Niko is the first person that Edwin has cared about and lost, that's why his scream is the loudest at her death, because even though he's lived through hell twice, he's never lost someone he loves and cares about before.

My favorite part of Dead Boy Detectives has to be warrior cat crossover.

What I find so interesting about Maxine sitting on the staircase when Charles goes down is the fact that he's never met her - if my memory serves - he doesn't know her or why she's there, because it was Edwin who met her. I dunno, it's just interesting is all.

Omg, in episode two, when Niko says, "they're just upset. I know what it's like to want something you can never have." Edwin touches the Cat Kings bracelet before anxiously scratching his neck.

People think Lord Debling is boring, but as someone who is in love with and fascinated by the same things, he'd be the perfect person to info dump with. Then he'd leave me alone for three years and let me live my life and study my own interests deeper? He's perfect.

I wish running away and starting a new life was as easy as it had been in shitty 80s movies; I wish I could run far, far away without fear or worry and know that things would inevitably be okay; I wish I wasn't stuck.

Cat King: Do you and Charles have a special friendship?
Edwin: We're best mates if you must know.
Cat King, internally, probably: Is he oblivious or stupid? You know, I don't care, he's cute either way.

Why is it that during the scene where Maddie apologizes for keeping Simon a secret from Rhonda and Wally, is it that Wally is the one to say they should still keep it a secret? We find out that Rhonda was suspicious of Mr. Martin, but it had been Wally's suggestion, and he seemed to be hesitant when he realized that Mr. Martin would have to be told. I wonder if he knew something.

They literally saw that he did it once, and went, yep, he's up for the task! He'll know exactly what's needed, but this time there will be a happier ending.
Absolute insanity.
What the fuck do you mean that Richard Speight Jr. directed the hell episode of Dead Boy Detectives, what do you mean??? What do you mean???? What the fuck is this now????
Huh???
I have no words, or not enough of them at least.

Canonically – imdb didn't credit correctly – episode 3 of Dead Boy Detectives didn't have a director, therefore, that episode was actually a free for all of everyone making their own acting choices while the rest of the crew had to roll with the punches.

Could you imagine if the start of season two of School Spirits starts with another death in the school before anything is resolved, then we see the leading moment and everything that happened. We know there's another dead student, but we don't know who, and we watch as Mr. Martin tried to restart the cycle.
Anyway, I'm tried and that probably made no sense.

Now that you mentioned it, that's something I totally can see as well. Perhaps that's the actual reason why Maddie can talk to Simon, it's her power outside of the metaphysical world. It'd also make sense why Mr. Martin shuts down the idea any time he hears it, because he knows it'll only led to danger - aka him losing all of his power - and he's afraid. It makes a lot of sense and works so perfectly with other headcannons as well!
Do y'all ever think about the fact that Janet would've only been 16 at most when Mr. Martin killed her? The other ghosts ages are ambiguous but it's inferred that at least Rhonda and Wally are 18, Charlie's is a lot harder to determine, and we know Maddie's 18.
But Janet was sixteen, she was young and impressionable and easy to manipulate. She spent five years alone with Mr. Martin before Rhonda's death, of course when she was asked about when and how she died, she'd lie, because she's being manipulated by Mr. Martin. The only time we hear her he's still abusing her and pushing her limits because that's all he ever cared about.
She was 16, stuck with her abuser for 60 years, of course she chased the first sign of freedom she could get. All of them deserve the freedom to leave, but Mr. Martin is the one trapping them.

I just realized that during Jenny's and Maxine the song playing below their speech is Apocalypse by Cigarettes After Sex. As someone who isn't god at music theory, can't tell you why, but that's definitely important, especially since it only gets loud as the scene switches.

Well, we see Mr. Martin standing in a threatening stance at the end of the last episode, so I think he's gonna deal with that first, but I honestly think he's the one trapping them there, so he's not actually stuck. Whether or not he's forced to stay at the school to trap the others, I'm not sure. I almost think that if he could keep them trapped and leave himself then he would've been gone from the first episode after her.
I also think a large part of it is that he doesn't want to give them the freedom to help themselves and he's doing so because he knows with even a little bit of introspection they will realize they have some type of power. Such as with Dawn knowing everyone's passcodes, something that I don't think is a random fluke, but rather something they can all unlock in some way.
I also think Mr. Martin is capable of locking the ghost inside of the fallout shelter and only the living can unlock them, but when they do, they can see the ghost i.e. Janet taking Maddie's body.
I'm also really hoping for Simon to figure it out and help save them all, especially if Mr. Martin is as evil as I believe him to be. Simon might be their only chance.

You know, maybe this is what he meant when he'd never court her, just straight jumped to engagement instead, among other things.
Absolutely hilarious to me that the ton is gonna be speculating on why and how Penelope and Colin ended up engaged and there’s definitely gonna be some entrapment/pity rumours going around but the actual truth of it is that Colin chased a carriage down, fell to his knees and went “please please please please please please please”
