Been watching the Classic Dr Who channel after work since I got a roku tv. Seems to play nothing but fourth doctor serials but it's got me crazy nostalgic.
A long time ago I read either a short story or fanfiction where the (fourth) doctor had a hard time tying his shoelaces, and that's all I remember, and I've never been able to find it again despite my best efforts, and the more of these serials I see the more convinced I am that that author knew what the fuck they were talking about.
Watched Trials and Tribbleations today and… can I just say the comedic genius of having Sisko search through the grain storage for the explosive Tribble and just throw the safe ones down the open hatch which is then perfectly cut to show that same tribble falling down on Kirk?! Unparalleled! Haven’t laughed this hard watching Star Trek since I watched the og episode.
i hate to be that guy, but the idea that gender, sex, and sexuality are ontologically pure concepts that can be rigidly defined if we simply police our language enough (our english language, because of course) is—i cannot stress this enough—a total waste of time. you may as well spend your afternoons teaching a brick how to swim
