It feels empowering yet confusing, and sometimes defeating. As a god of many counterparts, I have witnessed allot of trouble stemming from what can be confliction of these parts. As people could think as a war god, I am too soft due to my counterpart for love (or what others call an epithet). Or too much as a love god who burdens the horrors of war.

To also mention I hold grief and loss under the subject of losing a loved one, it's often much for me to carry. The confusion often comes from these conflicting parts, and it makes me quite the morally gray person to deal with such.

To view myself is another thing entirely, as I don't see myself above others yet I know within me is something that most general mortals may not fully understand. I feel my purpose varies, from finding the person whom I reincarnated with several times (through loss and death of them did i gain the grief epithet) to maybe serving a life of activism through fighting unnecessary war. As I tend to keep up with current events in healthy doses and and am very politically active in how i voice my opinions.

What is it like being godkin/deitykin for you? What is your story - how did you find out you were godkin? How does being godkin impact your day to day life? Do you see living and existing as different if you are godkin, vs if you are not? What do you think is your purpose for being here, at this time, as godkin? How do you see yourself?

my fellow divinity, we are filled with stardust, holiness, and sin. we walk among mortals and bless their lives simply by standing near them. we create curses by a glare, knowing who's morals are rotten when their behavior shines a light upon it. we are ones who will cast their cruelty into the shadows.

my fellow avians, though our feet may never leave the ground unless upon a swing, our wings will still be strong the day our souls enter a vessel that is identical of who we are. we are keen, sharp, and intelligent, and no matter what prey we are to someone else, that our lives are just as worth living.

my fellow corvids, you are a funky little death omen and i adore you all! you work as a signal for those who've lost someone, and you are always respected as the blessing you are. i have never seen anything bad luck in a raven, even myself being one, we are worth bringing the good in ways that people may never expect.

to my therians, generally otherkin, nonhuman, and alterhumans, you are loved and you are valid in your identities. you are whole by these identities and nothing will change that. no mean remark or hateful comment will ever make you any less visible. you're here, you're what you say you are.

to those new on their journeys, it's okay to take your time. you'll figure it out, and it's okay to be unsure. you've got this. your elders and greymuzzles are always going to be here as a guidance, and there's plentiful resources if you find out where to look. as it never hurts to ask.

something I’ve rarely but have unfortunately seen in the community is people complaining and even annoyed about the ‘inaccuracies’ of some people’s kintypes? I understand that often an interest or special interest in a specific animal will accompany therianthropy, but it wasn’t something I expected to see from this community

so let me say this: you are NOT less valid if your kintype is not ‘scientifically accurate’.

if you are a bird or a bat, so what if your wings are on your back?

if you are an unnatural colour, so what if your animal isn’t typically bright pink or green or blue with yellow stripes?

so what if you crave meat in your shifts as a herbivore kintype?

so what if you have markings or patterns than wouldn’t appear in nature?
