Guys who complain about the friendzone often don’t care about their female friends’ personal boundaries, forcing their female friends build more walls up. A good cartoon.
v for vendetta is a film with a female protagonist that criticises capitalism, condemns pedophilia, encourages the viewers to question their governments, has a central plot about how LGBT people are condemned in right wing societies (more than three LGBT characters are in it) and was directed by a trans woman and her brother.
From @my_foster_babies: “This cute little baby’s Mom Melody was abandoned by her previous owners when they moved away and did not take her with them. Kind neighbors noticed she was pregnant and brought her to the no-kill shelter Nevada SPCA in Las Vegas, NV for help. Her Mom was able to give birth to four healthy babies (including this little princess) in the comfort of my home instead of outside in the elements. This whole family will be spayed and neutered before they are adopted into their forever homes. Please be a part of the solution to cat overpopulation and ALWAYS spay and neuter!” #catsofinstagram [source: http://ift.tt/2fd4CQd ]
“In 1939, the United States refused to let the S.S. St. Louis dock in our country, sending over 900 Jewish refugees back to Europe, where many died in concentration camps,” write more than 1,000 American rabbis in a letter delivered to Congress yesterday. “That moment was a stain on the history of our country – a tragic decision made in a political climate of deep fear, suspicion, and antisemitism.”
“The Washington Post released public opinion polling from the early 1940s, showing that the majority of U.S. citizens did not want to welcome Jewish refugees to this country in those years,” they continue. “In 1939, our country could not tell the difference between an actual enemy and the victims of an enemy. In 2015, let us not make the same mistake.”
Jewish leaders implore the U.S. to “welcome the stranger,” not to turn away refugees as it did during the Holocaust
Today is my birthday. And it’s a special one because you once told me that when you came back, we might be the same age. Well, now I’m the same age that you were when you left… and it’d be really great if you came back soon.
