An American Road Trip Before a Dystopian Future

3 month of traveling to fill myself with the incomparably unique landscapes of North America.

From sea to shining sea,

great prairies, smoke stack cities,

snow topped mountains, to crumbling red dessert rock.

Only to be caught off guard, when I return to my home state on the day of a new America and an unexpected president-elect who FAILS to admire, appreciate, and protect the same diversity in our Americans.

My friends are black.

My friends are asian.

My friends are LGBTQA+.

My friends are immigrants and the children of immigrants.

My friends are dependent on Obamacare. 

My friends are victims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape.

My friends are mixed, diverse, beautiful, and STRONG, just as our land is. 

I resist and fight and donate and support and write because I believe in human rights, in equality, and a better future for ALL Americans and because I LOVE the land that we share. We are stronger together.
