i purse my lips and look away from him so i don't see the face he makes when he says sorry. i feel bad for pushing him away but i don't want him to get caught up in whatever is happening right now. when he leaves, i glance back at the mirror, seeing nothing. for the rest of the day, i skip all my classes and spend time in the library, trying to find an explanation and a solution. "damn it!" i curse, slamming another book closed. "there has to be something that can help with that... thing!"
meanwhile after classes, kuroko returns to the rooftop on his own. no one was there; only the whispers of the wind were present. he quietly and carefully walks towards the middle of the rooftop. all he could feel was the gentle warmth and no gusts of crisp winds. there he stood for a while yet felt nothing unusual. he decides to leave the rooftop and head down the library.
he arrives at the library and immediately spots you sitting down, getting frustrated with yourself, and a bunch of books messily sprawled out on your table. he chooses not to sit with you, due to how you treated him earlier. he spots kagami inside and plops himself down on a chair beside him, which was much farther from yours, and opens his textbook to study on his own. he doesnât want to think about the unusual events that happened earlier today, but he really couldnât brush it off his mind.

i don't know how long i've been staring at the mirror. instead of my reflection, the ghostly woman is staring back at me with a sickly smile on her face. when kuroko calls me, i turn my head at the sound of his voice then turn back to the mirror. the ghostly woman is gone, and i look really pale. i quickly collect my things and head outside, seeing him there waiting for me. "thanks for the reminder," i say before glaring at him. "now leave me alone."
he was instantly taken aback by your words. he genuinely thought he was doing pretty well befriending you; guess not. he merely blinks at you and slowly gives you a nod. â...okay. iâm sorry, if iâve done something that made you uncomfortable,â he mutters, slightly looking down at the floor. he also notices that youâve gotten awfully pale, but he doesnât mention it anymore, thinking that you would just snap at him.
he takes a few steps forward and stops right beside the open door of the restroom. he subtly glances inside, staring intently at the mirror, which only reflected the empty walls of the restroom, before slinging his bag over his shoulder and proceeding to head to his classroom. he knows that something isnât right at all, and if you refuse to tell him what you know, heâs going to try to find out on his own.

my mouth clamps shut when he answers, knowing he hasn't seen anything. when he prompts me to talk about it, i debate on whether i should tell him or not. i don't think he's the type to tease me and call me delusional, but i don't know if telling him will somehow drag him even more into this mess. "nothing." i shake my head. "i didn't see anything. i've got to go." i move past him and go to the restroom, wanting to be alone to think about things.
he follows you but then stays outside of the restroom, leaning against the wall beside the restroom door. heâs close enough that you can hear him from there. should he still press on the topic? he wonders, but then decides that it would be best to talk about it somewhere elseâsomewhere safer and more private.
he continues to wait for you outside, no matter long on it has already been. he then decides to call out to you, since you havenât come out for quite some time. âkobayashi-san? itâs almost time.â

due to the unnerving events just a few moments ago, i'm jumpy and the sudden hand on my shoulder makes me jump away from him. when i realize it's only kuroko, i breathe a sigh of relief. "don't scare me like that! wait⊠cold?" i remember the woman wrapping her arms around him. "you only felt cold after all that? nothing else?"
âhm? after what?â he did not understand what you were pertaining to. he did feel cold, but that was about it. you seemed to be referring to something he had no knowledge of.
after a moment of silence and confusion, he speaks up. âyou saw something, didnât you?â he lets go of your shoulder. âsomething out of the ordinary is happening, right?â he takes your hand and leads you somewhere empty and quiet. âplease tell me. what did you see, kobayashi-san?â

i stay still for a while, staring at where the woman had been. no one else looks like they saw what i did and it disturbs me. i shake it off and look at kuroko. "yeah," i reply simply, brushing past him and walking ahead. i'm shaken and i can't focus on anything. the woman feels familiar but i've never seen her before. what could it mean?
kuroko, although he had only felt the coldness of the air, was shaken as well. it could have been a sudden change of weather, but it seemed like he was the only one who felt as if he was sitting in an igloo in Antarctica.
he notices youâre also awfully quiet. maybe you felt cold too, but you just a high tolerance for it. after a moment of silence and pondering, he catches up to you and places his hand on your shoulder. âyou werenât feeling cold, were you?â

i watch him run back inside and look around. the other students don't seem to notice him but i know he's bothered by something. i continue to look around and see something dark at the corner of my eyes, but when i turn my head to look, there's nothing there. i'm too caught up in my thoughts and jump when he speaks up. "oh! uh... let's... let's get back inside," i say, grabbing at his jacket sleeve.
before you could get even up, a beautiful woman appears behind kuroko and gently wraps her skinny, pale arms around his shoulders, leaning her head against his. she abruptly turns to face you, her stare piercing through your soul. she gives you a soft smile that slowly turned wider, and wider, until it turned a horrifying one that stretched until her cheeks.
kuroko, still feeling cold, simply nods and slowly gets up, causing the unknown entity to fade into thin air with an echoed giggle. suddenly, all the warmth he felt came back, and he stopped shivering. he blinked twice in confusion before looking at you again. âyeah... letâs get back.â

"oh, i see." i nod, picking at my lunch as i listen to him. "yeah, maybe i can get one of the girls to introduce me to someone smart. hey! how about--" when i notice him hugging himself, i quirk a brow in confusion. "you okay? you look cold. did you catch something?" ((i am... embarrassed đđđ))
he shakes his head, but even that simple action quite hard for him to do. âi-iâm fine. please donât worry about me,â he responds. he doesnât want you to think heâs delusional because you seemed perfectly fine. âi think i just... need my jacket,â he says, as he dashes down to the classroom to grab his jacket.
now inside the classroom, he wasnât as cold as how he was upstairs. however, he could still feel something cold slapping his face. he didnât want to leave you to eat by yourself, though, so he forces himself to run back upstairs and sit back down with you. âi feel much better now,â he lies. âwhat you were saying, kobayashi-san?â
â HAHAHA no itâs okay, donât be;))))

i have a feeling he's not really telling the truth but i dismiss it. i eat my lunch silently for a while, looking at him when he asks me a question. "well, i can get around the school since it's a pretty new building. i could use some help with history and math though. are you any good at those?"
he ponders a bit, not sure whether he was actually good at either math or history. âi am decent at both,â he responds, squinting an eye at the unusually cold breeze. âi can teach you the basics and easier terminologies, but i think youâll need to ask someone else to teach you the more complex aspects.â he then takes a look at his palms and sees himself shivering. he wraps his arms around himself and leans on the wall beside him, looking up at the sky that looked perfectly fine and sunny. why is it so... cold?
â oh also ur seokjin rp is making me bLUSH HAHAHAHA

the breeze is still light and refreshing for me as i enjoy it. just as i opened my lunch box, i notice his face. "what? what's wrong?" i don't understand why he seems troubled because it's a beautiful day and nothing's really happening at the rooftop. the other students around us are also minding their own business, enjoying their lunch. "kuroko-kun?"
he opens his eyes to see everyone acting normal, as if they didnât feel the harsh winds. maybe he was just being crazy, he thought, and tried not to mind it anymore, no matter how bothered he felt. âitâs nothing,â he responds in his usual tone.
he proceeds to open his lunch box as well and tries to eat his meal in peace. he doesnât want to worry you, or anyone, with something that might just be going on in his head. heâs doing well at hiding it and just begins to converse with you to cover it up. âis there anything you need help with so far?â
â okay tbh idk what i just did there with kuroko and the âharsh windsâ HAHAHAHA

i blush but smile back. "really? i hope so! i hate being stuck inside that stuffy classroom," i comment. we reach the rooftop and i stand there for a moment, enjoying the sun on my face and the wind in my hair. "it really is refreshing," i say, sitting down at an empty spot. i see a few other people eating lunch at the rooftop. "seems like we're not the only ones who like eating here."
kuroko sits down next to you and hands you your lunch bag. âeveryone must be enjoying how refreshing the wind is today,â he replies before he closes his eyes and feels the breeze caress his face. at first, it felt like a refreshing breeze, but then it starts getting stronger and colder. the caresses start feeling more like slaps. he scrunches his eyebrows when he suddenly has an unsettling feeling.

"it's fine." i chuckle and brush it off. eating lunch together... maybe i should give it a shot? he's persistent anyway, so he'll probably keep on asking until i agree. i nod. "yeah, sure! can't see any harm in eating lunch with someone once in a while. is kagami-kun going to be joining us?" i gesture to the empty seat in front of kuroko. ((i hope you guys are staying safe! please take care!))
kuroko cocks his head to the side, confused as to how kagami suddenly disappeared when he was just there literally two seconds ago. âkagami-kun...?â he slowly stands up and looks around to try and find kagami. he spots him at the door giving him the widest grin ever and a quick thumbs up before running off. he looks down and scratches his cheek with his index finger. âi guess not,â he responds monotonously.
realizing that the classroom was now silent and empty, he grabs his lunchback and takes yours in his other hand. âletâs go. the wind upstairs is very refreshing today.â he says, giving her a soft smile.
â thank you!! you too. umi is also doing fine, but sheâs still busy with schoolwork:((

âwellâŠâ i look at the girl i was talking to earlier. sheâs now talking to a few of her friends and her circle of friends arenât usually the people i hang around with. when i turn back to kuroko, i see that heâs already dozing off. i smile at his situation before focusing on something else. the lesson starts and kuroko is still dozing off. iâll just have to give him my answer during lunch time which comes all too soon. âkuroko-kun?â i poke his cheek to get him to wake up.
with his eyes still shut, he gently grabs your finger with his thumb and index finger and lowers it down a little. âkagami-kun, please donâtââ he says, turning his head to face you with half-lidded eyes. as soon as he recognizes your face, he lets go of your finger and rubs his right eye. âsorry,â he mumbles, a bit embarrassed to have mistaken you for kagami. âoh,â he remembers his letter to you and slightly perks up. âwill we be eating lunch together, kobayashi-san?â he asks, getting straight to the point.

i look at the folded note in my hand. the girl iâm talking to says she didnât see anyone approach, but i have a feeling i know who itâs from. i read the note before looking at kuroko. âso are you gonna eat lunch with the mystery person?â the girl asks. i laugh before waving her off to sit down on my seat. i donât know how to answer yet so i just ask kuroko about the note. âdid you write this?â
kuroko pauses whatever he was doing to face you. he merely hummed in response before breaking eye contact with you and going through his homeworks again. âyou donât have to though. i was just wondering,â he responds, referring the what he wrote in the note. he says that, but he really does want to eat with you. heâll respect your decision though, whatever you choose. after he finished reviewing his homeworks, he rests his head on his palm, gazing out the window. after a little while, he starts to doze off.
â hi iâm sorry itâs superrr late!! ;((

đ„I felt my face flush at Kagamiâs smile and looked away from his face. âIf you lean down, I can pay your hair,â I mumbled and shifted my weight. âThank you for listening to me. I promise not to let you down.â I wanted to hug him, but wasnât confident enough to do it. âYou need to go to basketball, right? You canât be late or Riko will make you run laps. Iâll wait by the gate for you, okay? Now go be your amazing self.â I gently pushed on his stomach to get him moving in the right direction.
âYou better be safe while Iâm in practice alright?â Kagami blurted out with a slight blush enveloping his cheeks. He honestly didnât want to go to training. Even Kagamiâs zealous love for basketball could not compete with his cares and worries about you. âActually, Itâs alright if I have to run a hundred laps...â He gently slid his hand from his neck to his nape scratching the back of his two-toned red and black hair. âIâm going to help you get home first. How would you even be able to go home like this, Chibi?â He furrowed his eyebrows and looked anxiously at your knee brace.Â
