There weren't many clouds in the sky; the only ones that were there were slightly shallow—cirrus clouds, to be exact. There had grown a weeping willow under their graves, hiding them from the hot summer sun. Their graves were still in good condition after six years, even if Albatross's grave had a small crack forming on the left side. They still had the bouquets on their graves I had ordered for them; they looked slightly drowsy—maybe mournfully drowsy? But they were still beautiful. As beautiful as our friendship had once been.

How long has it been since I haven't been here? 2191,5 days...? Maybe, but it was still difficult to remember. I let out a little sigh and looked around the other unknown graves, counting them: one, two, three... There were sixteen other graves, to be exact, almost giving it an empty feeling. It was as if no one ever wanted to know about their existence, so they remained unknown to everyone. But who am I to judge? We are only memories when we die; we are no longer humans. Just memories of past experiences.

"Did it really have to end like this..?"I murmured to myself, maybe it shouldn't, but I can't imagine any other universe where they actually live, where they are there, to look at me proudly, to celebrate their accomplishments.

It did have to end like this. They were not only an experience, but a wonderful one. I looked at their graves. Fucking hell... This feels unfair; why? Why should they have died? I could feel tears filling my eyes; couldn't I have been better? Couldn't I have saved them? Keep them safe from death's grip. I would do anything to just start it all over again. Maybe then, if I had made the right decisions, this wouldn't have happened. We could have sat down and laughed at the past as we made way for the future, but the future didn't open its doors for them.
