Hey it’s been a while, been sick but warframe has taken over my mind once again with Duviri being so close to launch

Also my Nidus finished baking and I’ve been loving the adorable little nuke maggots as well as playing around with the fashion for this guy

I might end up drawing more of the frames I own like Limbo and Garuda but posts are definitely going to be slowing down in the future so I can better take care of myself

Logically, I understand why "pretty" trans rep is just as good of an idea, but also...trans lives are complicated and messy. Hell, all lives are complicated and messy. Not everyone gets to be conventionally attractive. Not every transition is smooth, be it from juvenile to adult or male to female.

I love Ticker (Warframe).

Does she "look" or "sound" like a woman? Nah, not really. But nobody seems to question it. Granted, nobody really interacts with her enough to be transphobic towards her which is kind of cowardly of the writers in my opinion, but at the same time, isn't it nice to have a character who didn't have the resources to transition as effectively as we typically see in a video game? Isn't it very cool of DE to put in some hyper-clockable trans character who--in spite of that--isn't questioned in her identity? Isn't it an interesting and relatable story for impoverished transfems, told in mere minutes, if not seconds, by the setting and the very presence of the character? Isn't it realistic and grounded that there wasn't any magic solution to make her transition perfectly? No Illusion Magics or Special Science Serums or Power Of Contrivance, just feminine vocal intonations and she/her pronouns.

Isn't the messiness refreshing?
