Interestingly, the apple pencil has position prediction, or some type of anti smoothing filter.
Note: this is NOT a bad thing, its actually a good thing, as it makes the pen feel more responsive with negligible accuracy loss

Been playing around with an XPPen Deco L lately.
Seems to have a very low pressure scan rate, and some sort of pressure smoothing. Also, there's a wacky transition from hover to drag. Not good per se, but not an issue when drawing.
I'm pretty sure its only applicable to newer tablets >2021. I think Deco L may work with Wacom KP-50X and LP-1100 pens, just like the Xencelabs tablets (both have hanvon ugee digitisers), bit I don't have my CTL-4100 with me currently.

There's more to fine lines than just levels of pressure levels. Pressure range and initial activation force is arguably more important.
