I went to the library to borrow some DVDs we're planning to watch, but when I handed the librarian my card, it took me a solid 15 seconds to register that I handed her my fucking weed card.

Me, fumbling to swap it out: "OH MY GOD, I AM SO SORRY, I was on total autopilot!!"

The librarian: "It's all good, I just assumed it was a flex."

The 'rude/demanding' tone would be stuff along the lines of "if you like but don't reblog I'll [threat]" which i see surprisingly often, both serious and more silly

#generally speaking it has no effect #but ‘please reblog! :D’ doesn’t irritate me the same way that ‘likes are useless!!’ does #‘likes are useless!!’ in fact makes me less likely to reblog OR like the post #bc i do not like being guilted or shamed into doing things #but just adding ‘please reblog!’ is neutral. it won’t affect my decision to reblog something or not #so maybe it would be more accurate to say that it’s not ‘no even if the tone is friendly’ #but ‘no but ESPECIALLY if the tone is UNfriendly’
