Call me a pick me, but if some creator decides to write about a minority group I belong to but that they themselves are not a part of I'll be willing to overlook small inconsequential inaccuracies as long as the big picture feels accurate and respectful. If we want more representation we can't take the burden of making all of our representation ourselves and let outsiders take a shot at it as long as they're willing to do their research and listen to feedback. And if a little nuance or detail escapes the filter of accuracy I wouldn't mind if the whole sum of its parts is still good rep.

Two Half-Kings and a Full Lake Between
In the aftermath of their tumultuous arrival in Beleriand, Maglor has scarcely managed to hold together the bruised and splintering House of Fëanor and their Sindarin allies. Then, the Sun's first rising brings with it Fingolfin’s host of Ice-hardened Noldor, hungry for retribution. With battered hearts and fraying minds, the two half-kings must navigate fragile relations even as they face the impossible task of reuniting the Noldor under a single leader.
Join @polutrope and me for this Mithrim drama fest for @silmarillionepistolary. We'll be adding a new chapter each day of the event week!

Please don’t stand by the islamic regime for the attack on israel. The whole thing was a joke and all it did was endanger the innocent lives of millions of my people. Stand by iranian people who’ve been taken hostage by these lunatics for decades. The islamic regime was killing iranian children and hundreds of men and women not so long ago. Have you all forgotten? Its still the same fucking terrorist regime. Just because their beef with israel now fits global sympathies with palestine, it doesn’t mean the islamic regime is now benevolent. They’re the same fucking murderous regime that killed mahsa amini for not observing the islamic hijab and then proceeded to kill hundreds of people who protested against her murder. This iran-israel conflict will not hurt israel or benefit palestine. It will only hurt iranian people.

Farha (2021) is a movie about the Palestinian Nakba that’s just been put on Netflix, it’s a portrayal of the violence experienced by Palestinians during Israel’s creation from the perspective of a 14 year old girl - to my knowledge, this is the first film about the story of the Nakba on Netflix. (If you don’t know the history of the Nakba - this post can explain it quickly)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The movie is being received with a lot of praise from Palestinians online, however, the movie is currently being review bombed by zionists and condemned by the Israeli press and there have been threats towards showing of the film by Israel’s finance minister, this is the IMDb review page as of posting this:
Tumblr media
If you would like to help support this film and Palestinian history being portrayed, please leave a positive review, and if you have Netflix, watch the film. The story of the Nakba has one that has long been silenced and it’s so rare to see it even acknowledged in media, my family survived it, many others didn’t, what they all experienced was real, and it’s about time there has been recognition of it.

Over 100 Israelis stormed Erez Crossing at the northern tip of Gaza yesterday afternoon in the most significant attempt to re-establish Jewish settlements in the Strip since the war began. A small number managed to cross several hundred meters into Gaza before being intercepted by Israeli soldiers, while around 20 others entered the area between the two walls comprising the barrier that encages the Strip. There, they established an “outpost” in the style seen commonly in the West Bank, building for several hours without the army or police interfering.  From the first moments of the war, it was clear that right-wing Israeli politicians and settler leaders sensed an opportunity to radically shift the status quo in Israel-Palestine. For months, calls to resettle Gaza — often in the same breath as calling to expel the Strip’s 2.3 million Palestinian residents — have been getting louder, not least at a major conference in Jerusalem in January at which senior officials laid out their plans. In parallel, right-wing activists — mostly youth — have been coming regularly to the Gaza fence to demonstrate against the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip. Yesterday’s action, however, marked a new peak in their activities.
