned. "Terrible. I was seriously considering dropping everything.”
"What?" He yelled, surprised. “No, you can't do that! I mean, of course you can, but you're so smart and brilliant-”
"Why do you think that?" You interrupted him, confused.
“I don’t think that, I know that. You're the student council president! And, as if that wasn't enough, you're always offering help to students who are struggling with their studies, even being super busy with your own things. Actually, you helped a friend of mine, his name’s Jeongin. Man, he got so happy when he passed his economics test. And that was all thanks to you. So, yes, you're really cool.”
“Some people would call me boring or a snobby know-it-all.” You muttered, feeling embarrassed under his intense gaze. You weren't used to receiving compliments.
“Well, those people are a bunch of losers, in my humble opinion. Don't listen to them. You're amazing.”
"Thanks, Jisung. It means a lot to me." You smiled shyly, feeling the weight on your shoulders easing a little be.
He flashed you a warm smile. “Anytime! Well, guess I better get going before these pizzas get cold. I don't want th-"
At that moment, the world seemed to enter in slow motion mode right before your eyes. You watched as Jisung, without looking, took a step back and tripped over a hole in the sidewalk, causing him to lose his balance.
The stacked boxes swayed dangerously, but he quickly wrapped his other arm around them, keeping them from falling. However, the boxes at the top didn't get the same luck. They slid towards the floor, and Jisung, paralyzed by fear, just watched the scene unfold as a cruel kind of deja vu. He could already picture himself tomorrow morning, looking for another job to pay for his college tuition.
But, as a sort of capeless superhero, you held the boxes in your arms, saving them from their terrible future and, consequently, the job Jisung had fought so hard to get.
"You really need to be more careful." You muttered as you shook your head.
Relief surged through his chest. He wouldn't be fired. Like the Powerpuff girls, you had saved the day. He grinned so wide that his cheeks ached, but the happiness he felt was short-lived. It all came crashing down when he noticed that your cheese pizza was now lying on the floor, having fallen right into a puddle.
His heart sank into his stomach.
“Hey, are you okay?” You asked worriedly. His expression resembled an abandoned puppy.
"Your pizza..." He muttered so low that you almost didn't hear him.
Looking where his gaze was, you noticed for the first time that your pizza was thrown on the floor. It was still sealed, but it had fallen into a large puddle of water, remnants of the rain that had fallen earlier. You already could see the cardboard of the box falling apart.
"Oh, I must have dropped it while running to help you." You sadly said. "But it's okay, at least you won't get fired on your first day, right?"
Jisung shook his head. He couldn't understand how you could still smile after this. “But your pizza...”
“It's nothing. Forget it. Here, I'll help you. We don't want another accident.” Walking over to the bike, you carefully placed the pizzas back in the compartment, doing the same with the pizzas in Jisung's arms.
He watched it all silently, sadness floating in his eyes. Why did he have to be such an idiot? Why did he have to be so clumsy? How could he do that to you when you only show him kindness from the start? Those were the only things that crossed his mind.
"It's all my fault." He admitted, embarrassed. "I'm really sorry."
“Hey, relax. It's fine, I swear."
Amazingly, you weren't angry about what had happened. Of course you were sad because your hunger wouldn't be satisfied anytime soon, but you just couldn't get mad at Jisung, not when he was looking at you like that, with his doe eyes and fluffy cheeks.
You took the money from your pocket and handed it to him. “Here you go, you can keep the change.”
“W-what?” He almost screamed, making you startle a little. “No. I cannot accept this. I can't. Your pizza was ruined because of me, I-"
“Han, stop it. It was my fault, I had already received the pizza, and I was the one who threw it on the floor. Nothing fairer than paying for it.”
“No, you stop with your nonsense logic. It was my fault. I'll pay for your pizza and-"
Stubbornly, you took his hand in yours and gave him the money, forcing his fingers to close over the bills. You took the helmet off the bike's handle and put it gently on him, taking care to tie it securely.
Busy with your little task, you didn't notice how close you were to him, but Jisung certainly did. His body stiffened, breath catching in his throat. He just hoped you wouldn't hear the pounding of his heart or notice the slight shiver that ran down his spine every time your fingers brushed his skin.
"Okay. You're ready to go." You said satisfied, pushing him gently towards the bike.
"But I..."
“You talk too much. It was my fault, end of the story. Now go make your deliveries, Mr. Pizza.”
With a pang in his heart, he stood there while you picked the ruined pizza and walked towards your house. He tried to smile when you waved at him one last time before closing the door.
Tumblr media
After the disastrous encounter with the cute delivery boy, you threw away your pizza with a heavy heart, lamenting the amount of wasted cheese. But you didn't regret even for a minute the choice you made. You might not have a juicy cheese pizza, but knowing that Jisung still had his job was enough for you.
Fortunately, you found a lost package of ramen in the back of the cupboard. It wouldn't be a 5 Star Michelin meal, but that would be more than enough to kill the monster begging for food in your belly.
A while later, you were lying on your couch watching a random movie when you felt your phone vibrate, announcing two new messages from Seungmin.
Seungmin: Hey, idiot
Seungmin: I didn't know that besides stealing discounts you were stealing hearts too
You stared at your phone screen for a couple of seconds, trying to understand what your idiot best friend was talking about.
You: Are you drunk? I have no idea what you're talking about 🤔
Seungmin: Don't play innocent, miss. I'm talking about Han Jisung
You: Nope. I still don't get it
Seungmin: God, give me patience 🤦
Seungmin: Han came back from deliveries looking like a fool in love, saying that he had found the sweetest girl in the world, his guardian angel, his hero, whatever 🙄. He even kissed Minho's cheek before leaving!!!
You: And he's still alive?
Seungmin: Surprisingly, yes
You: Okay, but what do I have to do with it?
Seungmin: Omg 🤦🤦🤦 I must have killed a king in my past life to deserve this
Seungmin: He was talking about you, dumbass! How can you be so oblivious?
You: You don't know that
Seungmin: Yes, I know, 'cause he scolded me for not introducing you to him earlier
Shocked and with cheeks burning hot, you put your phone down, burying your face in the pillows to muffle your screams.
You were so distracted acting like a teenager in love that you jumped on the couch when you heard the doorbell ring. You looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 11 pm. Who would it be at this hour?
Not being stupid, you went to the kitchen and grabbed the most powerful weapon you had at the moment: a frying pan. You knew you were far from looking scary like Jason with his axe or Pennywise with his balloons, but at least you did have a weapon.
"Who is it?" You asked suspiciously.
“Hm, it's me... Han Jisung. The clumsy delivery boy. I don't know if you remember me, but-"
“How could I forget the boy who made me drop my precious pizza to save his job?” You said in a teasing tone as you opened the door.
You had to stop for a second to take in the image in front of you. There was Jisung, no longer dressed in the Domino's uniform, now he wore a blue hoodie with tight pants that defined his thick thighs well. His black hair was styled back, granting you a good view of his handsome face. Even from a distance, his strong perfume made you feel a little dizzy.
Damn! How could he get even more handsome?
"That's me." He chuckled. "Sorry again about that."
"Relax. I'm just kidding.” You said shyly, feeling suddenly insecure for being in only your pajamas in front of him.
“Are you serious? I thought you had changed your mind and wanted to fry me alive, especially with that frying pan in your hands, Rapunzel.” He said playfully, making you giggle.
"I'll let you know if I change my mind."
You shared a knowing smile and stood there, outside your house in the middle of the night, lost in each other's eyes as the moon shone above you.
"What's this?" You ask, noticing the pizza box he was holding. “Are you still working? I thought the pizzeria had already closed.”
He grinned sheepishly. "It is. Actually, I-I bought this for you. You know, to apologize for earlier. It's cheese pizza! And before you say otherwise, yes, it was totally and completely my fault.”
“Jisung, you didn't need to do this.” You whispered in awe.
“Yes, I did. I also wanted to thank you for saving my ass from getting fired. You truly were my hero today.” He smiled fondly.
“Stop being so dramatic. Anyone would have done the same.” You accept the pizza, trying to disguise the blush on your cheeks.
“You're very kind to think like that, but not everyone is an angel like you.”
Okay, what was going on? Where was that shy, clumsy boy from earlier? Your poor heart couldn't handle this.
“W-well, thanks for the pizza.” You broke the silence, not being able to think of anything smarter to say. "You really didn't have to."
“No problem. I wanted to do this because, after today, I'm sure you stole a pizza my heart.”
You frowned. His words entered your ears, but your brain was having trouble processing them. You definitely weren't expecting this.
“Hm…” He swallowed hard, running his hands through his hair. In a not-so-discreet manner, he took a small piece of paper from his jeans pocket, where was written what appeared to be phrased in a hasty handwriting. “Are you a pizza box? Because I can't wait to get your top off. NO WAIT-"
You couldn't hold on any longer. You suddenly burst out laughing.
Jisung waved his hands desperately, a thousand apologies slipping out of his lips. “Sorry, I didn't mean that. I didn't realize how bad that would sound out loud. I'm not a creepy, I promise. I didn't mean to disrespect you or make you uncomfortable, that's the last thing I want."
"It's fine." You reassured him, trying to catch your breath, stomach hurting from laughing so hard. “But what's with the pizza pick-up lines?”
"That was ridiculous, wasn't it?" He whimpered, slapping his forehead. “Sorry, I didn't mean it... Well, I did mean it, but not at all like that. I just wanted to get to know you better, but I didn't know exactly how to do that. I asked Seungmin for help and-“
“That was a terrible idea.” You stated, smiling gently.
"Now I know that." He whined. "He said it would be cool if I used pick-ups that involved pizza, 'cause... you know, I deliver pizzas." He rolled his eyes.
“You know, you could have just asked me out.” You teased softly.
"Sorry for hurting your ears with those stupid lines." He looked down, embarrassed, avoiding your gaze at all costs.
"Okay, I forgive you, but only if you accept to share this pizza with me." Despite your bold words, your heart felt like it was about to burst. "I-I think this is a little too big for me."
You scanned his face, trying to decipher what was going through his head. Nevertheless, all your insecurity and uncertainty instantly disappeared as his lips parted in a wide smile.
"There's nothing in the world that I want more than this." He finally said, eyes brighter than all the stars in the sky. "You know, I think you're a pizza, because I have this huge crust on you."
“Jisung, please. Just shut up.”
"Yes, ma'am. You don't have to say it twice.” He smirked playfully, a teasing gleam in his eyes. "But you wanna hear a joke about pizza?"
"Han Jisung..."
"Nevermind, it’s too cheesy."

The (almost) Perfect Date
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hwang Hyunjin x F!reader
Genre: fluff
Summary: Due to his busy schedule, you and Hyunjin weren't having enough time to spend together. To change that, Hyunjin planned out the perfect date for you, too bad you were extremely sick and refused to tell him.
Warning: some swearing and mentions of vomiting.
Words: 3.5k
Author's Note: Hey guys, Happy New Year!! I've been a little busy with my new job, but here's something I wrote over this holiday. I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Hyunjin missed you.
With countless rehearsals and recordings stretching on for hours, Hyunjin was so busy that he barely had time to see you in person. The fact that you were also occupied with your part-time job and college didn't make things any easier.
Nonetheless, even with all those obstacles in the way, both of you tried your best to exchange at least a few messages through the day, even if it was only a simple 'good morning' or 'how are you?' text. On a good day, you were able to talk by video call, but, most of the time, Hyunjin was so tired that he could barely keep his eyes open for five minutes.
Hyunjin hated this.
His heart sank in his chest every time he was forced to cancel a date with you at the last minute. Guilt chewed him inside, but there was nothing he could do about it. He felt like he wasn't having enough time for you, and that was totally unacceptable to him.
He wasn't dumb. He saw how much his career affected you, even though you denied it, saying you understood the trials that came with dating him and that you were okay with it. But it wasn't okay. At least not for him. The blunt truth is that Hyunjin feared the moment you would realize he wasn't worth all the work. That he wasn't good enough for you.
You were an angel in his life. Always so kind and understanding, willing to listen and support him without thinking twice. You were there in his most difficult times, helping him see the light amid so much darkness.
And that's why he planned out the best and most perfect date ever as soon as he managed to find time in his hectic schedule.
He already had everything planned out down to the smallest detail. He would take you to see the new movie you were dying to see with your favorite actor, but first, you would have dinner at the restaurant you used to frequent.
After that, you'd walk around the city, exploring places you never visited before. He'd take the opportunity to give you little presents, buying everything and anything that caught your attention at the stores on your way. Lastly, he'd take you to stargaze, where you would spend the rest of the night just enjoying each other's presence.
And that's why you did what you did. Knowing how excited Hyunjin was with your date, you didn't find the courage to tell him how extremely sick you were.
A couple of days ago, you lost track of time while studying at the library, not realizing it had started to rain outside and how late it was. To increase your bad luck, your phone had run out of battery. Without being able to call an Uber, you got home after half an hour, soaked and shaking like an angry pinscher.
And now, you felt as if you had been run over by a fucking train.
You got rid of the two thick blankets that covered your body and got out of bed to fix the mess that was your hair. Your body vehemently protested with every move you made, sending a burning pain through all your limbs. Even breathing hurt at that point.
You took longer than usual to get ready because hiding the paleness of your face and the deep dark circles under your eyes wasn't an easy task. If there was a prize for whoever looked more like Samara, the girl from The Ring movie, you would surely win without a doubt.
The big problem was, Hyunjin knew you better than anyone. If he suspected you weren't okay, he'd call off the date immediately and force you to spend the rest of the night trapped in your bed.
You refused with all your might to let that happen. This was important to Hyunjin, this was important to you, and you wouldn't ruin it even if pigs started flying.
The ringing of the doorbell echoed through your apartment, making you grunt. Your stomach churned, but you took a deep breath, holding back the urge to puke your organs out of your body.
"Hi!" You said a little breathlessly when you opened the door and saw Hyunjin standing there with all his surreal beauty. You still had a hard time believing he was yours.
"Hi, gorgeous. This is for you!" Hyunjin softly said, handing you a bouquet of red roses.
Your lips stretched into a smile, but the strong scent of the roses invaded your nose, making you sneeze.
"Are you okay?" He asked, confused.
"Couldn't be better!" You smiled. "They're beautiful, Hyun.”
"Said the girl who looks like a work of art." He said sweetly, wrapping his long arms around your waist.
You felt your cheeks heat up.
"Stop it! You're making me shy."
"So my plan is working." He winked before leaning in, bringing your lips together in a gentle kiss.
You missed his kisses so much. There was something about Hyunjin that always made you feel intoxicated, yearning for more of his soft caresses and sweet touch. But your brain quickly cleared as you remembered how sick you were. Shit!
You put your hands on his chest and abruptly pushed him away, making Hyunjin look at you in confusion. A little pout still on his pink lips.
"Hum, I think we should go." You nervously said. He gave you a suspicious look, making you start to say the first thing that popped into your head. “You made a reservation at the restaurant, didn't you? You know how strict they are with punctuality. We can't be late.”
"They know me. I'm sure they won't mind if we're a little late." Hyunjin smiled, leaning in your direction again.
You needed to think fast.
You bent down and dodged his arms, walking fast towards the kitchen. "I better put the flowers in the water before they wither."
You filled a glass with water and placed the flowers, trying to ignore the piercing look Hyunjin was giving you.
"Shall we go?"
He shook his head, "No. I still haven't got my kiss!"
“Don't be a baby. We’re already late." You took his hand, leading him towards the building's elevator.
"Y/n!" He groaned in protest.
"We'll have plenty of time for this later."
"You promise?" He asked hopefully, lips forming a small pout.
"Yes, I promise."
"Okay. But how about a quick peck?”
“No, Hyunjin.”
The ride to the restaurant was pleasant at first. You talked about your week, catching up with what was happening in your daily life. Hyunjin told you about how Jisung ran into a glass door after laughing at Felix for doing the same thing. That made you laugh out loud, something you hadn't done in a while.
Everything was perfect. You already felt better just by being in the comforting presence of your boyfriend. Yet, fate liked to play tricks when you least expected it.
Everything went downhill when Hyunjin made a sharp turn that made your nausea come back ten times worse. At every turn, your stomach twisted unpleasantly, but you struggled to cover it up and continue the conversation.
Hyunjin was beaming, his eyes shone brighter than the stars themselves, and a smile seemed to be glued at the corner of his lips. There's no way in hell you would spoil that.
"I asked them to prepare your favorite dish!" Hyunjin excitedly stated as you sat at the restaurant table.
You grimace. Well, let's just say your favorite dish wasn't really that recommended by nutritionists since the amount of fried food in it could be seen as a crime against health.
You tried to recover from your little slip, but it was already too late. Hyunjin widened his eyes and rushed to say, “But if you want to order something else, it's okay, seriously. I'm sorry, I thought you might want it. You always order the same thing, and I wanted to surprise you."
"Hyunjin, it's fine."
"Really?" He questioned, staring at you with his innocent eyes, looking like a child afraid to be scolded by his mother.
“Of course, baby. It was very kind of you.” You caressed his hand that rested on the table, trying to soothe him.
He smiled with a twinkle in his eyes, "Anything for you, my love."
You forced a smile to your lips, hoping he wouldn't notice the cold sweat on your forehead. A shiver shook your body.
"Are you cold?" Hyunjin asked, concerned. "Sorry, I should have chosen a table further away from the air-conditioning."
You tried to protest, but in a matter of seconds Hyunjin was at your side, wrapping his coat around your body. He leaned his head and placed a kiss on your forehead, but he quickly pulled away, frowning.
"Gorgeous, you're hot." He pointed, making your body petrify.
Holy crap!
The effect of the medicine you took in the afternoon should be wearing off. In your zombie state, you had completely forgotten to take another pill before leaving your house.
"I'm always hot, baby." You forced a laugh, hoping your lame excuse would work by some miracle.
“Yeah, I agree with that. But I'm not talking about this."
Thank God, Hyunjin was interrupted by the arrival of the food. He grudgingly pulled away from you, sitting back in his seat, yet not even for a second diverting his watchful gaze from you.
"Thanks." You said when the waiter finished serving the last dish.
“Y/n-” Hyunjin started, but you cut him off.
“Ow, this looks so good! I'm starving, aren't you? Let's eat before the food gets cold.”
Out of desperation, you cut off a large piece of meat and brought it to your mouth, despite the fierce protests of your belly. The food instantly made your empty stomach lurch, causing your vision to blur slightly. Points of light seemed to be dancing in front of your eyes.
"Sorry. I think I need to go to the restroom.” You babbled.
Distraught, you covered your mouth and nearly ran towards the toilet. You heard Hyunjin calling your name and felt people's eyes on you, but, for the moment, you decided to worry only about not throwing up in the middle of the restaurant.
Without thinking twice, Hyunjin placed his napkin on the table and followed you. He was so worried that he almost walked straight into the ladies' restroom, but the death glare he received from an old lady was enough to make him back off.
So he rested his head on the cool tile and took a deep breath, waiting impatiently for you.
What the hell had happened? You looked good seconds ago. What had he missed? He ran the last hour over and over in his head, trying to find some clue, some sign that would explain what was happening.
The sneeze at the smell of the flowers, the discomfort on your face while he was driving, your reaction to the food… Oh crap!
He rushed to you as soon as you left the restroom.
"Love, are you okay? What happened?"
Seeing the distress in Hyunjin's eyes hit you like a sack of bricks. There went the perfect date.
“I'm alright, Hyun. Let’s go back to the table." You said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.
"Please, don't lie to me. You're so pale… and your hands are shaking! You threw up, didn't you?"
Lying to him was totally useless at that point. So you just nodded slightly.
To your surprise, Hyunjin let out a gasp, quickly covering his mouth with his hands. His eyes were wide open, and, if that was even possible, he looked paler than you.
"Oh my God. You're pregnant!" He blurted out.
"What?" You exclaimed.
Hyunjin gripped your shoulders, staring deeply into your eyes before enveloping your body in a tight hug.
“It's going to be okay, my love. I swear. We'll figure it out. I'll be by your side every step of the way, I give you my word. I'm here with you. I got you."
"Hyunjin!" You exclaimed, struggling to pull away from his bear hug. "I'm not pregnant."
"Are you sure?" He stared at you, suspicious.
“What do you mean with that? Of course, I'm sure! Why the hell do you think I'm pregnant?”
"Well..." He scratched his neck, suddenly shy. “In movies, whenever a woman starts vomiting, it always means she is pregnant. And you were so sensitive to smells. So... I don't know… I thought you were pregnant.”
You tried to control yourself so you wouldn't hurt his feelings, but you couldn't help but laugh at it.
However, your fit of laughter was soon replaced by a fit of coughing. You coughed so hard that you felt the air rush out of your lungs, making your knees weaken. Terrified, Hyunjin wrapped an arm around your shoulders, supporting you.
"Baby, I can assure you hundred percent that I'm not pregnant." You teased him, trying to ignore the taste of bile in your mouth.
"You’re sick!" He said in awe as if he had just discovered a new country.
“Yep. I got caught in the rain a few days ago.” You explained.
"Why didn't you call me?" He scolded you.
"My phone died."
"That's no excuse! You could have borrowed the library phone or made a smoke signal-"
"Baby, I don't think a smoke signal would be very useful on a rainy day." You said, trying hard not to laugh again. He was just so cute.
"Stop being so smart, you know what I mean."
"Yes, I know. Sorry."
"Fuck! I should have realized this sooner. Why didn't you tell me anything? We wouldn't have left your house if you had told me! God, I'm so sorry, I-”
"Hey, it's okay." You interrupt him, cupping his cheeks. He was looking at you seriously, eyes clouded with worry. "It was my fault. I didn't want to ruin this night.”
Hyunjin closed his eyes, letting out a deep sigh. He would have a serious talk with you about this, but his priority right now was to take you home. "Let's go."
"Where?"
"Home."
"But-"
"No buts." He argued. "We're going home, young lady."
“No, Hyunjin.” You said desperately, trying to break free from his arms. Your worst nightmare was coming true right in front of your eyes. “We barely ate anything. And the movie? I know you already bought the tickets! We can't go home now.”
"My love, listen to me." He said firmly yet gently, cupping your cheeks with his big hands, making you have no choice but to look at his eyes. “None of that matters, okay? What I'm worried about right now is with you and your health.”
Without giving you time to protest, Hyunjin pulled you by the hand towards the exit, only stopping on the way to explain the situation to a waiter. Within minutes you were in his car again, leaning your head against the window, hoping the cold glass would help with your headache.
The drive home was silent. Hyunjin drove as carefully as possible to not make your nausea worse. You notice he was biting the corner of his lip, something he only did when his head was far away, lost in thought. But he kept a firm hand on your knee, absently stroking random patterns on your skin.
"Can you walk?" He suddenly asked as he stopped in front of your apartment.
Before you could answer, he got out of the car and opened the passenger door, scooping you gently into his arms in bridal style.
“Hey! Put me down, I can walk. If you haven't forgotten, I'm not nine months pregnant! I’m just sick."
“I prefer not to risk it. You almost fainted at the restaurant.” His face was serious as he carried you to the elevator.
"You're exaggerating. I was just a little dizzy! Really, you don't have to do this.”
"Shii, stop being so stubborn." He replied, shaking his head. "Let me be your boyfriend and take care of you."
Seeing that you had no chance of winning against him, you just closed your eyes and rested your head on his shoulder. It didn't take long for you to be back in your bed, properly changed in a pair of sweats and with your teeth brushed.
"I'll make you something to eat." He informed after making sure you were comfortable.
You protested, grabbing his arm and pulling him back to bed. "No, just stay here with me."
“I promise I'll cuddle you for as long as you want, my love. But you need to eat something first. You look so weak… I-I wonder how I didn't notice this before.” He said sadly, almost whispering the last part.
Your heart squeezed in your chest.
"It's not your fault. I didn't want you to know I was sick... I know how hard you planned everything, and I didn't want to screw it up.” You said bitterly. “But in the end, I only managed to make things worse.”
He held your hands gently, as if you were a fragile piece of crystal, adorably staring at you. “You didn't screw anything. I understand your side, but you should have told me the truth.”
"It's just… We barely get to spend time together, and you were so excited… I miss you so much, Hyun.”
Hyunjin felt like crying seeing you so vulnerable and fragile like that. But he swallowed his tears and tried his best to reassure you.
"I miss you too, my love. But please, never do that again. You're more important than any restaurant or theater. Your health and your comfort will always come first to me.” He brought your hands to his lips, placing little kisses on your fingers. “Sorry for being a bad boyfriend and not realizing you were sick."
"Hey, you're not a bad boyfriend!"
He shook his head in denial. "I was too focused on making sure everything came out perfect. I think I wanted to prove to myself that I was worthy of being with someone like you."
'Hyunjin..." You muttered, feeling a little lost. You had no idea he felt that way.
"Sorry, I know this is silly."
"What? No, no. This is far from silly, baby. I want you to know that your feelings are totally valid and that you can share them with me anytime. I'll always be here to listen to you and make sure these negative thoughts don't play tricks on that beautiful brain of yours.”
You approached him, wrapping him in a tight hug.
“I love you, Hwang Hyunjin.” You whispered in his ear. “You have no idea how special you are. Personally, I think I'm so lucky to have been given the chance to meet you and see up close this beautiful person that you are. It probably going to sound a little cheesy, but you're my soulmate. You filled a space in my life that I didn't even know was missing. You're worth it, and I hope with all my heart that I never lose you.”
"You're going to make me cry like that." He pulled away, dramatically fanning his face with his hands.
"Here I am declaring my love for you, and you being a drama queen." You said, rolling your eyes.
“You know I love you too, gorgeous. More than all the stars in the sky.”
He gently caressed your cheek, looking at you with so much love that made your heart flutter in your chest. He slowly leaned for a kiss, but you turned your head quickly, making him kiss your cheek.
He whined. "Y/n!"
“I'm sick, forgot? So no kissing for you, sir.”
"This is so unfair!"
"Chan would kill me if I let you get sick with the performances just around the corner."
“Forget that, I'll deal with it later. Now give me at least a little kiss.”
You pushed him away, warning him, "Hyunjin!"
"All right! You won. Happy?" He raised his arms in a sigh of surrender. “Can I at least check your temperature?"
You nodded, allowing him to come closer. He calmly brought his hand up to your forehead, but before you could realize what was happening, you felt Hyunjin's plump lips touch yours in a quick kiss.
“Hwang Hyunjin!” You yelled as he quickly walked away.
“Stay right here. Don't move a muscle. I'll prepare something tasty for you to eat and get some medicine. I won't allow my soulmate to be sick like that.” He blew you a kiss, smiling teasingly. “Oh and Y/n, just so you know. You'll never lose me. I’m totally yours, my love.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to hide the blush creeping up on your cheeks. "Don't set the house on fire!"
"I'll try my best."
When he left, you leaned back on the bed, lightly touching your lips with your fingertips, not even trying to hide the silly smile present on your face.
