Have you played GRAVEMIRE ?
By Sylvan Lawrence
Tumblr media
Gravemire is a tabletop roleplaying game about death, growth, horror, and survival, based in an original mechanical framework and set in the churning waters of the Louisiana bayou circa 1894. Players slip into the roles of outsiders arriving in the town of Scarstone, a rural outpost that has been warped by a terrible transformation known as the Convulsion. Once, Scarstone was surrounded by similar towns.
The Bayou once had an end. Now, unknowable numbers of horrors seep through the uncharted backwaters, strange magic contorts reality to its whims, and the settlements that called Scarstone their neighbor jut half-ruined from the mire like bones from a wound. Times have changed.

Have you played THE LAUNDRY ?
By Gareth Hanrahan, Jason Durall and John Snead
Tumblr media
Balancing the fight against Lovecraftian horrors and British bureaucracy, your team works for a secret division of the government intent on keeping the Old Ones at bay. And, more importantly, keeping them a secret from civilians.
"You’re a spy. Well, you are now, at least. Previously, you were someone who learned things humanity was not meant to know. Namely, that magic is real, it exists in the higher realms of mathematics, and it has some really messed up devotees. And if you know that much, then you’re not left with much of a choice — you work for the Laundry now."
There is a Kickstarter right now, ending soon, by Cubicle 7 games

Have you played Trollbabe ?
By Ron Edwards
Tumblr media
Trollbabe is a role-playing game about playing trollbabes: horned women that lie halfway between humans and trolls. Using a simple system where each character is defined by a single number that the player must roll under to succeed at fighting, over to succeed on magic, and whichever of the two is worse to succeed at social checks, a system that would go on to inspire the system from Lasers & Feelings.
Gameplay revolves around trollbabes traveling from one place to another, getting involved in conflicts which often force them to mediate between their human and trollish side. It's one of those games which is definitely not an intentional trans allegory, but could definitely be read as an accidental trans allegory. Ron Edwards was definitely just horny for trollgirls, and who can blame him, but in doing so he managed to make a game that dozens of girls who enjoy GIRLS WITH HORNS can probably vibe with.

Have you played GRIM : A Retro FPS-Styled TTRPG ?
By EfanGamez
Tumblr media
In a time far beyond Earth’s exodus, explorers have unearthed relics and ancient architecture that are said to be older than the cosmos itself, shattering all theories of the creation of the universe and its age. You and your allies, assigned by the Martyrs of Free Olympia or the Elysian Coalition, are tasked to investigate ruins on the planet Gamma Rho Iota Mu, simply referred to as GRIM, to find any traces of life that are rumored to lay beneath the only structure on the planet: a towering obelisk.
Countless explorers sent to GRIM have delved into these ruins, but none have returned. Many denizens of Free Olympia and beyond have feared that their planet will be next to succumb to GRIM's grasp, and some have fallen to their knees to worship this fated harbinger of doom. All seemed hopeless and lost…
Until YOU arrived.
Inspired by prolific FPS games like the Quake series, GRIM's mechanics are quick, brutal, and easy to understand without sacrificing its immense depth.
Using either the flip of a coin or a six-sided die (d6), use Combat Skills to speed around combat maps and frag enemies, or use Roleplaying Skills either in or out of combat to navigate the dark and oppressive world beyond the Whispering Gate.

Have you played UPRIVER, DOWNRIVER
By Ella Watts
Tumblr media
All you’ve ever known is the Great River.
Gather your crew and swear a magical Oath — to each other, to your ship, and to your goal to reach the Source of the River or cross the horizon of the Sea. No one has ever found the Source and no one has ever come back from the Sea. Journey to four locations along the River, each tied to one of the major arcana, never moving backwards and never lingering for more than 72 hours, but impacting life on the River all the same.
Your time on the River is short, but that it is insignificant.
Upriver, Downriver uses a combination of polyhedral dice and tarot cards to guide the narrative through four to twelve 3-4 hour sessions.
