Although I have to admit I am selfishly glad that you'll finally have time for our weekend transatlantic TV time.. I feel like we haven't watched anything in forever! Lol. J/K.

Just shy of three years ago, I happily stepped in to help when @choicesficwriterscreations needed assistance with CFWC Fics of the Week. Shortly thereafter, the blog's original creator, @loricreates, was ready to step down, and along with @lucy-268 I was honored to take over and continue the great work Lori had started.

The CFWC archive provides an invaluable service to our fandom, but it was always so much more to me. It's a place where people connect, friendships are fostered, and our incredibly talented creators have a chance to be seen and appreciated.

It has been my pleasure to serve as CFWC's mod, and I'm very proud of the contributions I have made during that time. But it's also a lot of work, and lately, it was beginning to feel like a chore. That's when I knew it was time to say goodbye. I'm not going far; I'll still be in the fandom. I may even show up here to help host a special event or two in the future, but for now, I want to spend my time concentrating on other things, both in and outside of the fandom. That includes my writing, catching up on reading, and supporting each of you.

I want to thank @lorircreates, CFWC's founder, for her vision, for creating this space, and for entrusting it to me. It was an honor to take the reins from you, and I hope we've done your "baby" proud.

I want to thank @lucy-268, who was a dream co-moderator. We sure had a lot of good (and crazy) times running the blog together. I'm so glad this fandom brought us together... and we'll stay that way long after this fandom is gone. 💙

I'd like to thank @liaromancewriter, who has graciously offered to take over so that CFWC can continue. Please join me in welcoming Mal as the blog's new moderator! It makes me feel much better knowing I'm leaving CFWC in your hands!

Most of all, I want to thank all of you. Each and every one of you has made our fandom what it is. The creators who make us laugh, cry, and feel things we never expected to feel. The readers and art fans who have encouraged everyone along the way. Everyone who has ever "geeked out" over a beloved story, character, or OC together. Through CFWC, I've gotten to know many of you better, and that has been the best part of the time I've spent here.

So this is my final CFWC post... one last time! :) I can't wait to see what the future brings! 😘

I finished reading If This Gets Out this morning (because who needs sleep before work!? Lol) and it only left me wanting to read more of the 4 friends' journey. So I'm sorry, but I have to talk about it at least for a bit.

This was the first book I finished in literal YEARS, so I really didn't expect to get sucked in so easily. I mean, I expected the theme would appeal to me otherwise I wouldn't have bought the book in the first place. But I really didn't think it would leave me wanting to do nothing more but continue reading all day..

First, the writing is so good! The story just flows nicely from the very beginning. I do love my boybands and knowing all the challenges mentioned in the book were realistic made the read all the more interesting and made me even more invested in the Saturday story every step of the way.

I really liked that from the start it was obvious that the boys were true friends and really cared for one another, too (which, as far as I know, actually isn't as common in boyband culture). Also, all of them are genuinely good people which makes you wanna root for them all the more to succeed.

Another bonus point for the quality writing - you know from the storytelling most of what's about to unfold.. yet somehow it makes wanna get to that particular plot even faster.

I have to admit, I initially had my doubts about where Jon's loyalty lied when it came to his father and his friends.. But by the time Ruben actually accused him of trying to resolve The Tension just for the band's sake, I was like "How can you say that!?", lol. Sorry I ever doubted you, honey!

I think my absolute favorite moment from the book was the hug Mrs. Phan gave Jon. Just a tiny little scene, yet it made me tear up.

Of course, I might be biased because Angel's my favorite character. I mean, come on!

What can I say!? I have a type - hilarious And cocky. I made my peace with that. Obviously, that's not the only reason why he's my favorite. But I really did love all of the boys and the order of favorites on the other positions kept changing constantly.

I felt the romance between Ruben and Zach was developing at a nice pace as well. Although I can't even count the times I slammed the book against my forehead during The Tension.. 😅

Okay, I would go into more detail but the post is already much longer than I anticipated and I have to get back to work anyway, lol.

Finally.. Was the book perfect? No. Was there any moment I thought was bad? Also no. So I can only recommend it.

One last thing, though. I will forever be bitter that Ruben unintentionally basically confirming ANJON in Rome was never mentioned again.. Not even a single tweet!? Really!? J/K

I have NO WORDS anymore to describe how talented Ainna is! This piece is once again absolutely stunning.. I don't even bother saying "there's no way she can do better than this" because I already know she'll somehow top even this next time, lol.

Yeah, it's April. lol But I always wanted art for this part of Tobias & Casey's story, and as I revamped this series to move their HC along, I decided to go for it. (Hell, who knows if I'll even be here in December.) So... here it is. Once again, Instagram's @/artbyainna knocked it out of the park.

My babies were not a couple at this point... I know... they sure look like they are... but they were still stubbornly clinging to that "just friends" thing because the denial was strong! lol

I finished watching Ripley last night and despite the slow pace, which usually isn't my thing, I really liked it. And like everyone else, I must praise the cinematography! The choice to have it all in black & white was good, too.

Of course, Andrew was the main reason I was looking forward to the show and he was as great in the role as I expected. Although, I guess, I have some of his facial expressions too associated with Moriarty that I couldn't help but think but think I was just watching Jim at least once every episode. 😅 Just like I thought "No way Moriarty would be this sloppy" on more than one occasion, lol. But yeah, that's fully on me.

I really liked the comedic moments in the show as well. I think I'll be using "su, su, su" for a while.. 😂

I can't really compare the show with the previous versions. I've only seen the Matt Damon movie once at 3 am a decade ago and I only remembered 3 scenes - the one with the paddle (obviously, lol), the "Weekend at Bernie's" scenario and, mainly, the final scene (which might be because I remember saying to my laptop screen "Come on, Tom, you don't have to do that.." 😅). And now I'm not sure how to feel about the ending being different. I have to rewatch the movie. But again, I really did like the show.

I've been really disinterested in Choices lately but I just suddenly missed my babies a month ago, so I commissioned the incredible @/artbyainna on IG and as always, she did an amazing job! Not that you could ever expect anything else from her.

In Good Times & In Bad

Hey there! I've been struggling to write lately, and I often find doing little things like a text fic or journal entry related to the story I'm working on can help get the creative juices flowing. This text fic is part of that process, and... it worked!

I wasn't going to share it, but I figured why not. This is the lead into the next part of my With Warning mini-series that will finally show how my lil clowns got together. This one will be a bit angstier (I miss angst!)

Open Heart | Tobias & Casey (F!MC) | Teen | Wip-ish Text Fic A/N: This takes place just a little over two months after the chemical attack. They are just friends at this point. (There is a typo - learning should be leaving - this is no longer saved... it will have to do. lol)

A/N 2: My boy loves calling her "kid" and "pal" and such during this stage of their relationship because he's fallen hard and he's trying desperately to keep up that barrier. Just friends, dude. And I love it. lol
