How does Kanako feel about Ceroba and Marlet being a pair? Or she is just like, "I have been in a dark lab for a few years, I am just happy to be NOT in the dark."

their relationship takes a back seat when they get kanako back, but as soon as she’s relatively okay theres a lot of complicated feelings finding out about martlet and ceroba. like “my mom has moved on which means she doesnt care about my dad anymore” to which ceroba has to explain that no, she still loves chujin, she has room to love both of them, but martlet makes her happy too. martlet isnt looking to be kanakos mom if she wants, just a supportive adult figure. theres a lot of acting out and fighting back at first, but ofc kanako comes around to accepting it eventually!! just a lot of emotions at first

yeah theres a lot of drama but this is a way funnier explanation

I love that your interpretation of the amalgamates aren't inherently... like that. That their deteriorated mental state is mostly because of them being locked up in a dingy lab for so long and only tended to by a single distraught scientist who can barely take care of herself. That when they're free, surrounded by loved ones and getting actual qualified help they can recover and become more... coherent.

Also, Kanako can still grow up? I thought having a stagnant soul ment she was kid sized forever (which would admittedly suck). I wonder what an adult amalgako would look like.

thank you!! while i think being given hope and then melting together horrifically and being the product of monster experimentation without consent is enough to traumatize them all, i feel like being isolated and basically alone aside from each other is just. more trauma on top of that that led to the decline of their mental health. i think if they had gotten the proper help immediately after becoming amalgamates they wouldn’t have been so…. like That. its just being down there for years and years with nothing to do and no one to talk to that really fucked em up mentally.

but now that they are surrounded by friends and family they can start healing!! and settling into a new normal for themselves

as for kanako; yes! a stagnant soul doesnt mean she wont grow up, just that she wont become more or less goopy as she does. she wont get better but she wont get worse either. here is a quick adult kanako to match the adult clover!!

What do you think would happen if The Parents (derogatory) ever heard from monsters who actually met Clover, even outside of the main troupe? Wonder how easily the monsters could get a read on them being Shitty. The possibility of some monster going “hey that doesn’t sound like them.” And the parents gettin REAL defensive.

i think monsters could pick up pretty quick on it. like, theyre positive and openminded to a fault but once The Parents start talking about clover theyre like huh…. they dont sound like that…….

i know axis wouldn't really be a part of clover physically but i could see axis effect their magic, maybe giving them a sick new laser revolver that functions like an in between for the clover cannon (the name i gave the big laser attack) and the big shot?

yeah i think clover would get the big laser gun!! it probably would be a shotgun type attack that manifests on either side of them 🤔🤔
