"crochet can't be made by machines" went from being a cool fun fact to being a call to action of "so if you see mass manufactured crochet in Target, that was made by a person and they were underpaid and you should boycott it" which is true, it was made by a person, but EVERY item of clothing you own (that you did not purchase from a company using ethical labor) was made by a person being underpaid (at *best*.)

Sewing machines are operated by *people*. Knitting machines are operated by *people*. Yes lots of the process is automated but you cannot tell a machine "make me a t-shirt" or "make me a knit cardigan".

Higher awareness of fast fashion, and the true human labor and abuse behind it, is GREAT, but let's not pretend that the crochet hat in target is THE problem. Every article of clothing in target is the problem. "All clothes are made by people" is the jumping off point here into understanding this issue it's not just crochet it's the whole thing ahhhhHHHHHHHHHH

The social attitude regarding age is consistently getting weirder. You’re not ‘pushing 30’ you’re just in your late 20s. 30 is not old and neither is 40 while I’m at it. Growing older is an enormous privilege and displaying that age is a gorgeous component of life. Spending your days trying to reverse that grace breeds an eternally wasted life.

So in the comics the wrestler, a dude called Crusher Hogan, who Peter Parker defeats in his first outing as Spider-Man, effectively had his entire career ruined by the incident, and while he remained on good terms with Peter afterwards he could only find work as a janitor in the gyms he used to practice in.

That got me thinking about Bonesaw, the model set up by the Joker solo film, A24's style of film-making, and how you could technically combine them together to make a movie that would likely win an Oscar.

Admittedly what is likely a very sad film about Bonesaw's recovery after getting injured in the ring by a younger guy (with actual superpowers) who didn't understand that you're not meant to actually hurt people during wrestling, but him powering through it to come back for one final match to get the money he needs to properly retire could probably get an audience.

Holy shit, they got Voyager 1 working again!

15 billion miles away and NASA was able to tweak code packages on one of the onboard computers and it worked and Voyager 1 is sending signals back to earth for the first time since November.
