every description of a transfeminine japanese character is like "in the English version his gender is left vague. he is referred to as a boy, but wears feminine clothes and talks about how much he loves being perceived as a cute pretty girl. His gender was left intentionally vague so fans can interpret him however they want. But in the Japanese version, he is referred to exclusively with female pronouns and is referred to as a woman by everyone."
i have never been able to draw horses or ponies ever how the hell do you do it so perfectly
it took me a long while! I figured out some tricks a while ago when I was trying to Actually Draw Horses for some semi-serious art. The real trick is that the cartoon designs are made of some really simple shapes!
My big tip is to stop thinking about them as real-life horses and start thinking of them as shapes that can bend and stretch and squash. The ponies in MLP look nothing like actual real horses; they're more like quadruped short-necked rainbow giraffes! Once I gave up on the fear of them looking anatomically incorrect and started looking for the specific "shapes" the art style was built out of, I had a much easier time. This can even work for more serious art!
(these are a little old and from when I was first trying to learn how to draw pony-type fellas from last year, but I think the principles still stand!)
me, as I’m rubbing my t gel into my leg: hmm. what if I was cis this whole time
the transsexual angel sitting on my shoulder: who fucking cares. you’re having a good time being on t. either take t as a tranny or take it as a cis dyke. who cares!
me: thanks transsexual angel. are you allowed to reclaim those slurs btw
My fav thing about being an artist is that we’re always just noticing things. Sometimes I’m having dinner with someone and completely stop paying attention to the conversation in favour of committing the shape and material of my cup to memory. Or I’m looking at this specific patch of mineral buildup under the bridge every time i walk by it on the way to work because what if i need it for an environment someday. There are so many things to notice.
go into another room and pick up a random object and look at it!!
like really look at it!!!
SOMEONE designed that!!
a real life living person set time aside to design that
you will probably never know their name but you should thank them and all the other designers who make the mundane things in your life because otherwise life would be boring with out them
So I was watching a video on ptarmigans and it was mentioned that they dig burrows in the snow for shelter and protection. Which, cool! Burrowing bird! Then they showed this picture and
